Litchfield First Baptist Church

True ministry bleeds, builds, and tells the truth. In 2 Corinthians 12:11–21, Paul shows that love, not pride or power, is the heartbeat of Christian service. Learn how love shapes every part of ministry through sacrifice, integrity, edification, and confrontation.

You should want to know how to be useful to Christ. The Apostles Paul certainly wants you to know, but before telling us the answer to being an effective minister of the gospel, he leads us down several dead-end routes. Your effectiveness is not based on: Pedigree Suffering Spiritual Experiences. Your effectiveness for the cause of Christ is based on his grace. Listen along as Pastor Daniel Steeve...

How do we confront foolishness that perverts the gospel without becoming fools ourselves? That's the question 2 Corinthians 11 answers. Listen along as we open the Word together!

It's easy to measure people up, but often we use the wrong system of measurement and get things very wrong. The same is true in the Christian life. What is the standard for evaluating ministers of the gospel? How do we make sure that we get that measurement right? Listen along as Pastor Daniel guides us through 2 Corinthians 10, where Paul answers that question.

In this message, Pastor Stille explains the biblical foundations and practical steps of pastoral ordination. From a clear testimony of salvation and maturity to faithful service, theological training, and the unmistakable call to preach, we'll examine what Scripture requires of those called to ministry and how the church affirms and examines them.

In this service, Pastor Brent Stille explores the biblical foundations and spiritual significance of ordination. Drawing from Scripture, he highlights the call, character, and commitment of those set apart for gospel ministry.

Jesus is your example of humility. Follow him!

God wants to use you for his glory, but you will never serve for God's glory unless you humble yourself and stop seeking your own!

Look at John the Baptist's example in John 3 to see how humility increases our joy!

God has given us an incredible amount of his grace to help us in the journey of growing in humility. Avail yourself of the disciplines of grace!

Pride will destroy your life and keep God's blessing far from you.

God initiates the process of growing in humility, but what role do we play?
