Almost Accurate

Bit of a different episode this week folks.  There's a lot of bad things going on in the world, and podcasting right now isn't one of them. Listen to us talk about Netflix's new series Space Force, but also take action. There is injustice in the world and there is a movement beginning that should never slow down.  Donate Now:  blacklivesmatters.carrd.co   Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture po...

What's new folks? Those astronauts are launching on that SpaceX rocket right?! Think that was delayed actually.  The PS5 is going to be 100x faster than anything you've ever seen right? That Snyder Cut of Justice League is totally real and totally finished... right?  The boys return with a FULL week of news (for the first time in a while) and we also have a movie review.  Tron: Legacy may have rel...

The boys are back, and you know who else is? Tony Hawk. That's right we got the exclusive list of all those songs that you love that may or may not be on that remake. Are the boys still going to go in on it? You bet.  You know who else is back? Scooby-Doo. And Shaggy. And Fred and Daphne and Velma too! The boys talk Scoob!, and boy oh boy did they sure put something on the screen. Was it worth the...

Are you watching closely? We do not blame you if you haven't been... after all COVID-19 has done a number on all of us. But what really is going on? One of the silver linings in this poop tornado that we've all been living through is that we have an opportunity to reach back into the vault and really examine some of the movies that we all considered classics. Up this week: Christopher Nolan's 2006...

Hey folks! How about that Space Force series? Doesn't look all that bad does it? You know what doesn't look quite as great? Sam Rami's original Spider-Man from 2002. This iconic and trendsetting film just recently celebrated it's 18th birthday, and since there is literally nothing else new out right now, this is the perfect opportunity for the boys to dive in on this classic.    Does Spider-Man ho...

Well well well, we hope that all of you are ready for the longest episode we've done to this point. Ryan and Jake have both completed the Apple TV+ series Servant, and boy do they have some opinions. Ryan showed up to record tonight fully prepared with an entire NOTEBOOK of thoughts. We know the world is a crazy place right now. So just sit back, relax and listen to the boys just go to town on thi...

What up guys, what kind've chips do you like? Also what do you think of Dexter? There isn't much new going on so we're going in on the ENTIRE series this time. No more snippets, no more summarizations. It's time to talk Dexter in full (and twenty some minutes of us being kinda hungry up front but that's beside the point).  Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who...

What is new out there right now? A game from 1997 that's been reimagined? YES. Is it amazing? Is it bunches and bunches of fun? You bet it is. The boys talk Final Fantasy 7 Remake and also touch on an old classic from the past that Jake always confused with Final Fantasy in the first place. The Final Destination Franchise. Apparently a mainstay of Ryan's familial home. Who knew?    Almost Accurate...

Well folks, not a huge amount of news on this week is there? Sony put out that PS5 controller that we certainly had... opinions about. Animal Crossing has replaced its entire ecosystem with eggs which is... something right? I guess the good news is that they're filming new episode of Tiger King?    The boys talk about what they've been up to during this strange, odd time of social distancing, from...

It's another ripper of an episode folks, and possibly out most topical (and tropical?) episode yet. We have a take deep dive into the world of Animal Crossing New Horizons (which couldn't have come out at a better time) and of course the Netflix documentary that's taking the world by a blond mullet storm, Tiger King.    Join the boys this week as they completely lose their minds trying to put them...

Oh boy folks. What an episode.  We talk about the new Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizons (briefly).  And after that... well who knows folks. We had a guest this week and things might've gotten a bit hazy. Hell, we even lost one of the hosts halfway through but the show soldiered on. So strap in, this is by far the longest episode of Almost Accurate we've ever done. Is it the best? No....

Listen folks.... the world is a bit crazy. Is Bloodshot the last movie we're ever going to see in the theatre? Definitely not.  Is the PS5 going to be good? For sure it is. Is Breath of the Wild still a great game? You know it.    But for real, stay safe out there folks, and if this podcast can give you a little bit a break from all the stress and crazy stuff going on in the world we appreciate yo...

