Survivor Fans Podcast

There's a bit of a division brewing in the fan base. Either you're all aboard for the most featured player of the season, or the show's coming up lacking since the coverage of others is once again, shallow. We're looking forward to seeing if the underdogs can hold it together for another round of the game, and can't wait for another dose of our favorite show on Wednesday. We want to thank and ackn...

Did you hear that collective gasp? Another fan favorite joined the jury. If your alliance left you out of a critical vote, how long and what would it take for you to recover? Would you be able to rebound and rebuild the trust in time for the next vote? What would your plan be to manage your emotions? How did your assessment of the castaways change after this week's gameplay? Who do you think is pl...

The consensus from the fans is clear. You DO NOT want to win a reward challenge that can trigger resentment from those not chosen to attend, especially when it involves letters from home. Many were sad to see another fan favorite join the jury, and fret that we might end up with a flat finale if this trend continues. In any case, we are excited to see how the game develops in the next episode on W...

It's an age old, strategic Survivor question, "Should you try and win a challenge when you know you are guaranteed to make some people happy and others angry when you have to decide who will join you on a Reward?" These do not usually end well for the winner. What would you do? We're down to seven now. Who's social game is coming up short? Who will be the swing vote in the next Tribal? How did you...

The fans continue to ask, "How is making the castaways starve to the point of degraded gameplay the recipe for great TV moments"? Nobody's buying it. Regardless, we're curious how long the voting along original tribal lines will continue and excited to see where the game is headed next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we...

On day 16 they rested, and played "I Spy". Even though a new Immunity Idol entered the game, it didn't dominate the episode and we got more of our much loved Tribe Time! We enjoyed seeing them goof around and loved the insight into the multitude of voting strategies they considered as well as what they settled on. How much longer do you think the original tribal lines will be a factor in the votin...

We finally got a post merge episode with everyone voting, unencumbered with twists and silly advantages that resulted in a magnificent blindside. The fans really enjoyed it when production finally got out of the way and "let the players play"! We are all excited to see how the Three Stooges alliance responds in the next episode on Wednesday. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contribute...

We got another single day cycle this week, and we got some quality tribe time combined with some excellent insights into how the game decisions were impacting each castaway. What did you think of this week's vote out choice? The original tribal divisions seem to still be big factors in the current alliances. Who do you think will emerge victorious? How did your assessment of the castaways change a...

This was an emotional episode, and it elicited a range of responses from the fans. Some were happy with the end result, and others, not so much. Survivor's not a fair game by any stretch, but sometimes it can seem downright brutal in it's outcomes. In any case, we're excited to see how the battle lines are drawn now, and to see which alliance will end up in control on Wednesday! We want to thank a...

Wow, that was exciting! They sure can pack a lot into a single day of the game. Battle lines have been drawn. It's going to be exciting to see how it plays out from here. Who do you think is controlling the game? Do you think they can hang on to power? Who are the front runners to make it to the Final Tribal council? How did your assessment of the castaways change after this week's gameplay? Who d...

Yay! We have officially reached the Merge, and the second stage of the game has begun. Many found this episode predictable as evidenced by the large number of correct selections for the Vote-Out choice in JSFL this week. There are a few front runners and fans also highlighted some potential Under-the-Radar winners too. We are excited to learn more about the twist Probst hinted at and can't wait fo...

Whether or not you are a fan of "Earn the Merge", we can all likely agree this is so much better without the hourglass twist. The game will change dramatically from here. It should be interesting to see how the remaining eleven castaways adapt and interact as the jury begins to form. What do you think about being able to practice with exact replicas of the puzzles at home? What do you think about...

The double whammy of no Tribal and no formal closure as another castaway left the game left lots of fans wanting more. In spite of that, folks found lots of interesting developments to discuss. Now, as we head into Mergatgory in the next episode, we are excited to see how everyone reacts and adapts to the changing landscape of the game. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to...

We certainly knew it was a possibility, but we hoped it wouldn't happen. Oh well. Looks like the game is going to shift into another gear now. What did you think about this turn of events? Who will be able to adapt and take advantage of this new development? How did your assessment of the castaways change after this week's gameplay? Who do you think is playing the best, and who is still in jeopard...

The impact of the twist along with the continued discussion of production supplied fake idols dominate the feedback in this episode. The sheer amount of idols, fake idols, and advantages is once again taking it's toll on the fans, with more expected next week. Thankfully, Paul's Visual Roster helps us keep it all straight and ready to dive in to the next installment on Wednesday. We want to thank...

"Come on, baby. Lets do the twist". The castaways were shocked and so were we! That certainly changed the dynamics in each tribe. How do you think the twist will impact the game going forward? What did you think of this week's Tribal Council vote? How did your assessment of the castaways change after this week's gameplay? Who do you think is playing the best, and who is still in jeopardy of being...

The fake idols as well as the agreement on the castaway voted out is a big focus of this week's feedback. There are definitely a couple of players that really stood out and are well on their way to becoming fan favorites. The response to this episode was overwhelmingly positive. We are all excited to see where the next twist will take us on Wednesday. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who...

We really like this edit formula: post-Tribal, Tribe Time, Challenge, pre-Tribal, Tribal. It provides some much needed insight to the social aspects of the game. What did you think of this week's vote? What did you make of the two new idols that were discovered this week? How did your assessment of the castaways change after this week's gameplay? Who do you think is playing the best, and who is st...

There's one castaway that everyone's talking about this week. There's also lots of discussion about those Bird Cage Idols, and how they're connected. Most everyone was sad to see the latest boot leave the game, but the exit interviews offered some extra insight into what might have actually been driving the decision. We can't wait for Wednesday night when we get the next installment. We want to th...

Would we have preferred another 90 minute episode in week 2? Absolutely, but alas, this season we have already returned to the standard, 60 minute dose of our favorite show. This one was packed with lots of tribe time, and we enjoyed seeing how the social game was progressing in each camp. We've seen how it played out in three iterations now. What did you think of the Bird Cage idol? How did your...

It's great to be back and it's time again to get the Survivor Super Fan's take on the first episode of season 44. The two hour episode with a single Tribal Council continues to be a hit. With all the medical activity, off the wall antics, and haphazard voting decisions, overall feedback was mixed, but we were happy to be back together, discussing our favorite show again. We can't wait for Wednesda...

Once again, two hours is the best way to start the season premiere. We love the extra time to get to know the new cast. What did you think of the how the season started with a "Behind the scenes" style clip? How would you describe the episode as a whole? Is there a showmance brewing? How did your assessment of the castaways change once you saw them in action? Who do you think is playing the best,...

Welcome to Part 1 of our JABBIC, Judge A Book By Its Cover, preseason show for season 44. Once again, we have all new players, so we have limited information to go on when theorizing how we think they will perform. We have shared our early thoughts on each of the castaways including how well we think they will do in the overall game to kick off another season of watching Survivor together. Now it...

As expected, we received a wide variety of reactions to the finale and the season as a whole. Feedback ranged from happy and satisfied to disappointed and confused. It's all here for the taking. That's a wrap on our coverage of Season 43. We'll be on break until we return with the JABBIC shows in late February for Season 44. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another grea...
