Temple Students

Listen in to hear Jess use Romans 6 to explain what "sanctification" means and why it is important for Christians to understand.

In this message, Alex will walk through what Paul tells us about transformation in the Christian life. God does this gradually through the Holy Spirit that He gives to every believer at salvation.

As we work our way through the New Testament, we come to Paul's 1st letter to the Corinthian church. In the passage, Paul tells Christians that one day, they will get new bodies. On that day, death's defeat will finally be realized. Until then we are called to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord (1 Cor. 15:58).

This episode is a continuation of our 1 Thessalonians message (which was not recorded). In this message, Alex will be teaching on 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 and 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12, looking at what our relationship should be like with God and then Paul's prayer for these believers and finally what our purpose is as Christians.

As we continue looking at the early church, Nick Lewis walks us through Paul's letter to the Galatians. In this message we will learn about the importance of being saved by faith alone and not works. Join us as we see what it means to have freedom in our lives as we live by faith.

This week as we continue to walk through the time period of the early church, Nick Lewis walks us through the story of the Jerusalem Council. We see where all the believers come together in Jerusalem to debate whether or not we are saved by faith alone or by Jesus+Works. Follow along as we find the answer to how we receive our salvation and as we learn about the importance of unity between believe...

What does a disciple look like? How do they think and how do they live? In this short message Alex Hinson will teach us about the definition, mindset, and lifestyle of a disciple. God made us to walk with Him daily and as you listen you will hear how we do that.

This week as we finish up the book of James with our second part of this letter, Nick Lewis walks us through Paul's defensive claim "Faith without works is dead". In this teaching we see that we must be a doer of God's word and not only a hearer, and we are also called to reflect our own faith to see if it is being proven real by our character and actions.

As we walk through the New Testament chronologically, we come to the time when the book of James was written. In this first message on James we will see the background of the book and how James teaches that God is at work in the trials and suffering that we face. Alex Hinson leads us through this teaching and prays that you walk away knowing that God wastes none of our suffering.

In this message we will follow the first missionary team (Saul and Barnabas) as they go on their first trip together to reach the gentiles. Alex Hinson will walk us through how God sends Saul out on a mission who was saved in a miraculous way. Listen in to see how this story compels us to go and live on mission for God too.

This week as we continue teaching through the book of Acts, Nick Lewis walks us through the story of Peter and Cornelius. As you listen we learn about all foods being declared clean and we learn about Peter sharing the gospel with Cornelius and the gentiles as they believe and receive the Holy Spirit in this gentile pentecost.

As we continue to look through the story of the early church from the book of Acts, Alex Hinson teaches us about Saul's conversion from a Jewish leader who was arresting Christians to a devout follower of Jesus who was willing to do anything for Him. This story of Saul shows us that God can use anyone no matter their lives before they were saved.

In the next message on Acts, Alex will be teaching us through the story of Stephen. As Stephen preaches to the Jewish leaders he goes through the story of Israel pointing to Jesus. Stephen's obedience to Christ and the Great Commission leads him to give his life. In the middle of trials, the Church continues to grow and add to their numbers. Listen in as you hear how this story applies to you!

As we continue to start teaching through the book of Acts, Marshall will teach us about God's healing power and how Peter points us to Jesus through the Old Testament. here you will see that God is the healer of His people. Listen in and find out what happens next as we continue through Acts.

As we continue in Acts, Alex and Jessica Hinson teach together. The students went to groups before this message and studied the passage before we all came together to talk about what they learned. We will see how the early Christians lived and what we can learn from them.

In this special message from a Sunday night, Alex Hinson will help us focus in on the cross. We will look at the things Jesus said while He was hanging on the cross and what we can learn from those sayings.

As we start our series through the book of Acts, Alex Hinson will focus on how the disciples were filled with the promised Holy Spirit while waiting in Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit empowered them to do ministry and empowers us to do ministry too. Let's look at this story and see what we learn about how the early church was born.

As we come to the end of our Life of Jesus Series and move into the book of Acts, Alex Hinson teaches us through what Jesus did after His resurrection when He went and made multiple appearances to people. In one of those meetings Jesus gives His disciples the Great Commission. He calls them to make disciples of all nations. He also promises to be with them as they go on mission for Him. In this me...

As we start to come to an end of the life of Jesus on Earth, Pastor Keith teaches us through the climax of God's story of redemption with the resurrection of Jesus. We walk through the text of His resurrection and pull out the key ideas about the story.

This week as we continue our series through the life of Jesus, Alex Hinson teaches us how Jesus is arrested and led away to be tried by the wicked men who hated Him. In this message we will talk about all of the trials of Jesus and the things that happened during them. We will also talk about Peter's denial of Jesus during those trials. Ultimately we will see the love of God displayed in His plan...

As we near the end of our teaching on the life of Jesus, we come to the Garden of Gethsemane. Here Alex Hinson takes us through Jesus' three times of prayer while the disciples sleep. We will learn about dependence on God and Jesus' submission to the Father's plan. We end by learning about how Jesus is betrayed by Judas and then arrested. Next week we will look at His trials and ultimately His cru...

In our sixth message from our March Serve Month we look at how Jesus lived life on mission, then accomplished His mission, and now He sends us to live on mission.
