Why are things the way they are?

Self Evaluation time. Bootcamp is over and i'm exhausted. But now it's time to evaluate myself and see how I did. I'm pretty hard in myself so hopefully this goes well.

Tired of being tired amiright? Everyone has their reasons for being tired, what are yours?

There are many moments in life that impact is more than we know.

Why don't you just chill out.

Behind every bully is insecurity, sometimes linked to entitlements, or even to tragic events. People are interesting creatures and how we respond to life makes the difference in it all.

Identifying what it means to be a volunteer and what it takes to have passion behind what you are doing.

I'm an excellent driver, just like the next guy/gal. But excellence is typically forged from imperfections, or something profound like that. Here's a few stories of what made me the excellent driver I am today.

Had a revelation of how I like to express my love for my family, and how they like to receive it. My wife will inform me of the 5 love languages, I forget them often. But I know this: she speaks in all 5 of them, fluently. 

What I like to call our teenagers personal conference leaders camp, but better known as our church boot camp. Think of a stereotypical Christian camp but with push ups and sit-ups. Also no kayaking. Oh and not cheesy guitar songs around the campfire. Ok you know what, it's nothing like the traditional lame-o church camps - our boot camp is the real deal. 

Had an interesting topic with a friend of mine about homophobia. We're still buds to this day, even with different views and backgrounds. Who would have thought, you can have your own perspective on life and lifestyles and not have to deem each other sworn enemies over it. 

Church kid culture is a unique reality. Not everyone understands it fully, and it can be very sensitive at time. This was an intriguing segment to put together as I had to come to the realization, i'm a convert, learning to raise church kids.

A very special episode featuring my lovely wife! We didn't have time to plan it out, but thought to ourselves: what a great way to end a road trip then to co-host a podcast together. So we did just that. And we had a lot of fun doing it.

I've never cared about what was in, or original, unique, etcetera etcetera so on and so forth. BUT I do have the sickest beach shirt collection and it is still growing.

Sometimes I feel the need to reorganize a room, and sometimes I feel the urge to move mountains. Both require help much bigger and greater than myself.

When trying to manage time, here is something to consider: you can't always manage time 😊

We are a very spoiled generation. But it's one thing to be spoiled, and another thing to be a spoiled brat.

If you don't clean as you go, then eventually you'll end up with a big mess!

Are you aware of all of the talents or characteristics locked up inside of you? It's possible there are world changing talents inside of you, that you don't even realize are there.

Why are we the way we are? I know this can open up a can of worms of theories and interpretations. But here's my take on it.

Therapy has become strangely trendy in today's world. It's like people do it for fun, but what's the real endgame- what's the final product to going to therapy? I reflect on my own past experiences to see if therapy would have been a decent answer for me growing up.
