If there is one thing I think we can unanimously agree on, it’s that healthcare workers are some of the most amazing people on the planet. They take care of our sick and elderly. They spend hours upon hours doing a sometimes thankless job, dealing with a heavy emotional burden surrounded by tragedy and death. Something else I think we can agree on is that some of their stories associated with the...

We are sad that we’re moving out of Appalachia, but I wasn’t quite done with the mountains yet. Several weeks ago, we had a listener write in suggesting we look into the Croke-Patterson mansion in Denver. After hearing their story, I was intrigued! So we’re going to take a trip over to the West and into the Rocky Mountains and talk about the most haunted places in Denver, Colorado. We couldn’t cov...

We’ve spent the last month talking about all things Appalachia. Undoubtedly, there are some strange and eerie things happening in those mountains. There are many theories about the different kinds of creatures and entities living in the woods and each one of them brings their own unique and frightening tales for us to share. Last week we discussed something called Crawlers, and if you didn’t watch...

Sadly, Appalachia April is coming to an end. But we have one more set of spooky stories for you guys from deep in the mountains. Today we have tales of more eerie cabins in the woods, a terrifyingly haunted house in West Virginia, and one family’s supposed curse with 30 years of hauntings! Last summer, in episode 133, listener stories 53, Kharma wrote to us telling us about a chilling experience they had in the summer of 2020. They had seen what they described as a crawler… Since that time, I have been fascinated by these beings and have had this topic on my list of episodes. I initially believed that crawlers were concentrated around the Appalachia area (hence their place in Appala...

We're in the middle of Appalachia April and loving every second of it! We hope you have a spooky time! This week's Tea: Harney & Sons Vanilla Comoro Share your stories with us: ghosteaspod@gmail.com Follo...

Most of the time, when we think of Appalachia we think of the southern mountain ranges – places like Kentucky, West Virginia, and North Carolina. But the Appalachian Mountain Range technically stretches from Alabama to Newfoundland, and the Scottish Highlands are even believed to have once been a part of this ancient land when Pangea was formed. So I thought we'd dedicate an episode during Appalac...

We all love a good haunted house story. Hearing about strange noises in the night from a ghost with a backstory is exactly how I like to spend my time. What makes a haunted house even spookier, in my opinion, is knowing that the home sits on land that is ancient and mysterious. Haunted houses in Appalachia are automatically something next level creepy, and so today that’s what I’m bringing to you....

Spooky stories from Appalachia have blown up over the years and lucky for us, there is no shortage of first-hand tales from people who live in the region online. So for today, I scoured Reddit for some of the strangest and scariest paranormal stories set in Appalachia. The stories range in location and the kind of activity witnessed, but they are all haunting in their own right. From suspected cry...

If you’ve been here with us long enough, then you know we have a borderline obsession with Appalachia. It’s ancient, strange, and down-right spooky! We’ve done several episodes now on some of the legends, lore, and scariest stories to come out of that region and with each new thing that we learn about it, the more I want to know. So, we thought we’d take the month of April (because I love a good m...

Late into the night of September 8, 1972, Minnie Winston was taking a bath before going to bed. It had been a typical warm fall day in the south, and a nice bath was just what she needed to wash away her sweat and any worries she may have had while taking care of her husband. She had always been more of a night owl and her husband, William, the only other person living with her at the time, had be...

We did an entire episode on NDEs a very long time ago, so if you want to learn more about the science behind near death experiences then you can check out episode 5. But today we will be telling stories from you guys that tell of something similar to that phenomenon like an anonymous listener’s grandmother experiencing that classic NDE before she ultimately passed, but also several that are a litt...

We often ask a question here on the pod – can people manifest their own hauntings. We know that hauntings have occurred via summoning with objects like ouija boards. There are also residual hauntings from large amounts of spiritual energy being imprinted on to a space, like traumatic or extremely happy moments or even repetitive events that leave their mark on a home or a piece of land that can st...

We hope that the end of winter brings solace to those of you looking forward to Spring! But of course, here at Ghosteas, we’ll always be willing to provide you with a good, spooky chill, and that’s exactly what we have for you today. We have stories of very old, haunted houses, a haunted prison visit, and a personal obsession of ours, sleep paralysis! So cut the lights, grab your tea, and let’s ge...

Poland is a country with a very long and turbulent history. Its ancient roots go back thousands of years when it was believed that a diverse population of ethnic groups inhabited the land of present-day Poland long before the first ruling dynasty took over in the 10th century. It has seen many rulers with different ideals of how a nation should be led. It's been through war where countless people...

Happy Friday the 13th Ghosteas! To get in the spirit of this spooky day, I thought we’d tell some of the most spookiest kinds of stories. Today we’re talking Ouija Boards and somehow also Appalachia. Two of the scariest and, in my opinion, most interesting topics we’ve covered here on the pod. It’s a bit of a long one, so get your tea and your blanket and we’ll go through this together. This week'...

When it comes to haunted locations, we all know prisons will nearly always make the list. But what kind of paranormal activity can you expect from a place known for its cruel and unusual methods? What kind of darkness lies in wait when the building was used for punishment that is known to have driven some mad, that is if they survived it at all. Today, we’re talking about one such place. The Easte...

We hope you’re having a lovely Friday and are ready for a chill! Today’s listener stories, as always, require a good blanket and a warm cup of tea. We have tales of haunted childhood homes that still haunt the dreams of our listeners long after they’ve moved away, suspected sleep paralysis demons that take violent action, grim reaper figures stalking someone’s neighborhood, and a possible message...

We’ve had a topic like this before, and I have wanted to return to it for so long! So when our Patrons chose this topic I was ecstatic. Today we are returning to our hometown haunts theme! Growing up, most of us have lived in a town with a strange, spooky legend or two. If there is an old, abandoned house down the street that your friend has seen the lights going on or off in the night, or if ther...

Today's episode is a fun one! For this bonus episode we're telling paranormal tales with a fellow paranormal podcast, ⁨ @BelievingtheBizarre . We're telling stories of Haunted Ohio in honor of our guests. We have a few listener stories set in this spooky state with haunted houses, an abandoned asylum, and possibly a mimic! We hope you have as much fun as we did! Check out Believing the Bizarre Lea...

If you’ve been here with us for a little bit, then you know we love dreams. The silly, the strange, and more importantly, the spooky! So I thought that since we were talking about dreams earlier this week with the Backrooms and Mall World episode (if you haven’t watched that yet, go check it out) now would be the perfect time to do our episode on dreams. So I’ve gathered a few dreams from our list...

Today’s episode is going to be a little different. It started with a topic chosen by Patreon, but as I was doing my research, it went in a strange direction. So let’s get weird for a little bit. Today we are talking about liminal spaces, dreams, and what could be a shared dreamscape between people who have never met one another. It’s almost a continuation of a topic we talked about on Patreon a fe...
