Brooknom's world

I am by no means an expert on languages and or translating especially ancient hebrew for that matter. I am a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ and a student of the Bible. I try to pay as much attention as possible when I'm reading and studying my bible.

What I saw coming out of the DNC convention did not compel me to jump on board at all, How about you?

I have no self sufficiency all my sufficiency is in God and him alone 2 Corinthians 3:5

There is always the debates and the back and forth with atheist and intellectuals. There is nothing wrong with questions and I have no issue with someone criticizing my belief. I hold fast in my profession of faith trusting God and also knowing that there are very logical reasons for trusting the Bible contrary to popular belief.

How do we build our knowledge concerning God?

I have many questions about the Democratic presidential nominee. I am sure these questions won't get answers any time soon but we need to ask ourselves these things.

Proverbs 18:13 is a good  verse to go to when sifting through issues and trying to figure out what position you will hold. Sometimes we can't get certain information, sometimes access is cut off, in some countries access is controlled. So there are always unique situations that will take different unique ways to apply this truth. What doesn't change is we as Christians need to hold to the sta...

If you believe something so special as God paying your debt, making a way for salvation to which you have no works to bring, would this not compel you to action. If you say you hold this belief and it causes in you no need for action do you really believe it. Do not get it confused salvation is in fact by faith alone in Christ alone through grace alone.

The Debt has been paid for us we don't have enough

If we were to ask what is true wealth and most valued there would be many answers money, cars, investments, properties, status etc. None of these in and of themselves is evil but all of these things Void of Salvation is worthless. Possession of these things are not unjust or unrighteous, but focus on these things is idolatry. The greatest of gain to anyone in existence is  reconciliation to God Th...

It only makes sense that if we say we believe the Bible we should know what it says.

Matthew 6:34 "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof". Unless you got all knowledge  your best bet is to be watchful and pray, God is still in control.

The Porn industry in my opinion has been one of the most damaging inventions and concoctions in human history towards the destruction of lives and minds.

God is in control even when things are chaotic

There is nothing wrong with riches but without Christ those riches are actually shackles.

If you are a rogue; who can check you when your wrong. What is to prevent you from following your own ideas and doing whatever you think, and in that instance what happens when your thoughts are wrong.

We all want to be kind and accommodating and rightfully so, but at some point a distinction has to be made . I have always heard the phrase "you are the company you keep" and I have rarely seen this saying not play out to be valid

These questions might not ever be answered and maybe they will.

At some point as a Christian we have to grow up. We can't grow up if we don't have the proper diet and I'm not talking physical I'm talking spiritual.

Anger is one quick way to make a bad situation worse. Anger removes your ability to reason or be reasoned with, it removes your ability to think logically, it adds multiple layers of contention. This clearly is not helpful to anyone

I have honest questions for an honest discussion not argument. I know often times some opinions are thought to have equal value in this instance I do not believe that is the case, of course this is just my opinion. There are conflicting visions for the country one lends itself to success one to destruction and for me it is that simple.

What do you believe and where did that belief originate

The need to speak sometimes becomes the license of fools

To God Alone belongs all honor glory and praise, I'm nobody.

I use to struggle with this whole concept of what my purpose was and is in life. God has made this simple and we complicate the matter.
