In this timely episode, we talk about Marvin Gaye's classic "What's Going On" and how his words ring as true now as they did in 1971. Before we get too deep into the percussion and sublime vocals, we take a detour to talk about two VERY important things.  1. Rob's top 10 commandments from dating in his younger years and his embarrassing reaction to getting dumped  2. How Sisqo ripped off the Beatl...

In this episode, we look at Revolver by the Beatles. Are we getting too old? We don't like the art and the guitars are too loud! Beck Did It Better Looks at Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys. We discuss the making of this 1966 album, talk a lot about wife swapping and try to figure out what a round is. We also all agree the God Only Knows is the greatest piece of art ever. The Mona Lisa sucks compared to it. We all agree on that.

The Beck Did It Better gang decides to discuss Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It turns out that it is pretty good! We also figure out the best songs about friends and give advice on whether or not "taking a walk" is a good first date for a fancy man. There is also a surprise Beckground research that will surprise and shock you!

In this episode, we introduce Beck Did It Better. Too intimidated to start with Sgt. Pepper's, we decided to take an episode to introduce ourselves and talk about our own tastes in music, our history with music in general and we also dispense some dating advice for our single friend.
