The Church Within You!

"My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD." Ps 5:3 NKJV Arrange your morning to spend a few minutes alone with God. No matter what is on your plate - do not attempt to do them alone - invite God to join you. He is with you and for you, and He will be good to you! Remember, no matter what it is, start your day with God! Blessings, Elder Hayes TWFY | Ps 5:3 NKJV

John 14:26-27 (NIV) promises that the Holy Spirit (the Advocate/Helper) will be sent by the Father to teach believers all things and remind them of Jesus' words. Unlike worldly peace, which is often temporary and based on comfort, Jesus' peace is lasting and secure. Blessings, Reverend BA Hayes Be Still & Know

Psalm 1:1-3 (NIV) describes the "blessed" person as one who avoids wicked counsel, scoffers, and sinful paths. Instead, they delight in and meditate on the Lord’s law day and night. Such a person is likened to a tree planted by streams, producing fruit, with leaves that never wither, and prospering in all they do.

Jesus teaches believers to pray consistently and not to lose heart. The promise of reward is for those who maintain faith and good actions. Trials offer chances to grow in character and hope. Knowing that God sustains us when our own strength fails. Persistence, firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action despite difficulty or opposition. Several conditions must be met for our prayers to be effective. Our prayers will not be answered unless we have a sincere, true faith. Jesus states explicitly, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" Mark 11:24. Let's take a listen to the "Requirements of Effective Praying." Prayer refers to the multifaceted communication of believers with the LORD God. You don't have to be a great speaker; you just need to deliver your message. Don't worry about messing up. Chances are, you will know more about your topic than 90 percent of your audience. Focus on providing value to the audience instead of trying to impress them. "You can speak well if your tongue can deliver the message of your heart." Blessings, The Word for You Today!

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we—we know that we have what we asked of Him. 1 John 5:14-15 NIV Blessings, Presiding Elder Barbara Hayes Be Still & Know | NIV

Our values determine our evaluations. If we value comfort more than character, trials will upset us. If we value the material and physical more than the spiritual, we will not be able to "count it all joy when [we] fall into various trials".Blessings,Presiding Elder B. HayesTWSB
