Riverbluff Church Sermons

I’m excited to be launching our July teaching series that we’ve entitled “COLLIDE”. Each week we’ll examine a life that was on a collision course with GOD-in-the-Flesh! We’ll see how through that face-to-face encounter their habits or hurts or hang-ups were forever transformed and their world view forever reshaped. We’ll also see how Jesus still meets those needs in the lives of those of men and w...

This morning Pastor Guy Smith will open God’s Word to us and lead us to think about GOD’s great plan for HIS people to pray for and bless the place where HE has planted us. Music Courtesy of Hooksounds.com

Today we continue our journey through the book of Ephesians where God’s Word calls us to UNITY! Music courtesy of Hooksounds.com

Often on Father’s Day we think about gifts for dad. This morning we’ll take some time to gaze at the very first gift ever given by our FATHER and opened by humanity. It may very well be the best gift ever given by our FATHER and the best gift any father can give. Music courtesy of Hooksounds.com

In this sermon by Pastor Joe Still we look into Paul's magnificent prayer for the Ephesian church found in Ephesians 3:14-19. In this prayer Paul prays that they would be granted power through the Holy Spirit to comprehend and know the immeasurable depths of God's love for them in order that their lives would be transformed to the glory of God. Today we will also celebrate God’s Goodness to us as a church as several from our family share about what the LORD has already done as well as some new Kingdom adventures in which HE is inviting us to join HIM. Music courtesy of Hooksounds.com

Please know that today will be different in order and form. And, even though the “preaching” will not feel normal today, (I know some of you are thinking “it’s never normal around here”), we will be proclaiming the Good News of God’s marvelous Love through the vision that HE has given us for ministry as a church. I’m praying that GOD will stir our hearts today to commit for the first time, or reco...

In this sermon by Pastor Joe Still we look at Ephesians 2:11-22. Here we see God continue to carry out His plan, after the resurrection of Jesus, through His people that are known as the Church. Through Jesus, God has united both Jews and Gentiles into one Body as His people for His possession and His purposes. God calls the church to live out of their identity as a people united by God and for Go...

In this sermon, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and all of the wonder and glory of this miraculous event. God raised Jesus from the dead. This means that faith in Him is not futile! In fact, putting our total trust in Jesus and building our lives around His teachings is the only effective and hope-filled way to live in this increasingly challenging world. The irrefutable resurrection...

On this Sunday before we gather to celebrate the greatest day in history, EASTER, we open God’s Word to a defining moment in the earthly life of Jesus. Palm Sunday was the first time Jesus would publicly accept the title of King. However; He wouldn’t live out that role in the long-awaited, religiously-anticipated way. Jesus would be King, but He would be a different kind of King, ushering in an un...

This morning we are privileged to have Dave Hardin open God’s Word to us. Dave is constantly commending books to me that he’s been reading about the Gospel of Jesus. It is a topic he is very passionate about! I’m looking forward to his leadership among us today. Dave will also be leading a team from Riverbluff back into Cuba this week. We will have the privilege of praying over this team in today’...

This morning we continue into our 6-week campaign to CONNECT with the whole message of the Gospel. We are learning to apply the Gospel of Jesus to every area of our lives. We’re learning to “preach the Gospel to ourselves” and to each other so that we’ll be even more effective at sharing the Gospel where we live, work, and play. Today we turn our attention to four simple “Taste-Tests” of the Gospe...

This morning we are going to turn our attention to the sanctifying power of the Gospel. We’re going to explore one life issue today to see how we can practically apply the Gospel’s life-changing power to every area of life. Music courtesy of hooksounds.com

At Riverbluff we believe the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST is the hope of the world and that HIS Church is the instrument through which God has chosen to display and proclaim that GOSPEL. From cover to cover the Bible is about the GOSPEL. Dave Harvey has stated that “Everything in Scripture is either preparation for the Gospel, presentation of the Gospel, or participation in the Gospel.” But what is the...

Today we continue in our CONNECT series, exploring the wonderful book of Ephesians. This morning we explore the incredible beauty of GOD’s desire to rescue everyone. The Bible calls that “Salvation”! This morning we look at what GOD is saving us from, what GOD is saving us to, and what GOD is saving us through. Music courtesy of hooksounds.com

This morning, as we continue our CONNECT series, we turn our attention to the KINGDOM AUTHORITY GOD has granted us now. Today we focus on Ephesians 1:19-23. Music courtesy of hooksounds.com

Today Pastor Curt Bradford will be continuing in our series through Ephesians we’ve entitled CONNECT. Today the biblical focus will be on one of the great prayers the Apostle Paul prayed for the local church there in Ephesus. It is a prayer I have been praying for us since we began this series and today I’m praying many of you will begin praying this prayer for yourself and for one another! Music...

Today we continue our journey in Ephesians exploring God’s will that all who follow His Son Jesus would confidently wear the title of “Saint”! Music courtesy of hooksounds.com

Today we continue in our CONNECT series, exploring the wonderful book of Ephesians. This morning we ask the question “What would my life look like if it had God’s Blessing on it?” We’ll focus our attention on the third verse of the first chapter. There is much good news for us today in that one verse. I’m praying our heart are ready to receive it! Music courtesy of hooksounds.com

This morning we begin a verse-by-verse study of Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus, we’re entitling CONNECT. This letter, written from a Roman prison, is not aimed at correcting an error or heresy like several of Paul’s other letters. Instead, Ephesians connects us to the riches, to the abundance, and the fullness we have “in Christ”. It reveals our inheritance, telling us what we own “in Chri...

Today we join with brothers and sisters all across our country to celebrate the Sanctity of Life. We have rapidly devolved into a society of “Retail Relationships” (ditching relationships requiring sacrifice in pursuit of those more useful than costly). This stands against GOD’s declaration that HE created every human being in HIS image, “in the image of God he created them; male and female he cre...

This morning we take a look at new opportunities and challenges the LORD has clearly spoken to HIS people known as Riverbluff. And this evening we gather to celebrate these opportunities and to “brain-storm” together how we are going to embrace each one! Music courtesy of hooksounds.com
