Frontiers

The second iteration of Frontiers, this one is rather more dance-y than the first. I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do with these, but you can hear I was beginning to narrow in.   (00:00) Solomon Grey - Miradors (Lane 8 Remix) [Anjunadeep] (07:49) Yuji Ono - Solid State [Ultraviolet] (13:16) Hector Toledo - Neptune (Dimuth K Remix) [Electronic Tree] (20:00) Tim...

It's been a while since I've uploaded anything to this podcast, eh? The truth of the matter is that I ended up getting pretty burned out with music by the end of things. What I had initially planned on being a break of a month or two turned into a hiatus of a few years - not just from a podcast/mix standpoint, but with my original music as well. Quite honestly, I'm still trying to recover i...

It's time for the grand finale . This isn't just the last segment for Summit Sessions 100, but it's going to be the last episode of the radio show for a while. I'm putting the show on hiatus for a month or two, but don't worry, I'll be back. I can't think of a better episode to end on. Tying off Summit Sessions 100 is one of my ultimate "Everest" mixes, covering the gamut of high-BPM trance, rangi...

Part 3 of Summit Sessions 100 wants to know if you're afraid of 138. Continuing the progression from last week's wonderful mix from Monoverse, Mike Squillo has given us a tremendous hour of fast-paced trance. It's not all uplifting, mind you - there's some fantastic progressive psy trance in here too, and the handpicked tracklist contains some very unique and standout music. As usual, if you enjoy...

Part 2 of Summit Sessions 100 is a melodic rollercoaster. Monoverse really knocked it out of the park with his guestmix. Picking up where Blugazer's mix left off, part 2 is a beautifully-flowing journey through progressive trance, and features a total of FIVE exclusive, yet-to-be-released, yet-to-be-announced tracks. This mix really does demonstrate why Monoverse is one of the fastest-rising stars...

Summit Sessions 100 has finally arrived! To celebrate this momentous (to me) occasion, I'm celebrating by doing four weeks of mixes, three of which are guestmixes from some great DJs and producers. To start us off is one from Blugazer, who is one of the trance & progressive scene's most consistently-amazing producers. All of his music has a unique style that sets him apart from everyone else,...

We're almost to #100! This one's coming pretty late - I've been bad about uploading this weekly lately (having a full-time job can do that occasionally), but we're almost to #100. I've got something pretty big planned that you won't want to miss. For now, let's just say that part 1 of episode 100 will be coming on the 20th of August. As for episode 99 , this one is more of what you've probably com...

The heat here has been getting intense the last few weeks. How about we have an episode that reflects that? As usual, there's some great progressive tracks here, and a steady build-up until the end. Enjoy! (00:00) Mark Found - Flashback (Tencode Remix) [Saturate] (04:59) You Are My Salvation - What Makes Us Human [JOOF] (10:40) Enertia-Sound - Acid Rain [Electronic Tree] (14:19) Estiva - Space Dus...

With the current heat wave sweeping Colorado, stay inside and listen to some nice tunes while you wait it out. That's what this episode is for. (00:00) NTS-51 - The Box [Sunlight Tunes] (06:21) Phase Difference - Black Rose (Alter Future Remix) [Saturate] (11:51) Gordey Tsukanov - Strange Type [JOOF] (16:21) Danny Fontana - Proxima Centauri (Darmec Remix) [Syncopate] (20:51) Wellenrausch - The Pag...

This week , we're breaking all the rules. As the first week of July, this episode should be an Everest edition, correct? Well, it's not. I felt like doing a progressive mix instead. It's a bit slower-paced than usual - it's only 10 tracks instead of the usual 11 or 12 - but I think it's super smooth and flows really well. (00:00) Yotto - The Owls [Anjunadeep] (06:04) Pion - Fade (Andre Sobota Remi...

Up now is an intense one hour journey. All the tunes in this episode of Summit Sessions are dark and full of tension, even more so than normal. It goes deep too, with some great techno from Fehrplay, Max Graham & Tim Penner, and Rick Pier O'Neil. (00:00) Ryan Z - Cortana [Nuevadark] (04:15) Jiminy Hop - Lunatek (Marboc 'Moon' Mix) [Electronic Tree] (08:58) Rick Pier O'Neil - Crystallized [Clin...

With summer quickly approaching, you would be expecting a happy-go-lucky mix, right? Wrong. This one is dark and mean and fun. (00:00) Oovation - Solar [Mango Alley] (04:59) Voxy P - Aural Anagram (March 13 & Hexlogic Remix) [Macarize] (09:38) Platunoff - Give Me (Solid Stone Remix) [Clinique] (14:48) Thomas Vink - Beneath [THNK] (20:41) Trilucid & Philthy Chit - Precision (Styller Remix)...

It's the first week of June, the sun is out, the weather is warm, and there's a huge episode of Summit Sessions waiting for you. That's right - it's an Everest Edition mix. That means an hour of high-energy trance guaranteed to blow out your eardrums or your money back. (00:00) Sean Tyas - Banshee (Evan Pearce Remix) [Unreleased] (04:04) Angry Man - Tyrant (Angry Acid Mix) [Monster Digital] (09:46...

