Verdant Recordings

Sunday Nights around 2009-2015 was about locking in to www.mixomat.org and The Estimulo Show. Long sets with a global roster of deep house heads, listening, track spotting and just an incredible space to exchange notes on what was going down deeply around the world. Ahead of the curve for live streaming, sharing was so much simpler..... just audio and an engaged chat room. Reflecting on the educat...

'Dub Soup' Volume X is a boss set from UK's Paul Mitchell. I am delighted to have this added to the ADS series and it continues the special sounds and vibes of his recent Spring 26 mix that i was smitten with. Paul possesses a developed ear for sweet, richly textured, club friendly deep-dub techno and builds immersive, perfectly constructed sets to fall into. Echinopsis - Nadji Lind Open Cluster -...

February Verdant Session followed a week or so tuning into some heavier deep and acid tinged techno and so by the time this session came around i needed a little adjustment. Out came some deeper house moods but the 303 basslines and grooves were never far from the decks. On the night i had a surprise visitor, Dr Uggs aka Murf Woram, so he gracefully dipped into the bag I had assembled to help me o...

The Cat is out of the bag...... I've been following the Chicago based internet dude Albert Washington and his cat Stinky for some time and their affection for each other is beautiful. https://www.instagram.com/blackbestcatdad/ `As a 'Cat Dad' myself one of their amusing blog posts inspired and helped create this cheeky number. We made this for kicks have no desire to make money for ourselves but a...

This latest project maintains the label's ethos of collaborating with respected & admired producers and based on a personal connection. My bonds with DJs and producers from Glasgow deepened through the Club Sounds Live online community and where I gained a growing appreciation of Adrian [Rennie's] take on deep and dub techno. His unique and cultured sound, aligned with my tastes, is off centre, de...

Another winter warmer but not too hot! I am waiting on a couple of new contributions for the series so dropping in another from Verdant HQ. My first recording of 2026 and it developed into a long languid set of DT centric flavours.... a few oldies and some less obvious tracks. A couple here from the new Alt Dub and VR acolytes! The Philip Priebe LP on Paradise Boogie keeps giving and Andrea Kroner...

August Verdant Session I enjoyed this month so much! Since it was a Friday night, i took the chance to extend the session and cover some different levels and tones of deepness. New music from Ben Kaczor, Na Nich, Mindhelmet, Frank & Tony, Vera Logdanidi, Dorisburg, Thomas + James to listen out for. I also used the set to dig into lush LPs from techno legends recently out on De:Tuned. Vera Logdanid...
