Im in Sundance, im hurt over losing a good friend, I love seeing everyone but I'm also falling into a darkness

The adventure from Colorado Springs to Sundance, Wyoming is finally made and I'm reuniting with some old friends but unfortunately good gains sometimes get washed with tragedy!

I run out of grace with insurance in my rehabilitation program and a big decision is made to relocate!

Just recovered from the last collapsed lung and its time to get back to Health South for some more rehab to see what I can get done!

Going through the same ol song and dance getting this collapsed lung healed up but definitely exercising the ability to kinda eat foot again!!

Preventative surgery failed after just a few weeks and now I'm back in the ER with yet another collapsed lung! 

Finally get to see my youngest kid and boy did I need that! But as it had normally gone, every uplifting moment comes with a setback, what is it this time?? 

I made it to the new facility back in Colorado Springs, New group of amazing people and the development of the Power Chair Gang, Let the fun begin!!

As much as it wore me out, my speech was slowly advancing and at about 7 months I had so much I wanted to say!!

My eyes are burning to the disturbing entertainment on my TV , but what a good laugh and it was time for a little flavor in my mouth, a dry tongue just wasn't appetizing!!

After my lung collapsed again I was transported to a local ICU for a lung recovery surgery which ultimately saved me from the nightmare of a facility I was in. Lung surgery and a new milestone met with the good ol vocals after 6 months, but whats my first word?

Five and a half months in I'm moving onto a new facility to get a bit more therapy to try to get something back but what a nightmare!

Approaching the 5th month of the worst disease that I had never heard of in my life!!! Movement is questionable but it was definitely trying to come around!!

The father son invention made on $5 has made a huge change in my world of being able to communicate, and a little movement goes a long ways!!!

We are in the 4th month and the frustration with communication is growing and growing but we are about to have a breakthrough !

At the 4 month mark ish, and the struggle with communication is turning into a real subject. I've reached a point where we have got to do something to make communicating easier!

We are at about 3 and a half to 4 months in and the struggle of not being able to communicate is a real deal. The level of frustration is really growing so its time to start exploring the options!

Depressed, Unmotivated, Weird Feelings!!! A little boost in my feeling with some good visits with some of the very best people! 

The power of the human body is so unexplainable but so fascinating its crazy. Depression, crazy physical feelings, so much to take in at one time but it is exactly how it is!

I'm at the point here in my situation where the mental side of the battle becomes a controlling factor in my life. 

Continuation of the start of some crazy dreams while in a coma. Really is like an out of body experience. Going through treatment, on life support, and we're adding a broken heart to the situation!

We have the official diagnosis and now its time for a plan of action. But now I'm going into a comatose state, with weird dreams!!

Suddenly it turns real with that feeling of not being able to breathe. Introducing total respiritory failure while trying to make a diagnosis. Finally we figure out what we're dealing with but while we're at it lets add a ventilator to the story!!

The first 6 hours after waking up paralyzed. 2 hospitals and a roadside meeting with paramedics!!

The second part of the introduction about who Shane is and the first few words about becoming paralyzed with Guillain Barre Syndrome!
