Mantissa

From the forthcoming album 'Part of the Picture' from Will You. 13 tracks that showcase the slower, more introspective side of my production. Lots of ambient tracks and a few excursions into deep house and techno. Ideal for long journeys, home listening and rainy autumn evenings.

"An idea pops to my mind sitting around a lake, under a tree. The roots of this tree are going deeper and deeper looking for water." @aees-9

"Having met a delightful Mantissa representative at Field Maneuvers last summer, it’s taken us a hot minute to plot some suitably noteworthy selections and get something in the Tascam. Hopefully it was worth the wait. This was recorded on a Friday night, as we skulled back some vinho verde and dug through the collection together one last time, before one of our residents leaves this iteration of D...

"Emotions are the driving force behind my sets. They inspire me to create the best possible selections that take listeners on an emotional journey through sound. This set is no different — emotional at its core, yet infused with a solid dose of groove and energy, making for a perfect combination." Tracklist: Max Cooper - Woven Ancestry (Lusine Remix) Rafaël Murillo - Background (Alexkid Remix) Ser...

"I wanted to record a set with faster pace and a higher energy and I had put together a playlist with recent favourites in that category - but when I started recording, the tracks I had gathered didn't really fit the vibe at that moment (mainly because I was recording in a studio and not at a party) so I dug into other folders and made some spontaneous choices. the mix still became energetic and p...

"This mix includes some tracks I’ve been enjoying playing at clubs, festivals and on my SWU FM show this year. The mix starts on the deeper side then runs through some acid/303 bits that I’m loving at the moment, along with a few exclusives of mine that’ll be out towards the end of this year! Enjoy." @jurango Tracklist: Shed - Zone Jurango - Taíno Gold Savvas Ysatis - Mar’s Bar (Original Mix) Subs...

"This mix weaves together a variety of melodic, proggy, percussive, and techy sounds. I leaned into the kind of euphoric, high-energy vibe I naturally gravitate toward in both my DJ sets and productions, with a few left turns along the way!" @loxxe

"I had a blast putting this one together, I decided to get super weird, wonky, darker, and experimental. I would say that this is definitely one of my more experimental mixes, blending a selection of dark tech-housey, acidy progressive tracks and with some housey seasoning on top. I really hope you enjoy it and its ebbs and flows, and thank you so much again for the opportunity to be featured in p...

"With summer on its way, I wanted to record a mix full of some of my favourite soulful house, broken beat and deep house tracks to get me excited for festival season & sunny days in the city." @maria-hanlon

Alienationist descends into the abyss of what we naively call the self — only to expose its greatest lie: that it was ever self-contained. Like a vessel, it is shaped by what flows through it—data, surveillance, blurry memories. Blurring the lines between club resonance and poetic introspection, the Berlin-based artist fuses breakbeats, drones, and spoken word. Poems intertwine with pulsing 100 BP...

"This is a mashup of my favorites from a couple sets I've played recently in Seattle and Portland. When I play opening sets, I like to slowly appeal to people for the reasons that they may be going out: to move their body, to get away, to hear familiar and unfamiliar sounds, to feel sexy, to create new connections, or to obliterate something inside. Once I feel like I've finally got everyone on bo...

Following on from Part 1 a couple of years back, we've recorded another mix containing tracks exclusively from artists (and their respective labels) who have been on the series or label. Big thanks to everyone who's contributed mixes, tracks, blood, sweat and tears to Mantissa over the years. We wanted to make this seven hours long so we could include more but the fire alarm went off during our Pi...

Last year, Taste Rec. reached a significant milestone, celebrating its 5th anniversary. To celebrate, they invited some of the artists from their roster, along with a few friends, to reimagine tracks from their releases and create a sort of B-side catalog. This is Vittorio's contribution to that release.

Iggy Dope’s EtherwerkZ label continues its higher assembly of bass futurists with the third Ascension compilation. Volume 3 scours the globe to find Mulholland, Mercy System, Flaty, Oyubi, Warzou, NirBorna, Young Muscle and noRecall in finest form, cross-examining variations on the theme of broken club rhythms and meticulous sound design. Manchester’s Mercy System goes deeper with Pressure Changes...

"I leaned into the techier side of my collection for this mix, but there’s still plenty of the usual prog and trance in there. I think it channels that late-night, early-morning energy, when the chatter dies down and everyone is fully locked in." @timoren

"In this mix, I aim to take the listener on a high-energy yet atmospheric journey where bass intertwines with ethereal textures, in equal measure." https://soundcloud.com/ruthlss

"Put this one together in a peaceful time surrounded by nature, with tracks that were accompanying me in morning walks of cold sunny days. Thanks for the space and hope people enjoy the mix

"For this mix I featured exclusively tracks from friends, some dj promo, tracks from Zapped records and my own unreleased music." @anninamusik

The latest release on Oleeva sees a transatlantic collaboration come to fruition between Barcelona based Luis León and Unseener, from Seattle, USA. The two artists are building quite the repertoire together having released a number of projects on their own imprint Blankhaus as well as a beautiful ambient album on Satya earlier this year. Their Dubbelsyn EP leaves the calm waters of downtempo and h...
