Young Lion's Perspective

First person to figure out which artist and song I am referring to will get a huge shout out on next week's episode of "Last Week/This Week". Send your answer in a voice message and make your best guess. HINT: This is a much older song than you think. As far as this week's episode of "Last Week/This Week" for Episode 231 of the YLP Podcast, i'm breaking down last week's fallout episode of NXT foll...

Last night, WWE's Extreme Rules: The Horror Show turned out to be exactly what the hell I thought it would be: an absolute failure. But that doesn't mean it didn't have its good moments throughout the night. And in Episode 230 of the YLP Podcast, I get to break down the good, the bad and the ugly that was last night's PPV disaster. If you were expecting that possible 45-minute rant that I said wou...

Extreme Rules is finally here and boy, am I not even excited in the slightest to watch the horror show that it could end up being this Sunday. Nonetheless, we're kicking off the weekend in proper YLP fashion as we always do for Episode 229 of the YLP Podcast! In this episode of the podcast, I present to you my preview and predictions for this Sunday's PPV and do my best to pick who I think will ha...

Keith Lee may be a double champion, but I don't know if it was the best of ideas. For the most part, i'm a bit conflicted as to why they made the decision to give both the NXT & NXT North American Championships to the Limitless One. I discuss that as well as breaking down the rest of what happened during night two of the Great American Bash including my thoughts on the Street Fight between Mia Yim...

Man, is it great to be back after a 10-day summer vacation. And it's time to get back to business and back into the swing of things with Episode 227 of the YLP Podcast! In this episode of the podcast, I figured I would do something a little bit different as I normally do. As much as I wanted to do a proper episode of "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" as I usually would, instead, i'll be discussing th...

I know, I know. It's the last episode before I take my two-week sabbatical from the podcast. But you know damn well i'm going out with a f***ing bang before I head out. And in Episode 226 of the YLP Podcast, it's a brand-new episode of "Last Week/This Week" as I break down last week's episode of NXT involving the huge main event with Keith Lee defending the NXT North American Championship against...

And just like that....POOF. Chikara is no more. You are reading that right, ladies and gentlemen. Mike Quackenbush has shut down operations on Chikara Wrestling and has stepped down as head trainer at the Wrestle Factory amid allegations from the #SpeakingOut movement. But that's not the only story I have on tap for you guys this evening for Episode 225 of the YLP Podcast. I also have updated news...

I told you I was going to bring you a proper episode to make up for not bringing you an episode last night and I promise you I didn't come to disappoint you. I'm talking about news on Tessa Blanchard's firing from Impact Wrestling and being stripped of her world title. I'm talking about WWE and the situation with the coronavirus and the anonymous letter making the rounds about talent frustration w...

Man, did last week's episode of NXT deliver or what? The possibility of a double champion in NXT, two solid tag team title matches, a broken hourglass and Robert Stone puking all over the canvas. Just another day in the life in the land of the black and gold standard as we kick off another episode of Last Week/This Week for Episode 222 of the YLP Podcast! Also in this episode of the podcast, I als...

It's Monday y'all! You know what the hell that means. And even if you don't, i'm going to tell you anyway because I can. It's a non-post PPV Monday and that means it's another installment of "News Of The Weekend" where I talk about all of the news that's fit for me to talk about. On this week's episode, of course, I am discussing all of the fallout that happened over the weekend in regards to the...

If you catch the reference to what song and which artist i'm referring to, a) you know your music and b) you'll probably call me a boomer. All that aside, it's Friday night and that means it's time we kick off the weekend in proper YLP fashion and break down everything that went down this past Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite with another installment of "Light The Fuse"! I start off this week's epi...

Even though their ratings went down last week, I believe that NXT put on a solid show as we begin the build to what I am calling "The Summer Of Gold" because now everybody on the NXT roster is gunning for the current and new champions on the scene. And on Episode 219 of the YLP Podcast, i'm breaking down the highlights, lowlights and everything in-between with another episode of "Last Week/This We...

Backlash has come and gone and that means we get to discuss the good, the bad and the ugly from last night's pay-per-view. All the highlights, the lowlights and every damn thing in-between. And for the first time in a long time, yours truly had to make sure a rant was in play for Episode 218 of the YLP Podcast. Along the way, we'll break down some of the news that came out of the Backlash includin...