What was that? Did you hear something? Sounds a little bit like footsteps just slowly stepping around... ehh it was probably nothing. If I can't see anything, there's clearly nothing there right??    In this week's episode the boys talk Coronavirus. That's right, Coronavirus. Also they drink some Corona Light too just for good measure. Tom Hanks has it, and that's sad news. Speaking of News, there...

DAAAAAA DA DA DA DA DA DUMMMMMMMM.  The boys are back, just like the Clone Wars. Season 7 time baybayyy. They totally finished it, and probably added some new stuff into it, what do you think about that? I'll tell you what the boys think- it's mostly okay. Not quite as good as the older series but hey they've only put out two episodes thus far so we'll give it a go. Also news. So much news (not so...

The boys are back with a full, and I mean a FULL news roundup. Jake had the flu so gear up for one of the most high-energy episodes of Almost Accurate you've ever heard. Like really. High Republic high energy.    The boys talk Jojo Rabbit and more so pull up a chair, pull up some earphones, and pull up several of your closest friends. It's heartwarming. And a really, really good movie.    Almost A...

It's finally here people. Some said it would never be released. But we knew better. We knew that at some point, when they decided that a movie about Sonic the Hedgehog would be made, that he should actually look, even the slightest bit like Sonic the Hedgehog. So it was written, so it was made.    The boys also have a full news round up including a Sony Playstation being auctioned off, Sony strugg...

Listen folks... contrary to what you may believe, it's always a relief when a movie comes out that we aren't super excited for, but it turns out to be really good. Like genuinely, unironically, actually good. We're talking about Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn, or whatever name they decided to give this movie). It's good. Seriously.    We also talk news roundup. Wes...

Hey, listen... things aren't always what they seem.  Sometimes Scarlett Witch & Vision are stuck in a weird time loop where their reliving sitcoms from various decades. It happens. Sometimes, Christ Rock and Samuel L. Jackson are doing a weird prequel to the Saw franchise. It happens. And sometimes, sometimes Planters decides to kill Mr. Peanut in order to create a shameless marketing ploy in the...

The world is a pretty crazy place right now. Maybe it's best to wind things back to a time when there wasn't an ultra-conservative regime obsessed with silencing anyone who disagrees with them. Maybe it is best to go back to a time when a guy with a middle part could be taken seriously...   The boys are going back in time this week. To 2006 to be exact. To discuss the masterpiece that is V for Ven...

So, toss a coin to ya boys... we've got some stuff to talk about. We talk about the Witcher, the Clone Wars, how Cyberbunk 2077 is finally getting delayed.. we have a lot of things to cover this week.    Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. So it's all come to this. One man, a 78 year old man with a 55 year old's poorly rendered digital face. Another man, age unknown, walking around with a large reflective helmet of beskar steel. It's the ultimate showdown, The Irishman vs. The Mandalorian (The Irishman is still longer though). What do the boys think? Lots of thoughts. Lots of thoughts indeed. One of them is right (Jake) and the othe...

2019... I mean what a year it was. It's certainly not the year that it is anymore now. It's 2020. It's the second week of 2020 some would say! But hey, this is Almost Accurate and Better late than never right?  Seriously, thank you all for the amazing ride we've been on, all the stuff we've engaged with, some good, some not so good, and some truly terrible stuff. So no jokes (not here in this epis...

So it all comes down to this... oh yeah we're back from our own Christmas break. Sorry about that... but also, Happy New Year! Let's get down with some MORE Star Wars talk, as one of this year's most anticipated films is finally here.    So take your lightsabers out folks and start swinging, let's go!   Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest i...

It's time to let the past die.... kill it if you have to. We've taken Kylo's words to heart and we're deleting every episode before this because nothing else matters after this. Ryan has finally watched the Last Jedi and his has some opinions on this, the most controversial  Star Wars movie.  Do the boys love it? Or hate it? Is this the movie that has ruined Star Wars forever because in this gigan...

This week, its a mystery who's even behind this rather suspicious episode. Well... just kidding, it's the usual suspects and they're up to no good as well. The boys talk Knives Out, the first in our two-part Rian (yes with an i) Johnson films (the other of course being Star Wars: the Last Jedi).    So whodunnit? Who's got mud on a rug or blood on their shoes? And who's getting all of the old man's...
