Send us Fan Mail Ha, I know right. I suspect that parents don’t have these conversations with their kids before social media and school tell them a version that is all too often wrong and instills first of all a topic in kids minds that most are not ready to hear, and also in their learning from any other source other than from the Bible, that other source instills massive insecurities, and I know...

Send us Fan Mail This message started its life out as a 6-part series. This however makes it difficult for those who want the whole bite all at once. Well, so here it is six into one. Sometimes I get so excited to get into a message that I forget to hang up the target before shooting.  So let’s hang it… Why a message on mission, purpose, goals, for a Christian walk, for your Christian walk? Why sh...

Send us Fan Mail This message touches at the heart of Applied Strengths Ministry (ASM) and is, I believe, todays answer for the world via the church. The authentically born-again, bride of Christ, filled and overflowing with the Holy Spirit, running first and foremost to serve the Kingdom of God in power that will shake this planet to repentance and usher in a harvest not yet seen by the eyes of t...

Send us Fan Mail What is this about Ken? Well as a believer in Christ you have been removed, mindfully that is, from any who are not believers. This doesn't mean you move out of your house or neighborhood if you get saved. It means that you begin to distinguish the differences and behave accordingly.  Most I am sure have never heard a message like this because you would have to have a bit hig...

Send us Fan Mail So who in the jungles of Paradise would title a message "Gorilla Bananas" and expect anyone to get where the story might be going. Well, I would and I do because I am me, and after more than four decades of shying away from me because I was sure I was born faulty, I finally adopted the fact that God had really made me this way and that I should live out the rest of my da...

Send us Fan Mail No father, no mother, no genealogy? How is this so? Well does satan have any of these? Nope, so then there you go; no but he is not of the line of satan. And more than that you will find out some other excerpte...

Send us Fan Mail In today’s world there is a great attack against those in authority. Now we cannot blame the God-blind from actin’ the fool and doing things that a person of God can see as harmful or even just plain stupid. What, you want a modern day example? Ok so here is a sign of the times with a sign as big as the moon.   “Defund The Po Po”  Of course criminals are in favor of such an action...

Send us Fan Mail The light of darkness beware… So in this message I was compelled to start with the New Testament and go into the Old Testament. Not sure why but I didn’t even plan on doing a message on the many faces of darkness because I thought it was kind of clear cut…at least in my mind. But that doesn’t even matter because as I was working on a message and pulled up a scripture that had the...

Send us Fan Mail Well if you’re going to be defined as an "oholic" then by all means pick one that speaks to purpose and destiny, rather than one that steals it. I have been other oholics but have found that this is the best type to be.     This comes from the mantra, "In service of others." not sure who coined it but no doubt they didn't expect that it would...change as m...

Send us Fan Mail The idea for this message came from watching football. I began to notice how many drinking commercials there were. But what caught my attention was another unrelated but related commercial which opened up with a tagline indicating that the man walking down one of the infamous tunnels that the team travels down to enter onto the field, he was a retired football coach. He began draw...

Send us Fan Mail So, what with the sharp title Ken? Well let me first welcome you back to this podcast, and if it’s your first time I can understand the question, but if you have been with me a while you know to stick around so that you have the opportunity to be completely wrecked for God in spite of what you believed before checking in on what I had to say. So, but back to the Nubian, welcome an...

Send us Fan Mail We are no doubt the most trained up Christians on the planet in all of time. I say this considering all of the available resources that indeed are available to us in these days. TV, Radio, Internet, social media, YouTube, Computers, cell phones and tablets, and the e-bible in which many are free. Yup let us not forget the seminaries and Universities, and the plethora of churches,...

Send us Fan Mail Unless you’re stomping out bricks without straw and given an unrealistic timeframe for doing so, it is nearly 100% improbable that what you need is a real job. Now I am 60-years old so now I am going to have to quote a quote, quoted many times in that upbringing which is, “when I was your age.” Ha now the difference is I haven’t stopped doing what I started doing to get me to wher...

Send us Fan Mail Ha isn’t this an oxymoron Kenneth Leroy Shelton? An angry Christian? Well it would be if we were walking and working things out with God so close that we would be completely transformed into His likeness which would then result in complete and total control of our violent emotions (Gen 1:26/Rom 6:5). You see, well wait, perhaps we should type in the, uhm, let’s call them goal scri...

Send us Fan Mail You would think we wouldn’t need to go over the benefits of making disciples that last and equipping the saints for the work of ministry, but in these days we have become very focused on winning the lost to daycare style churches. Yup I just made that up. But no we must bring a balanced approach to a church absent of revival so that we keep the fish we are catching. It does no goo...
