Inspiration from Unity of Fairfax

Today is Palm Sunday, the opening of Holy Week. We will explore contemporary messages in this ancient story of trial and overcoming.

In each moment we are constantly creating the next moment. How different would our lives be if we were more intentional about what we were creating particularly when life is tough and we're in darkness?

As expressions of Spirit, we are imbued with the flexible, moldable energy of life. Are we aware of how we use or misuse our power to imagine lives we would love to live?

We don't usually focus on Country-Western dance during Lent, but there's a first time for everything!  Join us this Sunday to find out what it's all about!

On this first Sunday of the Lenten season, guest speaker and former Unity of Fairfax Senior Minister Rev. Donna Johnson invites us into this season with a message focused on both release and renewal.

The spiritual life is both an individual and collective experience.  This Sunday we conclude our series based on the book Birthing a Greater Reality by focusing on "the energy of community." Everyone who attends in person or signs the online guestbook on Sunday, February 15th will receive a special gift! Be sure to join us!

It's been said, "Pleasure and pain arise in the body; happiness and suffering arise in the mind."  How do we reconcile these parallel experiences? That's the focus of this Sunday's message at Unity of Fairfax.

A common New Year's resolution is to be free from limiting beliefs and conditions.  Totally achievable, but at what cost?  This Sunday we explore "the cost of freedom."

In Unity, we often describe people as "co-creators with God," but what does that mean on a day-to-day basis.  Join us this Sunday as we explore this fundamental spiritual teaching.

Is humanity continuing to transform, or is our evolution at an end?  This Sunday guest speaker and small group leader Rev. Todd Humphrey will lead us as we explore this question.

Have you ever asked yourself, "Why am I here?" We all have, and this Sunday we begin our 6-week series based on the book Birthing a Greater Reality, by leaning into this question. Speaker: Rev. Russell Heiland

Prepare to be inspired through meditation to receive a word or name that expresses a consciousness which you wish to manifest in the New Year. White Stones will be provided. Speaker: Rev. Russell Heiland

The Advent theme for this week is Love. This Sunday the Voices of Unity Chorus and Rev. Russell together will focus on something we love about Christmas - music!   (This Podcast is the speaking only to allow listeners to hear Rev Russ's message)

This Sunday we dive into the Advent theme of Peace inspired by the title ascribed to Jesus "Prince of Peace." What does that mean for us today?

This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent - the 4-week period of spiritual preparation for Christmas.  Each week has a theme, and this week's is either Hope or Faith depending on one's perspective.  In Unity, we celebrate both!

It's not enough to say "Thank you" for good received. As spiritual beings having human experiences, we honor the Spirit within as we embody the consciousness of gratitude in our whole being. That's our focus this Sunday at Unity of Fairfax.

Do you feel something powerful when the house says, “Hallelujah”? This joyful acclamation is an acknowledgment of God’s presence and serves as a reminder that we are never alone. Inspired by the song “Hallelujah Today” by Denise Rosier, this week’s Unity Awakening message from Rev. Russell Heiland is a celebration of Spirit in our hearts and in the world.

What holds the world together?  It's the Love that God is.  In this week's Unity Awakening message, Rev. Russell takes us on a journey of connection inspired by the song "Between Us" by Denise Rosier.

What is the meaning of the word "light" in a spiritual context?  It is the power of Spirit within to bring peace, healing, and freedom.  In our Unity Awakening message this week, Rev. Sherrie leads us to our inner light inspired by the Denise Rosier song "You Are The Light."   You Are the Light Rev. Sherrie Quander with "You Are the Light," words and music by Denise Rosier (c) Denise Rosier Music

Do you like presents?  Do you like your "present"?  In this week's Unity Awakening message, Rev. Vernelle invites us to co-create the present we really want, inspired by the song "Today" by Denise Rosier.

How does life change when you discover God within you?  In Week 2 of Unity Awakeing 2025, Rev. Sandy shares an inspiring message on this topic based on the Denise Rosier song entitled "God Within Me."

Do you know God?  This week we launch our annual Unity Awakening series of Sunday talks and small groups drawing inspiration from the music of acclaimed singer and songwriter Denise Rosier.  We'll begin by examining how we come to know God.
