Holy Spirit on SermonAudio

LORD'S DAY 26 OF HOLY BAPTISM Question 70: What is it to be washed with the blood and Spirit of Christ? Answer: It is to receive of God the remission of sins, freely, for the sake of Christ's blood, which He shed for us by His sacrifice upon the cross; and also to be renewed by the Holy Ghost, and sanctified to be members of Christ, that so we may more and more die unto sin, and lead holy and unbl...

Matthew 25:6 "And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him." This sermon examines the state of the visible kingdom of God at the time of Christ's second coming, drawing primarily from the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25. The message highlights that the Bridegroom will find a mixture of sleeping saints and slothful sinners, emphasising the spir...

"Borrowed Bread — We Know a Man Who Can." The message centers on the truth that we know a Man who can—Jesus—and everything we have becomes useful, fruitful, and sufficient when surrendered into His hands. The feeding of the multitude shows that what appears small and ordinary in our hands can become extraordinary when given to Him. The storm reveals His authority over the natural world, and the de...

Acts 2: 40-47

At that very moment, three men stood before the house where I was, having been sent to me from Caesarea. 12 Then the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered the man's house. 13 And he told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, 'Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter, 14 who will...

"How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?" –Psalm 13:1–2 (NKJV)

This episode defines a Christian not by external markers such as doctrine, baptism, or moral behavior, but by the fundamental reality of belonging to Jesus Christ. It argues that true conversion involves the Holy Spirit effectually applying Christ's redemption to spiritually dead sinners, resulting in a new union with Him. The episode emphasizes that salvation is entirely by grace through faith, d...

This discussion explores John Owen's classic commentary on the Epistle to the Hebrews—written during the political and personal turmoil of the 17th-century English Restoration—and uncovers how its severe warning passages serve as a vital blueprint for spiritual endurance rather than a cause for despair. By examining the anatomy of spiritual backsliding through the lens of Psalm 95 and Esau's tragi...

This study examines the sixth trumpet judgment in Revelation, focusing on the release of bound angels and the subsequent destruction that fails upon the ungodly. The discussion highlights the spiritual hardness of heart, illustrating how even catastrophic events cannot compel a response without the work of the Holy Spirit. By connecting this apocalyptic imagery to Jesus' warnings in the Gospels an...

We are to separate from evil but not from one another. Isolationsists are singled out as being a detriment to the unity of Christ's church.

John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:" King James Version

This devotional explores the theological definition of true repentance as the dying of the old nature and the coming to life of the new, grounded in the Heidelberg Catechism. The central message emphasizes that while salvation is entirely God's work, it results in a tangible transformation where believers are no longer enslaved to sin but are empowered to walk in newness of life. Drawing primarily...

The sermon expounds on Ephesians 1:6-7 to demonstrate that human acceptance before God is solely the work of the Triune God, not human effort. It outlines the distinct roles of the Father, who chose believers in eternity; the Son, who accomplished redemption through perfect obedience and atonement; and the Holy Spirit, who applies this salvation through regeneration and the gift of faith. The mess...

This sermon examines Acts chapter 8 to distinguish between genuine conversion and mere religious profession, using the contrasting examples of Saul and Simon the sorcerer. The speaker highlights how Saul's violent persecution of the church demonstrates the depth of human depravity prior to grace, while Simon's attempt to purchase spiritual power reveals the emptiness of a faith that lacks the new...

The study examines the conflict between Old Covenant legalism and New Covenant grace, highlighting Paul's concern for the Galatian believers who were being drawn back into religious regulations. It argues that while the Law served to reveal sin, it cannot produce salvation or spiritual maturity, whereas the Gospel offers freedom through faith in Jesus Christ. The central theological theme is that...

Psalms 51:11 "Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me." King James Version

VaultAI Summary: This sermon explores the call for believers to be wholly consecrated to the fear of the Lord, examining how this devotion manifests in the mind, heart, eyes, and feet. Drawing from Psalm 119, the text argues that true Christianity requires the mind to be renewed by God's teaching, the heart to be inclined toward delight in His commandments rather than covetousness, and the eyes to...
