Disney responds to Bill 1557, the Parental Rights Bill, by declaring they will "repeal or strike down" the bill. The bill, which protects children from sexual groomers posing as teachers and administrators, is offensive to Disney. Disney, who makes content for children, WANTS your children to be taught about sexual and gender ideology as young as kindergarten. They believe they know how...

Well, the Oscars happened, and really, who cares? Nobody watched, but of course something crazy happened and went viral and actually we can talk about what it means in terms of Christian Worldview. Chris Rock insulted Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith defended her honor with the slap heard round the world. What does this have to do with us? Tune in and find out! Thanks for listening! At Church Pub...

The Biden SCOTUS Nominee Katanji Brown Jackson is a disaster.  She doesn’t know what a “woman” is.  She doesn’t know when life begins.  She has been soft on child predator sentencing.  She apparently supports CRT and the 1619 project in primary education.  And yet, because of the makeup of the Senate, she will probably get confirmed anyway. This is still an important issue as it highlights where w...

Austin Independent School District has a mandatory Pride Parade for Elementary students. And they have special sessions that are confidential. "Don't tell the parents!" Disney continues to alienate traditional families with a radical LGBTQ agenda. Democrats in Florida make Gay Billboards. And a Christian Reformed University in Michigan can't decide what marriage is. “Preach the...

Disney is no stranger to demons, but it appears that they are not even trying to hide it anymore. The new movie, Turning Red, is both wildly inappropriate for children and apparently is a weird lesson on communion with evil spirits and demons. Disney also has come out against the "Don't Say Gay" bill in Florida, which again for clarity, doesn't include the word 'gay.'...

We have left reality and we are creating our own.  When two gay men, one woman and two more women are needed to make a baby, something has gone wrong. In other news, the woman of the year is a man and the winningest female swimmer is also, a man. ----  "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and righteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the trut...

Good news! Because of the 6 week abortion ban in Texas and other laws around the country like it, thousands of babies have been saved this year alone.  But that is not enough. Innocent lives are still being taken every day before they take their first breath and men, you can do more than you think about it. Recently a study from CareNet and Lifeway Research showed that men have a FAR greater influ...

Are you tired? Are you anxious? Are you worried about the end of the world? Yeah, me too. Jesus talks about this. A Lot. And he talks about bread. But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 Jesus talks a whole lot about bread. He even did a HUGE miracle feeding 5000+ people with bread. What's the big...

You Can't Legislate Morality! I get this comment frequently. Don't legislate my morality. Don't tell me what to do. Or something like, "why is your way better than someone else's way?" How can you say that the Bible is better than other religions? Today we will look at 5 laws where the conservatives are pushing back and trying to regain morality through legislation an...

Ash Wednesday and Maternal Healthcare Today we talk a bit about Ash Wednesday, Repentance and a couple things that stood out to me about the State of the Union from President Biden. Welcome to Church Public! -- “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:19‬ This is not a popular message.  In fact this is the opposite message of the culture.  You are told you a...

(Im)modest Culture In a culture where Adidas, an enormous shoe and clothing company gets away with placing a 4 story billboard of bare women's chests with little to no pushback, a pastor graciously asks women to stop posting pictures of themselves in immodest clothing and the internet breaks. “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with b...

Putin has invaded Ukraine and I am hearing stories on the news and social media that this is the start of World War 3 and potentially the End of the World! Is this really the end of the world? Let's look directly at what Jesus has to say about it in Matthew 24 Thanks for listening! At Church Public we create compelling content to equip you to follow Jesus and engage in the public square. This is how we FIGHT. Not with weapons and violence, but with values and words and most of all TRUTH. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck." Proverbs 1:7-9 The famil...

Nice, but mostly peaceful Canadian Truckers are causing a mess in Canada.  Prime Minister Trudeau responds by threatening to take all their money straight out of their bank accounts and throw them in jail, probably forever. Meanwhile, grandpas and kids in bouncy houses are just trying to live their lives in peace and freedom. Canadian authorities have spent 2 years closing businesses, churches, ar...

Today we look at what it means to be faithful in the midst of incredible pressure. "He got down and prayed as he had done previously." Daniel 6:10 “When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done pre...

Cancelling Cancel Culture Why should I come down? "Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?” Nehemiah 6:3 Cancel Culture seems to have taken over our culture. You hear about it every day and you may have even been a victim of it in some way.  Why has it exploded in such a big fashion? Is it a new thing? And what can a normal, every day Christian do to Cancel, Cancel Cultu...

Workers of the World - UNITE! But not like THAT?!?!? Full disclosure - I married a Canadian. If I talk with fondness and love for our friends in the north, it is because I have fondness and love to the extent of living in the same house with one of those foreigners! Therefore my extended, married into, family is also Canadian and I have a great heart for what is happening to that country as well a...

Recently I received a comment that Jesus never claimed to be God and never asked to be worshipped. This one hit me sideways, because, clearly Jesus did claim to be God.  Many times. Actually his claim to be God is why he was crucified by the Jews. They were so upset by his claims to be God that they condemned him for heresy and gave him a death sentence. Actually they tried to kill him numerous ti...

The transportation czar tells us that he is going to eliminate ALL motor vehicle deaths allowing us to live forever. As long as we don't drive. Meanwhile, a woman yells at a man on an elevator and I discuss how Pride is making people deny reality. Welcome to Church Public where we look at Current Events from a Christian Perspective. "Land of the free  and the home of the brave." What an iconic statement that we sing at every ball game and other special events. You place your hand over your heart or salute the flag and remember that this life is bigger than you. You thank those that have come before and sacrificed for your freedom and you lean into your responsibility to be brave in spite of obstacles put in your way...

Welcome to Church Public  Current Events from a Christian Perspective Today we look at the 49th March for Life and the amazing amount of people who are speaking out for the lives of innocent babies. We also look at Canada and some kids who want to call the police on their parents?!?! Meanwhile, supply chain issues are getting worse thanks to policies and mandates. Finally, the Ukraine situation is...

"America's Military Should be Used to Oppress the Unvaxxed" says leading Utah Newspaper?!?! “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Benjamin Franklin, Speech to the Pennsylvania Assembly, November 11, 1755 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm Galatians 5:1 What is freedo...