This episode , we're going back to my progressive roots. For once, there's no techno or tech trance thrown in. It's all progressive house, progressive trance, and maybe even an uplifting trance track or two. It's a mix that will suck you right in. (00:00) Mike Duz - Lihuen [WeRecommend] (05:46) Ummet Ozcan - Miami Sundown [Reset] (10:11) Basil O'Glue - Dropout [Afterglow] (15:37) Gai Barone - Blan...

Weather in Colorado is weird. It dumped snow here a few days ago. Of course, since it's late May, all that snow instantly turned to slush, making everything a soggy, muddy mess. This has absolutely no relevance to this episode of Summit Sessions; I just wanted to share it. SS91 is a more melodic mix than usual. Enjoy! (00:00) Michael Mashkov - Korea (Sam Davies Remix) [Encanta] (04:26) Above &...

I can't think of anything to say this week that I haven't already said in previous episodes. Just listen and have fun and stuff! (00:00) Movement Machina - Soul Muse [Mango Alley] (06:45) Abdomen Burst - The World Is Changing [Pineapple Digital] (11:06) E.F.G. & Marboc - 1111 Km [Electronic Tree] (14:56) Marcin Przbylski - Werther Effect [Pure Progressive] (19:32) Airwave - Amber Sky (Basil O'...

It's the first Sunday of May, so you know what that means: an Everest episode . This one explores a very wide range of high-BPM trance, all the way from progressive psy trance to melodic uplifting trance to raw tech trance. It's definitely not as heavy as most of the "Everest" episodes thus far, but it should still be a lot of fun. (00:00) Ace Ventura & Zen Mechanics - Come With Us (Lish Remix...

Remember how the last two episodes of Summit Sessions were melodic and nice? This one isn't. We're back to our good old dark themes with this episode . I think you'll be more than satisfied here. This is a good one, folks. (00:00) Voxy P - Aural Anagram (March 13 & Hexlogic Remix) [Macarize] (04:49) Re:Locate vs. Robert Nickson and Neev Kennedy - Not Made To Break (Solid Stone Remix) [Amsterda...

Like last week, this episode is a little more melodic than usual. Enjoy the melodies while you can! (00:00) Cosmic Gate & JES - Fall Into You (Eskai Remix) [Black Hole] (05:21) Dennis De Laat - Sound Of Violence (Main Mix) [Confidence] (10:25) Ummet Ozcan - Miami Sundown [Reset] (14:51) Airwave - Amber Sky (Basil O'Glue Remix) [Bonzai Progressive] (20:16) Moshic - False Emotion (Airwave New Sc...

After last week's dark and hard mix, this one is rather more melodic. It should be a nice break from the dark stuff, at least until next week rolls around. (00:00) Blood Groove & Kikis - Harmonic (Mizar B Remix) [Silk] (06:00) Airwave - Amber Sky (Basil O'Glue Remix) [Bonzai Progressive] (11:31) Marcin Przbylski - Still Here (Rick Pier O'Neil Remix) [Vasilek] (16:16) Airwave - Pain Is My Relie...

I'd normally say that with the onset of spring, it's time for happy, feel-good music. This episode does not have any happy, feel-good music in it. Fun music, however? Yes. (00:00) Estiva - Stiekem [Statement!] (06:02) Alex Di Stefano - I've Got The Power [Outburst] (11:29) Danilo Ercole & Rafael Osmo - Morphosis [Create] (15:55) Fisherman & Hawkins ft. Sir Adrian - Never The Same (Rex Mund...

It's time for another Everest episode . I do hope you have your seatbelts fastened. I decided to try something a little different for this one. Instead of starting out at both a high energy level and high BPM, this episode starts at just a high BPM but lower energy, with a progressive build until the predictably-crazy ending. It's something I've never really done before - frankly, until recently,...

This week, we're going deep. Truthfully, this is almost a "Frontiers"-like episode, except it's much more focused on techno than melodic progressive house. In fact, one could make an argument that nine out of the 12 tracks in this week's show are techno. The BPM doesn't even go above 128 until the last song (when it hits 130). What I'm trying to say is that you should be ready to get lost. (00:00)...

We're back...again! This week's episode of Summit Sessions is particularly deep and dark - in fact, the first half is almost entirely techno. Need to go for a drive at night? This is the mix for you. There's a few tracks in here that I haven't played before, so I hope you enjoy. (00:00) Estiva - Tarmac [Statement!] (06:11) Elfsong - Tesseract (Jeremy Rowlett Remix) [Saturate] (11:44) Marcin Przbyl...

Are you ready for an Everest Edition episode ? To make up for missing one last month thanks to my equipment issues, this one is extra good - though I might be biased. Regardless, it features a great assortment of psy trance and tech trance work that should leave your heart pumping. (00:00) Daniel Lesden & Mekka - Aurora [Borderline] (05:48) The Age Of Love - The Age Of Love (RAM 2017 Rework) [...
