On this episode I am joined with two guests, Katie & Theresa, who both spent this past semester abroad in Galway, Ireland. Listen to hear about their favorite memories from being abroad, the travels they did in Europe, and their advice for making the most of your time while abroad.

This week's episode highlights Mikaela's ('19) experience studying in the Dominican Republic. She explains how attending a bilingual elementary school helped set her up for learning and interacting in her community in Spanish. During her time in the DR she completed service learning in a 2nd grade classroom and talks about the joys of speaking Spanish with the children. 

In this week's episode, Kelly ('19) contrasts her two experiences teaching in France and explains the different attitude towards education that she noticed while student teaching in France compared to student teaching in Wisconsin.

Amy, Director of Business Engagement at St. Norbert College, stopped by to share her study abroad experience with us. Amy has kept her experience very much alive, and continues to appreciate the lessons she learned abroad, even though it was almost 20 years ago.
