In Luke's Gospel Jesus is sharing with a multitude about the cost of following him. He uses a language that appears harsh but there is no second place with God, He desires all of our heart. In life we often face the revolving door of issues and heartache and as much as we try we cannot get out. Jesus enables us through the Holy Spirit to change our revolving door of circumstance to one of victory...

In James 2 we read about justification by works and yet the Apostle Paul writes in Romans 3 that we are justified by faith not works. Is there a contradiction in the bible with these two authors or are they actually fighting against the same enemy of the Gospel. No matter what we do in our Christian life we are always challenged if faith is active in our lives and if not can we position ourselves...

Ps Pat shares with us from Luke chapter 15 and the story of the father, the son that stayed home and the prodigal son. So many times we focus on the prodigal and the perspective of the father and yet there was another son who was faithful and worked while his brother was squandering his inheritance. We all can find ourselves in each of their shoes and miss a culture of honour that God desires for...

In John chapter 12 Jesus and his disciples are at a wedding feast and little did they know that God was about to reveal something amazing about His nature and who He is with a miracle. The miracle of the wine opened the disciples thinking to shift from a mindset of serving the Lord to a mindset of partnering with the Lord, to do what he tells us to do even when it doesn't make sense, to abandon hu...

Ps Pat shares with us from John chapter 6 and the story of the boy who had some fish and loaves that fed over five thousand people. In one day a lot of things can change and it did for not only that boy but everyone who was there with Jesus. Jesus challenged the mindset of his disciples to unlock the breakthough and shift their thinking and a  mindset of giving and release.

In Mark chapter 5 we read the story of the woman with a severe health issue, she had this issue for 12 years and had spent all her livelihood to try and find a natural cure but it didn't work. This woman decided to do something very countercultural and touch the hem if a garment belonging to a Rabbi that was different to all the others, she believed this teacher could heal her.

There is a challenge before us for another great move of the Holy Spirit - Revival.  God has already done what he needs to do by tearing open the heavens and sending the Holy Spirit.  Using the analogy of lightning to illustrate the principle of fire from heaven and the example of the Welsh revival, we see that our role then is to prepare earth for the revival fire. This we do by: 1. Biblical, Chr...

When we pray we rest on the confidence in the efficacy of the prayers of Jesus, not our own consistency as Christians. When it comes to prayer there is no better example than Jesus, do we stop and consider the words of Jesus throughout the Gospels and what did Jesus actually ask for. Perhaps we would learn a lot about our prayer life when we look at what Jesus never prayer for.

Kristy shares with is about the powerful names of God found throughout the Bible and what each name reveals about His character, nature, and faithfulness. From Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who provides, to Jehovah Rapha—the Lord who heals, every name points us to who God is and how He relates to His people. As we learn the names of God, we discover His power, provision, protection, presence, and promise...

Have you ever been distracted when praying, those random thoughts that distract you from focusing in on God, I'm sure we all have. The Apostle Paul writes to us in the book of Ephesians about some things that we can do in our lives to focus more on Jesus. We are encouraged to put off certain things and to put on the new man and then to put away certain behaviours as we draw closer to engaging all...

As we continue the series on Prayer we look at the impact of the supernatural or praying in our spirit and the hinderances that can happen to stop our prayers getting answered. A well known preacher said "You won't know what prayer is for until you know that life is war" What is this we we fight as believers and how does our prayer have an impact on that?

In Exodus chapter 30, we read where Moses was given a recipe for the holy anointing oil, to be used initially for anointing the tabernacle, the various instruments used in it and Aaron and his sons as priests. The anointing is more than a feeling and each ingredient has a spiritual significance that directs us to different aspects of the anointing. The anointing in the tabernacle evidences the con...

The bible shares with us about the cycle of a seed to a tree and then the fruit that the tree bears, as Christians Jesus talks to us about bearing fruit and to do that we need to not just be positioned in Jesus but having a soil that is ready for the fruit to grow.

The bible tells us of 6 people who responded to the call of God with "Hineni" Many Christians respond to God with sure Lord I'll do it but sometimes God asks us to respond to him with more than a yes. Hineni is translated as "Here I Am" but the meaning is more than that, it requires a deeper place of relationship with God a sink or swim we are all in. God always looks for a heart that will align w...

In Luke's Gospel in chapter 6 we read "that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" We all have a story to tell, the song of our lives and that song is filled with moments that define and and make us, when we life a life filled the the goodness of God and Jesus as our Lord and Saviour our heart is filled with eh abundance of Jesus and we just can't help sharing that testimony. Nico sha...

We always want our prayers answered and we know as Christians that God does actually answer every prayer but it is either yes, no or wait. While we don't know the mind of God we can understand the ways of God and the bible gives us numerous reasons why our prayers may be hindered. If we think of the quote from a famous Christian author - "God always answers your prayers in precisely the way you wa...

The Bible teaches us that Jesus has the name that is above every other name. It is in that name he taught his disciples to pray.  The expression "in Jesus' name" speaks of relationship and authority.  Praying "in Jesus' name" is not a "mantra" or an "add on" to our prayers. It is an expression of our relationship with God the Father and the authority over the powers of darkness we have been given...

The day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit fell on the gathered believers, as promised by Jesus before his ascension, marks the birth of the New Testament church.  Ps Alan takes us through teaching on the connection of Pentecost with the Feast of Weeks, or Shavuot, and the giving of the Law on Mt Sinai.  Also we see a lesson for today in the prophetic ministry of Elijah and the double anointing th...

Nico shares with us the powerful call in the Gospel of Matthew to go into the world and preach the Good News with bold faith and courage. Jesus commissioned His followers to make disciples, pray for the sick, and trust God to move in signs and wonders that reveal His love and power. Be inspired to step out in faith, share the message of Christ, and believe for miracles today.

Abraham is one of the greatest biblical examples of faith and in this respect is called "the father of us all". Having heard the call and promise of God, he obeyed and began a journey of faith, a journey in which he walked imperfectly and yet one in which he persisted through challenges and setbacks, ultimately seeing the fulfilment of what had been promised. This is an example for all of us, to...

We all face pressure in everyday life and some even just face the pressure they put on themselves. You may think once we become a follower of Jesus that all the pressures of life will fade away but it doesn't. Jesus said in this world you will have tribulation and that word also means pressure, our hope and salvation comes of course from Jesus and what he has done for us and with us.

Ps Alan uses a sporting analogy in which he explains the importance of a sportsperson being in the right position on the field to receive a pass or execute a play, to illustrate the importance of each of us being spiritually positioned, ready for a move of God.  Sharing how God has already positioned us in the heavenly places with Christ, Alan then then highlights what we can do to remove the bloc...

The Apostle Paul writes in Galatians that Christ has rescued us from the curse of the law, taking all sin upon himself therefore redeeming us who have received Jesus by grace through faith into the promise given to Abraham. There is nothing you have done that Jesus Christ has not redeemed you from, this is Resurrection Sunday.
