In which Piper and Lillian watch their first international adaptation of Jane Eyre. Spoiler alert: we loved it. Sangdil proves that Jane Eyre transcends culture as well as time.  

Armed with 10 + adaptations under our belt, we decide to (finally) turn to the source material and see what all the hub bub is about concerning this beloved classic novel: Jane Eyre an Autobiography  

The beauty and power of musical theater lies in moments when characters, so consumed by their emotions, must break into song just to convey the depth of their feelings... Yeah, this musical doesn't do that. But we do get jazz hands and a song about hell. 

In which Lillian and Piper dissect and analyze five crucial aspects of Jane Eyre: The Proposal, The Explanation, Bertha, Rochester and Jane. We look back on the 10 adaptations we've watched so far and rate our worst and best for each category, Academy Awards style.

Oops... Piper left town, so we put together this special episode to tide you over until we can watch the 1970 movie adaptation. We imagine a new version of Jane Eyre with our dream Jane & Rochester as we fan cast the lead roles. Maybe if we wish hard enough, someone will make these movies.

In which Lillian and Piper watch their first intentionally comedic adaptation. True natures are then revealed in a savage game of Marry, Bang or Kill: Jane Eyre Edition.   

In which Piper and Lillian put on their "Team Bertha" shirts and discuss which is better, a tall vampire or a blind man.

In which Jane and Rochester are given more time to converse and Lillian and Piper dive a bit deeper into the themes of this classic tale.  

Piper and Lillian return to Jane Eyre with an adaptation that cuts out half of the story and all of the animals.  If the host of the party demands that you ignore the man who's just been stabbed, would you keep dancing? Yeah... didn't think so.

Piper and Lillian return from their week off with a period romance that isn't Jane Eyre. After four adaptations of, "relax, Jane, it's just bigamy," I think we deserve a movie that makes us incandescently happy.
