In what we call the Great Commission, Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples and teach them everything He commanded. Doctrine ('doctrina,' Lat.) simply means "teaching." In Acts chapter 2, the foundation of the early church was the teaching of those apostles. Without a solid foundation of accurate biblical doctrine, a church becomes nothing more than a social club. But doctrine has almost...

The economy in our nation is doing well and many Americans feel life is pretty good.  But there are storms brewing that might threaten to bring more chaos and division to our nation as the underlying social and spiritual fabric of our nation spirals downward. Democrats seem intent on getting rid of President Trump regardless of the cost, tensions in the Middle East are ratcheting up, and Americans...

John Loeffler of Steel on Steel Radio has witnessed and addressed the attacks on both our churches and our nation by radical ideologies and movements, and joins Mike and David to discuss the many challenges our nation and Christian Churches face today. We start with a promise from Jesus: the gates of hell will not prevail against His true church.  But there has been compromise and complacency as w...

Mike and David visit with Jay Seegert of The Starting Point Project to discuss the controversy around aging televangelist Pat Robertson calling Christians who believe in a Young Earth "an embarrassment."  They also discuss the growing controversy in a few circles that are now claiming perhaps the Earth is flat after all. Really. Southern Baptist Convention President J.D. Greear suggested recently...

Islam is a false religion of very strict laws and teachings.  Adulterers and homosexuals are punished severely and women are treated as second class citizens or at times, treated as property.  This directly contradicts the laws of our nation and is completely incompatible with the platform of the Democrat Party that celebrates homosexuality and transgenderism and touts radical feminism.  Yet the r...

There is no greater challenge facing man then the reality of his own mortality.  Hebrews 9:27 tells us it is appointed for a man to die once and then be judged.  Death in the physical realm is inevitable; where a man's souls goes after death is the real issue of eternal importance. Born-again Christians, if we believe the promises of God, should not fear death...we should actually welcome it.  But...

Today we visit with Pastor Mike Abendroth and discuss the blood of Christ and the redeeming gospel. We touch on the  meaning of Jesus Christ as the only Mediator between God and man. We touch on the abuse of grace by some as well as the Book of Hebrews, the sacrificial system, and Sabbath rest. The human mind, created beautifully by God but corrupted by sin, is subject to believing lies are truth if the lie is reinforced often enough.  Today's generation of young people have been continuously lied to by Hollywood, the media, and a public education system that denies the glory of God. Too many are being indoctrinated into a life of futility and hopelessness because they are looking for me...

Where can we get the truth about attacks against Israel? Are they provoking these attacks? In the last 24 hours, more than 600 rockets have been fired at Israel from Gaza. The death toll is rising. And it seems what often makes the news is when Israel retaliates. The U.S. is moving a powerful naval armada into the Middle East to send a strong message to Muslim nations should they consider attackin...

Anyone can say they're a Christian. If you ask most Americans, including our politicians, they will probably say they "believe" in Jesus.  But if we don't take the time to ask them exactly what they think about Jesus or who they believe He is, we can't possibly know for certain if they are converts or counterfeits.  Progressive "Christians" claim they are doing the work Jesus commanded us to do. ...

The life of a disciple of Jesus Christ can be complex at times.  The Bible tells us we should trust God in all matters.  It says we can approach the throne of God in confidence with our petitions.  And yet it also says to fear God.  Trust, confidence and fear:  Not always easy to reconcile all three of those, yet this is the life we are called to as believers, particularly in a world that increasi...

Two facts are indisputable these days. First, the world is growing more evil. Darkness is increasing and God's Word is being openly mocked and ridiculed. The second fact is too many believers, people who profess to be Christians, are ignorant of the truth of God's Word. This leads to being ineffective in bearing fruit, living the Christian life and sharing the gospel of salvation with others.  Thi...

A deadly fall down a mountain usually begins with a single careless step.  And once we take that wrong step, the fall can be swift and lead to serious injury or death.  It is no different with our eternal souls - and the souls of others.  A single serious misstep of twisting God's Word to appeal to our flesh can often lead to deception or even a fall. Deceived or deceivers? Today, Mike and David c...

This morning we look at two serious problems facing the Christian Church in America.  First we look at Dr. Tony Evans' thoughts on why and how Satan is seeking to destroy biblical manhood in order to bring chaos into society.  Then we look at a pastor in Florida who has written a book tackling the problem of "Cultural Christianity", calling it out as a "completely different religion" from Biblical...

They, we start by discussing the importance of Christian parents and coaches in the lives of high school student athletes. We're joined by a local representative of a Christian organization standing strong in battle for young souls, Jeff Middlestead of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Hear how coaches and athletics can have a profound affect on young Christians, and why discipleship is vital in t...

Pyrite is a mineral made up primarily of iron that looks like gold, thus it's nickname of "fool's gold."  It looks like valuable gold but in reality, it is generally useless and of little to no value. As America continues celebrating godlessness and too many members of churches fail to look significantly different than the secular culture taking over this nation. A growing number of churches and p...

In our final segment today we look at the increasing evil and godlessness of our world, our nation, and how Christians must stand out as light and salt. Jesus said the greatest commandment is that we love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind.  The second is that we love our neighbor as we love ourselves.  Biblical Christianity is all about relationships in a world that is broken, de...

Our world is in the midst of a social and political upheaval that is threatening institutions and confusing a lot of people.  And many think this is a well planned series of events to lead mankind to seek a "savior" who will bring up peace and tranquility.  The Bible warns us of such a man and calls him "Anti-Christ". Gary Kah of Hope for the World Ministries joins Mike and Crash to discuss the ra...

We often discuss how radical liberalism is eventually exposed and dismissed because of its obvious self-defeating contradictions.  In their zeal to develop more and more "protected classes" of people, they eventually run into a contradiction they cannot reconcile with their attempts to make everyone feel like a victim.  This morning we look at liberals and feminists along with conservative women i...

Over the eight years on this show, we have covered a lot of news and trends in society as well as within the church.  One of our primary focuses has been to expose the darkness and draw a clear picture of a world growing more and more evil.  The vast majority of our public institutions have sold out to Satan’s agenda of globalism under the rule of his puppet, Anti-Christ.  In just the past three y...

There is a growing schism going on in within Christianity in America. It has been slow and subtle, but it is reaching the point where serious disciples of Jesus Christ are starting to take notice. This schism is centered around two important points: Is the Christian walk about salvation, or holiness? The Church's relationship with the world. Jesus warned that many who called Him "lord" would be co...

What people need now is more clarity and less confusion. Media, government and public education continue to push an agenda clouded in moral relativism, appealing to our desires and emotions but short on facts and reality. A political example would be the “New Green Deal” being advanced by Democratic presidential candidates. It sounds wonderful, but it glosses over the potential destruction it coul...

Two fantastic guests on the program means #doubletruththursday. Is that a thing? Anyway... Today, Mike and David welcome first-time guest, evangelist, Willie Herath of Ratio Christi in southern California and we discuss apologetics, deeper questions in the faith, and how to effectively respond to nonbelievers. How important is it for us to be ready to respond when people have questions or have obj...
