Pastor Tony invites us to consider the cross, and how Jesus meets us in our questions on Good Friday

Join us for our final message on apprenticing to Jesus. Today we "compare the pair" of two encounters with Jesus and consider the cost of following Jesus (or not!).

Every human achievement (big or small) requires vision, intention & means. The same is true of our formation in Jesus. Join us this week as we consider Jesus' comission for us to make disciples & live in the easy yoke of apprenticeship to him.

This week we consider the role of the Spirit in our formation as He both envelops us into the inner life of the Trinity, and sanctifies us through & through. Book Recommendation: "Practicing the Way" by John Mark Comer

Continuing on in the Follow Me series, Ps Tony preaches in Romans 12 on spiritual transformation in all of us. Let God transform you into a new person.

Jesus' primary invitation was "follow me". This week Riley begins a deep dive look into living life as an apprentice of Jesus by following Peter's life of formation.

At Victor Harbor Baptist Church we seek to be a people who follow Jesus and fulfil his mission in community together. Join us for this message as Pastor Riley shares some of the story of VHBC over the past 12months, and a sense of God’s leading for us as his church into the season ahead.

Pastor Riley concludes Summer in the Psalms with the final sermon bringing together the three different types of Psalms, orientation, disorientation, and reorientation; and how they tell the broader story of the Biblical narrative.

This week Pastor Tony continues our series through the Psalms as we consider Psalms of new orientation. Join us as we explore what it is to be re-oriented to hope in King Jesus.

Mary Ackers, Youth Ministry Facilitator for BCSA&NT, continues our series in Summer Psalms with Psalms of Disorientation. She spoke on Psalms 42 and the importance of holding on to truth even in the midst of life's storms.

Riley Smith continues our series on Summer Psalms by exploring Walter Brueggemann's category of 'Orientation'- where the world is as it should be. Psalms 19 speaks to the beauty and goodness in God's creation and His good and right laws for us.

Riley introduces us to the summer preaching series in the Psalms. Using Walter Brueggemann's framework for a spirituality of the Psalms. We spent the morning engaging in creative ways exploring the various types of Psalms.

Tony Ling draws us into the wonder of the astonishing news that in Jesus God is with us at our 2023 Christmas Eve community carols & nativity presentation.

In this final message in our series in Paul's letter to the Philippians, Riley reflects on the journey we've been on through the book and asks the question that Paul's life asks of us, "Do we have lives worth imitating?"

Join us this week as Tony Ling explores what it is to really know Christ and live in the power of the resurrection of Christ.

Join us this week as Scot Pilgrim (national director of Baptist Mission Australia) explores the contextual nature of mission.

This week Sarah Tymko explores "Who's Really In?" and a part of the people of God in our One. Family gathering.

A Jesus centred life is a life lived " in a manner worthy of the gospel." This week we explore the glorious hymn of Jesus' humility & exaltation as both the pattern & the power to live out a gospel centred life.

Writing to the church in Philippi from a Roman prison, Paul's words reflect a Jesus centred life of joy in the progress of the gospel despite his circumstances, inviting us to follow in his pattern of life.

In this weeks Sermon, Riley introduces the broad themes of Paul's letter to the Philippians as made known in his prayer for the church. In a phrase his desire for the Philippians (and us!) is that they'd stick with Jesus, and stick with each other.
