I grew up around girls. My mom was a single mother of eight. And all mysisters were older than me. I was the baby. But I was also the cause of my sisters’envy. Because I was the only boy, my mother doted on me. She named me Prince. And she lavished me with gifts and love and care. If you asked me what happened the day before I met Anya, I wouldn’t be able to come up with an answer. Truth is, I don’t even think I knew Anya before then. All I remember is that I was taking photos of the Milky Way one minute and waking up next to her in a villa in the middle of nowhere, the next. Some kids wish for the latest consoles. Some kids want expensive shoes. I’veonly ever really wished for one thing; every night, I climb up to the roof and waitfor a shooting star. Last month, I made the easiest five hundred dollars of my life. There was a film crew staying at my dad’s hotel. They shot a few scenes in the hotel restaurant. I was watching them work with a few of the waiters. I woke up to water drops falling on my face. Was it raining in August? Why wasn't I in my bed? Was I dreaming? I forced my eyes open, feeling the cold grass beneath me. After a moment, I remembered I had fallen asleep on the front lawn the previous night. It wasn't raining. The water drops gently sprayed from the sprinkler system. I sat up and looked at our house. I shouldn't call it "our house" a...

Hi everybody, I'm Oliver. I became a millionaire, and my toxic parents got what they deserved. You know, in movies or fairy tales, the story often ends with a happy ending. Unfortunately, life is different. As my mother used to say to me one last time, "Life is a slide, up and down. There was some truth in her words, only I did not think about it ... I'm Eddie. I was surprised to wake up with the sun so bright out. I reached out for my phone to check the time. It was past noon! My mom was supposed to wake me up that day. The plan was to have breakfast at the Museum of Natural History cafeteria and then visit the "Skeletons of Extinct Animals" exhibit. When my mom heard of the show, she got tickets for us without even asking me. That’s because...

Even though I live with my parents, we treat each other like strangers. We don’t talk. I can’t even remember the last time I had a conversation with my dad. I only remember my mom telling me to take out the trash a few weeks ago. Normally, she just points to the trash with her eyes. I was surprised that she actually said something to me that day. I do my own grocery shopping. I cook my own food. A...

Ever since I was little, I've always loved helping people. Once when I was in primary school, I saw an old lady lying on the sidewalk and shivering. I took off my coat and laid it over her. When I came home, my mom was shocked to see me without my coat because it was snowing outside. After I explained why, she hugged me and said, "I'm proud of you."Kindly please follow/subscribe to our other podca...

I jumped out of bed as soon as my phone alarm went off. I'd been consistently waking up at 2:00 am to play Roblox until about 5:00 in the morning. Then I'd go back to bed and sleep until it was time for school. I was so sleepy during the day, but I would still wake up at night to play Roblox because I enjoyed it so much. One night, while playing Roblox in the dark in a total trance, the light in m...

Welcome to the Here's My Story channel. I'm Leonardo. One day while making myself pasta for dinner, my stepmother called me for help from the front door."Leonardo! Come here. Quick!"I removed the pasta from the stove and hurried quickly to see what she needed. She had just arrived from her shopping trip holding a million bags."Three taxis are waiting outside to be unloaded. Go get those shopping b...

Fifteen minutes into our latest math exam, the teacher suddenly started screaming: "How dare you cheat in my class?! Unacceptable!" At first, I didn't realize he was talking to me...until I looked up. I was speechless; I was shocked. "Mr. Wilson, I'm not cheating," I stuttered, my voice trembling, "What makes you think that I am?" "I've been watching you since we started. You keep looking at your...

Welcome to the Here's My Story channel. I'm Eric. I've been in this secret room for hours. At first, I wasn't worried. I thought I would find a way out. But then I started panicking. I could only imagine my parents' distress when they real-ized I'd disappeared. They might have even gone to the police when they couldn't find me. It must've been long past midnight. I was so close to them, but how co...
