Exciting and New

Jason and Andy give Dana a week off as they discuss what they were up to these last few weeks.  Runaway Train is coming this Wednesday. Jason, Andy and Dana will discuss a 1986 movie weekly, breaking down all the nonsense there within. The 3 hosts all work together and everyone else around them was getting really annoyed at all the movie talk, so they decided to annoy the world in podcast form. Ch...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana discuss the 1985 comedy Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment.  In this follow up to the hit first movie, Their First Assignment adds more insane characters, like Howawrd Hessemen, Bobcat Goldthwait and Tim Kazurinsky, but doesn't really deliver on more laughs.  At this point, the franchise is still fresh, so they are still tryin...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Caitie back on the show as they discuss the James Bond film "A View to a Kill".  In this one Roger Moore plays the super spy who is WAAAAY past his prime still bedding anyone who is slow enough not to avoid his advances.  Christopher Walken and Grace Jones are high points as the bad guys.  Tanya Roberts is a staggering low p...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Anthony back on the show to discuss the 1985 geriatric sci-fi film Cocoon.  In this one, a bunch of old heads (some younger than one of our hosts) discover the Fountain of Youth in the pool next door.  Oh and aliens while they are at it.  To the surprise of no one, human involvement leads to the loss of both.  It also raises...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Paul and Logan back on to discuss the 1985 adventure film The Goonies.  It took a long time to get everyone together for this one, but it was sure worth the wait.  We dive deep into all the Goon Dock nostalgia of this one, and discuss all the highs (plus a few lows) of this classic.  Andy had famously never seen this one bef...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Stacey and Adrianne back on the podcast to discuss the 1985 comedy Summer Rental.  John Candy takes the family to the beach for the summer, and he pisses Richard Crena off, so now they have to rumble beach-style.  That's right, it's a boat race.  This movie has some promise, but it seems to fall a little flat.   Rip Torn and...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Danny back on the show as they discuss the 1985 comedy/spy movie Gotcha!.   Do you need to put a period after the exclamation point, if the exclamation point is part of the title?  Anyway, Gilbert from Nerds is a college kid on the make in Europe and he hooks up with an American spy with the worst Czech accent on the planet....

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Connor back on the podcast to discuss the 1985 teen drama The Legend of Billie Jean.  That's right, Dana finally gets her wish to do a movie she actually knows and likes.  Helen Slater and Christian Slater (surprisingly no relation) play siblings on the run because FAIR IS FAIR!!  Lisa Simpson tags along and drops an F Bomb,...

Jason, Andy and Dana welcome back Connor to the podcast as they discuss what they were up to this past week.  The Legend of Billie Jean coming this Wedneday. Due to a technical "glitch" the first couple minutes of the mini were lost to the ages.  Remember kids, always charge your batteries.  We join the mini after Jason and Andy discussed Legos for a few minutes. Jason, Andy and Dana will discuss...

This week on the Exciting & New Podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Mike back on the show to discuss the 1985 comedy, National Lampoon's European Vacation.   That's right, we are back on vacation with Griswold’s (or is it Griswald?  Maybe it's Greaseball).  Clark and Ellen drag their kids to the old country where hilarity happens.  And then it doesn't.  There is some gold in this one, but it...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Mike back on the podcast as they discuss the 1985 "teen" comedy Just One of the Guys.  In this gender bending comedy, Terry finds out that only men get the good journalist jobs.  Someday soon, she will find out that she has entered a dead field of study.  Hopefully she finds this out in time to switch her profession.  They s...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana are flying solo (can 3 people fly solo?) as they discuss the 1985 comedy Teen Wolf.  This movie stars Marty McFly, freshly back from 1955, with a strange side effect to time travel.... he is a Teen Wolf.  This movie has the Michael J Fox charm for sure, but there just seems to be something missing.  It might be the supporting cast,...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Dan back on the podcast as they discuss the 1985 comedy Spies Like Us.  As we roll into the Summer of Chase, we get our first look at Prime Chevy along with Cuck Dan.  Honestly how odd is it to cast your wife in a movie you wrote, but have her hooking up with your Co-Star.  Weird, right?  I guess even in the movie world it s...

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Jim back on the podcast as we discuss the 1985 surreal comedy Brazi.  This one was a divisive one (at least from the point of veiw of one person).  A little too Monty Python for some, a little too batshit crazy for others.  Robert DeNiro for some reason shows up.  There's a Hobbit (or is he an Android) and Super Mario shows...
