We Want To Hear From YOU! When you decide that walk according to the will and ways of God, you have committed to a sanctified lifestyle.  The very word, “sanctify” means to be set apart, separated from the rest.  Jesus prays for believers in John 17 and says: “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.  They are not of the world, even as I am...

We Want To Hear From YOU! PALM SUNDAY: "The day the donkey upstaged the palms"  Palm Sunday, is about the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, the Sunday before His crucifixion.   Palm Sunday marks the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey. Entering the city on a donkey symbolized HIS arrival in peace, rather than as a war-waging king arriving on stallion.   Jesus ri...

We Want To Hear From YOU! In John 7 , Jesus is traveling through Galilee, while the Jewish leaders were looking for a way to kill Him ( John 7:1 ). When the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles was near, Jesus’ brothers said to him, ‘Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do. No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these t...

We Want To Hear From YOU! John 6:35 says, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”Bread is considered a staple food, a basic dietary item.  A person can survive a long time on only bread and water. Bread is such a basic food item that it becomes synonymous with food in general. We even use the phrase “breaking bread together” to...

We Want To Hear From YOU! In chapter 4 of the Gospel of John, there is a story of the nameless woman at the well, this is a story that reveals many truths and powerful lessons for us today.  This was an extraordinary woman. She was a Samaritan , a race of people that the Jews utterly despised as having no claim on their God, and she was an outcast and looked down upon by her own people.  This is e...

We Want To Hear From YOU! The final mention of Nicodemus in the Bible is in John 19 after Jesus’ crucifixion. We find Nicodemus assisting Joseph of Arimathea in Jesus’ burial. Joseph is described in John as a rich man and as a secret disciple of Jesus, as he was afraid of the Jews. Joseph asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Nicodemus brought 75 pounds of spices for use in preparing the body for bu...

We Want To Hear From YOU! I researched the characteristic of thunder and it further solidified why Jesus referred to John and James as the sons of thunder.  A passage I read concerning the characteristics of thunder read, “even though thunderstorms are dangerous, they can be a great help. They give summer water, cool the earth, and clean the air. Lightning balances the earth's electricity and...

We Want To Hear From YOU! Our physical bodies are strengthened when we submit to exercise.  And weight lifting is a way to develop muscle, and without weight this training is ineffective, the same applies to our faith muscle, to strengthen it we need weight.  One weight is the practice of loving our enemies, another is praying for those who persecute us.   Our ability to pray for those who persecu...

We Want To Hear From YOU! The ongoing process is change, as long as we have life, we are subject and responsible to submit to and be part of the process of change. The bible is clear as it tells us that we serve a God who is unchanging, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Why? Because He is Perfection, He already knows everything so God has no need for growth, learning, no reason to renew...

We Want To Hear From YOU! We all know the scripture John 8:31 very well, “the truth will set you free” .  And your response maybe then why don’t more people choose truth.  Because truth is not always the easiest thing to embrace.   The truth about self, will require some accountability, the truth about our relationships with others may require self-evaluation, and then again some accountability or...