My apologies for getting this out later than usual, but if you watched that Daniel Bryan-AJ Styles match for the Intercontinental Championship, you'd stop everything you were doing as well. Anyway, it's Friday and we're kicking off Backlash weekend that best way we know how: with Episode 217 of the YLP Podcast! In this episode of the podcast, i'm breaking down this past Wednesday's episode of AEW...

My apologies for getting this out a day later than usual. But I had some technical difficulties and unfortunately, this will be the only place you will be able to check out this episode on Anchor. Anyway, we still have to talk about what happened "Last Week/This Week" and discuss what happened with the go home show for NXT before NXT TakeOver: In Your House including the NXT Interim Cruiserweight...

It's the day after NXT TakeOver: In Your House and we're ending the first day of the work week in proper fashion as I break down "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" from last night's PPV from the black and gold brand! In Episode 215 of the YLP Podcast, i'm discussing the highlights, the lowlights and everything in-between from last night, as well as handing out awards for the Match of the Night, the Wo...

It's TakeOver Weekend and that means one thing and one thing only: a kick-ass episode of the YLP Podcast to kick it all of in style! In Episode 214 of the podcast, I start the episode by giving you my NXT TakeOver Preview & Predictions and discuss who I think will have their hands raised on Sunday night. We then turn up the heat and "Light The Fuse" as I break down this past Wednesday's episode of...

We were given Matt Riddle's last match in NXT and the women's division giving us substantial growth right before our very eyes. I give an unpopular opinion on the Group A Final in the NXT Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament and we talk about how kick-ass a pit fight can possibly be. All this and more in this week's episode of "Last Week/This Week" for Episode 213 of the YLP Podcast! FOLL...

For me to attempt to do the News of the Weekend would have done what is going on in the world a very hearty disservice. What's happened over the past week has been some of the craziest times we have seen in our nation's history. Riots and looting in major cities, coronavirus pandemic, civil unrest, politics and the fading economy have made this into one hell of a powder keg that the United States...

SmackDown's over. What to do now? Well, if you want to keep party going, I have just the thing for you. How about a breakdown of everything that went down on AEW Dynamite for Episode 211 of the YLP Podcast? In this episode of the podcast, it's all about the fallout episode from last Saturday's Double Or Nothing event. Man, did they show up and show out or what? Talking all the highlights, the lowl...

So, in an effort to experiment and try out new formats and methods to make the show that much better for everyone, I decided to try out a more condensed version of "Last Week/This Week" given the fact that last week's episode of NXT bleeds in to this week's episode of NXT very nicely as we continue to build towards NXT TakeOver: In Your House on June 7th. Of course, i'll be discussing all the high...

Happy Memorial Day! And to celebrate the occasion, what better way to do it than with Episode 209 of the YLP Podcast! In this episode of the podcast, it's all about what happened this past Saturday night at AEW Double Or Nothing. I'm breaking down all the highlights and the lowlights as well as handing out the awards for Best & Worst Match, the Double Or Nothing MVP, and the most important award o...

Memorial Day Weekend has finally arrived here in the YLP Universe! Not only does that mean burgers, brews and good times with friends, it also means that AEW Double or Nothing has made its way back around to entertain us in their second annual MDW PPV. In Episode 208 of the YLP Podcast, it's all about AEW as I open up the show by presenting to you my AEW Double or Nothing Preview and Predictions a...

The title says everything you need to know about the most important thing I will be discussing for Episode 207 of the YLP Podcast! Of course, it's another installment of "Last Week/This Week" as I break down last week's episode of NXT including the NXT Tag Team title match with Matt Riddle & Timothy Thatcher defending the straps against Imperium and the mayhem that ensued throughout the night, my...

It's about that time to kick off the work week in proper fashion with another installment of "News Of The Weekend"! In Episode 206 of the YLP Podcast, i'm discussing all the news that's fit for me to talk about including news on the original plans for Becky Lynch after WrestleMania 36, WCW coordinating the infamous scuffle between Dennis Rodman & Karl Malone before Game 6 of the 1999 NBA Finals, a...
