2 Fast 2 Forever: The Fast and Furious Podcast

We’re heading back to Southern California to find out what’s happening in the life of Eli Toretto in Chapter 2 of the Fast and the Furious fan fiction, You Are My Life Span. Playing the role of Johnny Tran in today’s production is The Mikestir. In this episode, we get a recap of what happened in Chapter 1, spend time in the hours leading up to Race Wars, then look ahead to the next chapter. Will D...

We've grabbed our uwabaki and we're pouring one out to the memory of Han as we broadcast this Lap 3 Tune-Up live from his garage! Before we officially kick off Lap 4, we're taking a look back to our time with The Mikestir on The Ridealong Lap and thinking about all the new ways we've thought about and talked about these movies. In this episode, we crack open a large mailbag, welcome a new listener...

The Ridealong lap is quickly coming to a close, but before we arrive at our destination and let the Mikestir go, we're heading to the skies in Charlize's plane for The Fate of the Furious! In this episode, we officially let Vin Diesel know that we want to be in one (or more!) of the Fast and Furious movies, talk about how Roman is truly the star of the show in Fate of the Furious, and get Mike's f...

We’re jumping out of the sky and trying to hack God’s Eye as we’ve made it to yet another episode of Furious 7! Joining us, as he has this entire lap, is resident historian Mike “The Mikestir” Manzi, who kicks things off in this conversation with a tiny bit of a hot take. We also discuss No Knees Denise (again, because of course we do), the similarities between Ramsey and Trinity from The Matrix,...

It’s not much of an exaggeration to say that Fast & Furious 6 is the greatest movie that’s ever been made. Once again, we’re joined by the Mikestir as we race to board this plane before we run out of the 18 miles of runway we’ve got ahead of us. In this episode, we get movie rankings from a new listener, chat about Mike’s favorite moments in the movie, realize that this movie is the Fast and Furio...

We've all hopped into our garbage truck and we're headed back to Rio to talk about Fast Five in the Ridealong Lap with the Mikestir! In this episode, we discuss whether or not Dom should have left the safe on the runway at the end of the movie, the actor who was originally intended to play Lucas Hobbs, and what the fan who thought it'd be fun for Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson to star in a movie to...

The Ridealong Lap continues as the Mikestir joins us as we all head back to Southern California for Fast & Furious... but not before we make stops in the Dominican Republic and Panama City to catch up with our favorite band of lovable criminals. In this episode, we crack open one of the largest mailbags in recent memory, cover a wide swath of news about the Fastiverse, and announce an exciting eve...

We’re continuing The Ridealong here on Lap 3 of 2 Fast 2 Forever, but before we drift over to Tokyo, we’re picking up Brian “Late Night” Rodriguez of the High School Slumber Party podcast to join The Mikestir of Third Time’s A Charm in our backseat! The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift is special in that it’s a Fast and Furious movie, a high school movie, and the third movie in a franchise… which...

We’re headed to Miami with the Mikestir in tow to talk about 2 Fast 2 Furious for Lap 3! In this episode, we talk about the movie’s neon underglow, the great entrances for Roman and Monica, and why it’s okay that both Roman and Han are both known to always be snacking (or should I say hongry?). Joey unveils a franchise-spanning theory that kind of blows everyone’s mind, we dive deep into the casti...

Welcome to The Ridealong Lap! This time around, we're joined by the Mikestir for all eight movies in the series. First up: we're heading back to The Fast and the Furious. Before we welcome in our guest, we crack open one of the bigger mailbags in recent memory, get an update on all things happening in the world of the Fast and the Furious, and check in on our new fan fiction endeavor. Then, we get...

Before we officially kick off Lap 3 with the Mikestir, we're taking a quick detour (the first, potentially, of many) to narrate the first chapter of the Fast and the Furious fan fiction, You Are My Life Span. Join us as we meet Elizabeth "Eli" Toretto, the third Toretto sibling, who is pulled between worlds: "Elizabeth 'Eli' Toretto is the youngest sister of Dom and Mia Toretto also the long term...

We've built our family and assembled our crew over the past few months, so we've stopped at Tej's Garage to use some of his Snap-on tools and his brand new lifts. Join us as we gear up our rides for Lap 3 with this Lap 2 tune-up (a.k.a. the relap/recap)! In this episode, we look back at the last handful of episodes, re-rank the movies with new criteria, preview the upcoming ridealong lap (featurin...

