"By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another.” -John 13:35 We grieve the Holy Spirit when we let differing opinions snuff out our love for and relationship with people. Jesus isn't going to ask how we felt about someone's opinion, but rather, did we love the other person anyway? Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/13VlX5Co0BfU73LJHeT6kL?...

God responds with fullness to those who hunger for Him in full. It’s impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally unhealthy. We shouldn’t be so spiritual that we become a repellant to other believers. Have you ever had someone take something you said, then twist your words to make it sound like you said something you didn’t? That’s not something we should be doing with Scripture! If we want to be found as having rightly honored, treasured, and rightly understood the Word of God, we must learn to read it in its context and to let it mean what it means. We can't twist the Bible to mean what we’d...

A lot of people want to be comfortable, but in our spiritual lives if we are resigned that we're just going to live a comfortable life we will never have the edge of spiritual hunger that will drive us toward everything the Lord has created us for. There are a lot of ideas and sermons about what Jesus is like, but in the end you can’t separate Jesus from what He says in the Bible and still have the real Jesus. We have to take it all, even if it makes us uncomfortable, and weigh our lives against the truth of the Word so we’re conformed to what it says, not the other way around.

The most compelling witness for the reality and the beauty of Jesus in our lives is when we are so satisfied in Him and He is the center of our joy no matter what the circumstances. But how can we walk before the Lord in confidence and welcome His embrace? He is a redeemer who comes to transform and to change everything, but we also have to partner with Him and not turn our noses up at His convict...

Elders Panel - 01-08-23 - Vision For The Year Ahead by Heart of the Father Ministry

God wants to fill us with His fullness, but we’ve first got to acknowledge and drain away the distractions in our lives that take His place instead. We have to make choices about what we fill ourselves with! God is saying, “there is more fullness for you.” Lord, help us to be a people who know how to make room for you in our lives. We can’t be fruitful unless we remain with You!

Would the people we encounter in our lives be able to tell we’re Christians? Do our lives reflect Jesus to others? May our public and private lives not display self-centeredness, but Christ-centeredness.

Isaac Farias - 12-4-22 - Love's Glorious Mission by Heart of the Father Ministry

Enrico shares with us about his recent mission trip to Uganda and all the Lord did there, and Allyson brings a word from the Lord regarding the faithful application of our time and not being double minded in our lives and the things we do. She challenges us with the notion of being single minded and directly on track with what God is saying to us in our lives personally. The glut of the modern era...

If we’re going to be people of truth, we have to first love the truth of God in our inner person; saying one thing and living another is an affront to God and stifles maturity and growth by the Holy Spirit. How do we get to the place where we love God and experience His emancipating truth in our lives? Why should we pursue that? Why does any of it matter?
