WORST. COMIC. PODCAST. EVER!

Cullen and Jerry each went to a local comic show this last weekend. In Portland, Cullen went to the Frankenstein Comic Swap in Portland on Saturday afternoon. (He was the Portlander cosplaying as a Frog!) Meanwhile, Jerry ventured into mid-Missouri for the COMO Comic Book Show in Columbia. Then on the way back to Kansas, he made a stop at A to Z Comics in Blue Springs. Friendly reminder that we ha...

As we recorded the episode this week, New York Comic Con was entering its final day, filled with all kinds of big reveals. Most surprising had to have been the sheer number of announcements coming from DC Comics, which in past years has used San Diego Comic Con as their "home" show to share their upcoming projects. In fact, Marvel Comics seemed to be quiet, but Marvel Studios had a lot to share. ...

The next big event from DC Comics is DC KO, which stands for King Omega, even though the battle bracket might suggest Knock Out. Who will advance to the finals? Why are there so few villains involved? And who will make it to the finals? John and Jerry give a wrap-up of their weekend in Oklahoma at OAF Con and Speeding Bullet Comics.  We have our weekly Pick 3 choices, sponsored by our friends at C...

Look Up! We have the start of the all-new, all-different cinematic DC Universe with the release last week of Superman . Did we like the movie? Like you have to ask. At the same time, Cullen helped coordinate ne...

Shortly after we finished last week's podcast, word started circulating about the passing of Jim Shooter , longtime writer and editor with ties to Marvel , DC , Valiant , and Defiant Comics . We had the opportunity to host a panel with him ten years ago, which led to an incredible night at the bar following. Listen to our memories of Jim Shooter, and share your memories with us.  For those in the...

We should have named this episode after the Seinfeld TV show, cause we just made up an entire show out of nothing.  Is Marvel looking to end the Ultimate universe? Only according to one writer of Ultimate X-Men . But seeing how fast he deleted his tweets, the only thing ending may be the writer's tenure at Marvel. Dynamite Comics has found a new home. And where will you be getting your DC Comics i...

More importantly, we want to hear from you about your reading and buying habits.  We have our weekl...

Last week, shortly after we finished recording, word went out on social media that writer Peter David had passed away. David has been part of our collective comic book experience since the 1980s. His impact is tremendous, and his stories continue to amaze us decades later.  Marvel and DC finally announced their new joint project, with Deadpool teaming up with Batman later this year. We share what...