Will watching The Fate of the Furious ever get any easier? We've got nothing but time to figure that out. All we know for sure is that on this episode, we're joined by Kim Bhasin of Bloomberg (U.S. Luxury reporter and and host of its Invitation Only series on YouTube) to talk about the final (for now) installment in the Fast and Furious franchise. Kim was one of the masterminds behind the incredib...

The 1327 mailbox was bursting at the seams, so we decided to release this BONUS mailbag episode of 2 Fast 2 Forever featuring nothing but listener mail! We've got mail from old listeners, new listeners, and everything in between (is there anything in between?). Join us as we uncover a few fans' rankings, reflect back on past episodes, and look ahead to next week's episode of Fate of the Furious! E...

Grab your box of tissues because it's time to bid farewell to Paul Walker once again. On this episode, the Joes are joined by Austin Wolf-Sothern, host of Cinema Stories on YouTube, to discuss Furious 7 and try to track the ownership of Dom's necklace. Austin shares how much these movies mean to both him and his girlfriend as he regales the Joes of ways he's watched the Fast and Furious movies tha...

Allow us to welcome you to the world's longest runway. If you're seated on the left side of the aircraft, you can look out the window to see our guest, Jordan Polan-Clarke of Wistful Thinking, doing that circus. From the right side of the aircraft, you should be able to see the British version of our family, led by Bobo Dominic Toretto. And if you're lucky enough to be traveling in one of our excl...

To celebrate our second trip down to Brazil, we welcomed in Walt Hickey of Numlock News to chat about his favorite film in the franchise. As a former writer for FiveThirtyEight, Walt dove deep into the four types of Vin Diesel movies as well as the three types of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson movies, so we chat about where these movies fall in these actors' careers, find out who had creative control o...

Fast & Furious is the turning point for the franchise, pivoting from a series of world-hopping stories back to the core characters we fell in love with in the 2001 film. It's less of a reboot than a reset, but what jumped out at us this time around was how small the family here really is, with the film choosing to focus on Brian, Dom, and Mia. Joining us to chat about the fourth installment in the...

One of the defining traits of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift is its iconic soundtrack, which is why we wanted to make sure we called upon Chris Podcasts of the Now and Again podcast to help us break it down. But having seen only a few of the movies in this franchise before, the biggest question is: was Chris hooked, was he indifferent, or did he hate his excursion to Tokyo? As we continue t...

We're headed back to Miami... again... for 2 Fast 2 Furious. This time around, we're joined by Brian Rodriguez of High School Slumber Party to talk about his favorite entry into the Fast and Furious franchise. After opening one of the biggest mailbags in recent memory, the Joes talk about what they picked up on this time around, then welcome Brian in to talk about Suki, Tej, Roman, and the rest of...

We're taking a quick detour on 2 Fast 2 Forever to talk about I Am Paul Walker, a new hour-long documentary aired on Paramount Network. While the documentary doesn't go too deep into the life of one of our favorite blue-eyed actors, it shows how much his #family and friends cared about him, as well as how good of a guy he was to those close to him and complete strangers. If nothing else, there's o...

It's time for another lap, so we're grabbing a tuna sandwich at Toretto's Cafe, stocking up on NOS at The Racer's Edge, and getting ready to watch The Fast and The Furious... again! We're off to the races on Lap 2, like we're racing for pinks at Race Wars. This lap is switching up the script a bit as we're changing the structure of the show and building a family (or, if you'd prefer, assembling a...

Lap 1 of 2 Fast 2 Forever is officially in the books, so we're grabbing a tuna sandwich at Torretto's Cafe and tuning up for our second go-round. In this Lap 1 Tune-Up (Recap/Relap), we revisit our ever-changing rankings for the movies, and crack open the mailbag to get some rankings from some friends. But wait, there's more! Got a thought? Want to share a picture of a car so Joey can make Joe gue...

We've finished Lap 1! The Fate of the Furious closes things out not with a bang, but with a whimper. This movie's not all bad, but it's hard not to think that it feels more like fan fiction than the latest installment in the world's biggest action franchise. Got a thought? Want to share a picture of a car so Joey can make Joe guess what it is? Email us at family@cageclub.me.

You've seen the ads. You've heard us talk about it. We had to experience it for ourselves... we went and got Supercharged! In honor of Joe Two's birthday -- as well as our dedication to #family in general -- we headed down to Universal Studios in Orlando to experience the Fast and Furious Supercharged ride alongside Dom, Letty, Tej, Roman, and Hobbs. Shaw can't stop us! Got a thought? Want to shar...
