NewLifeNWA Messages

Samson's story is one that we loved as kids and saw as a story of one of God's mighty heroes! But as we look at the story now, we might not have gotten the full picture as kids. God continued to accomplish His will through Samson, in spite of Samson's decisions, so that is good news to us today.

Samson is one of the most well known names in the bible. His birth was even the result of God's miraculous intervention! Samson's calling from the womb is a great reminder that God is a long range planner who never takes His hand off the wheel.

Be careful with your words, they can come back to bite you. A lesson learned the hard way in Judges chapter 11. Join us today as we continue our study through the book of Judges.

Things are about to go from bad to worse for the Israelites in Judges 9. But, even though the days were evil, God was not absent! He was still in control and nothing has ever changed! God is still in control today!

The events and circumstances surrounding Jesus' resurrection—The empty tomb, angels, all the appearances, etc... cause us to consider a question of utmost importance. The question is, "What do you believe about Jesus?" Join us today, on Easter as Pastor Joe unpacks this very question.

Gideon, the great man of faith is derailed by greed, lust, and pride. Success proved to be dangerous and it can be dangerous for us too if we take our eyes off the Lord! Join us today as we complete the true story of Gideon.

God loves to do big things for the benefit of his people—especially things that they are not capable of doing on their own. The proper role of God's people is to recognize our weaknesses and our needs and rely upon God's strength so that God gets the glory.

God often chooses the “weak things of this world” to accomplish great things for His glory! Our weakness is a great conduit for God's strength! Gideon, Israel's next Judge in our study, shouts this truth loud and clear.

Of all the judges, Deborah stands out for many reasons. The biggest one is that she seems to be the most righteous of them all! A great example to us of a leader who gives all praise to God for the great things He has done!

Again, the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord in Judges 3:12. They were physically and spiritually moving backwards in their rebellion in more ways than one. But, they cried out to God and He sent them an unlikely deliverer. No one is ever too far gone for God to reach.

The Lord is preparing you to live faithfully and at the same time, fight the enemy. So, hard things in life aren’t necessarily bad things if they produce a spiritually battle-ready follower of Jesus! Join us as we continue our Courageous series from the book of Judges.
