Ahazia reigns in Judah. Athalia reigns in Judah. Joash is crowned king in Judah. Athalia is executed. Joash repairs the Temple. Joash walks away from God later in life. Joash dies. And, the Apostle Paul speaks of spiritual wisdom.

4-134 - 2 Chronicles 19-21 and 1 Corinthians 1 07.07.2025

King Jehoshaphat is rebuked for aligning with Asa. Instead of sulking, he continued establishing others in the fear of the Lord. A war is won in worship, because the battle belonged to God. King Jehoram has intestinal issues. And, Paul writes to the Corinthians.

King Asa consults with the King of Syria instead of seeking the Lord. King Jehoshaphat reigns righteously in Judah. A prophet warns King Ahab to no prevail. And, The Apostle Paul thanks all of his co-laborers in Christ, at Rome.

Civil war ensues and those who call upon the name of the Lord win, against overwhelming odds, twice. Asa responds to prophecy by reaffirming Judah's commitment to God. And, we continue our conversation about limiting our liberties in love.

4-131 - 2 Chronicles 10-12 and Romans 14 02.07.2025

The nation is divided in what seemed like a reaction to King Rehoboam. But, really, was it rather to fulfill the prophecy of Ahijah? Humility helped Judah narrowly escape annihilation. And, we learn that we are free to limit our liberty in love.

4-130 - 2 Chronicles 7-9 and Romans 13 01.07.2025

Solomon dedicates the Temple. God visit's Solomon a second time. The Queen of Sheba visits Solomon the first time. We see Solomon full of wisdom and wealth until the day of his death. And Paul preaches the practicalities of righteousness.

4-129 - 2 Chronicles 4-6 and Romans 12 30.06.2025

The Temple is finished. The furnishings are made. The ark of the covenant is brought into the Temple. Solomon prays before the Lord upon completion just before the dedication. And Romans resumes with the after-effects of imputed righteousness by faith.

4-128 - 2 Chronicles 1-3 and Romans 11 27.06.2025

Solomon is strengthened as the newly crowned king. The Lord was with him and gave him wisdom and knowledge and riches and wealth and honor. Solomon prepares to build and then Solomon actually sets to construct The Temple. And, we see God still has a plan for His people.

4-127 - 1 Chronicles 28-29 and Romans 10 27.06.2025

David commissions Solomon to build the Temple. David gives and the grace of giving becomes contagious, giving to God out of what He had already given to them. Solomon is crowned King. David dies at a good old age. And Israel needs to find the word of faith and call upon the name of the Lord.

In preparation for the time when Solomon will build the Temple, David establishes order in the areas of worship, safety, economy, military and government. And Paul, is heartbroken over Israel's rejection of Jesus as their Messiah.

David does all that he can to set the supplies in place so that Solomon his son can build the Temple. The Levites are prepared to minister to the Lord in the Temple. And, we experience no condemnation all the way to no separation and everything in-between.

David tries to show kindness and his motives are misinterpreted, leading to war. David's mighty men defeat many unusual enemies. Satan inspires David to take a census and the repercussions are disastrous. And, the Apostle Paul cries out for deliverance.

4-123 - 1 Chronicles 16-18 and Romans 6 20.06.2025

The Ark is returned to the Tabernacle. Worship ensues. Thanksgiving songs are sung. David wants to build God a house and God says it's the other way around. So David did what he could. And, we see how in Christ we are dead to sin and alive to Him.

4-122 - 1 Chronicles 13-15 and Romans 5 19.06.2025

David attempts to bring back the ark. Initially unsuccessful, David learns to always inquire of the Lord, especially in the face of the enemy, which led to David being successful the second time. And, Paul teaches us how to have peace with God.

4-121 - 1 Chronicles 10-12 and Romans 4 18.06.2025

Saul and his sons meet their tragic end, as God gives the reasons why HE ended Saul. David is crowned king and conquers Jerusalem. David's mighty men are listed as well as his military. And Abraham is an example of imputed righteousness.

4-120 - 1 Chronicles 7-9 and Romans 3 17.06.2025

Families from long ago. Families of Issachar, Benjamin, Naphtali, Manasseh, Ephraim, Asher and Saul. All Israel was recorded as the remnant returns to rebuild and restore. And, all the unrighteous are invited to receive God's righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ.

4-119 - 1 Chronicles 4-6 and Romans 2 16.06.2025

Families from long ago. Families of Judah, Simeon, Reuben, Gad, Manasseh, Levi and Aaron. And, Paul talks about how the Jews were just as guilty, before a holy God, as the Gentiles were.

4-118 - 1 Chronicles 1-3 and Romans 1 13.06.2025

Families from Adam to Abraham. Families of Ishmael, Keturah, Isaac, Seir, Edom, Israel, Hezron, Jerhmeel, Caleb, David, Solomon and Jeconiah, as Ezra reassures the remnant. And Paul speaks on wrath and righteousness to the Romans.

4-117 - 2 Kings 24-25 and Acts 28 12.06.2025

Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, is sent to take control, leading to taking Judah into captivity. All the while, the last few kings of Judah go from bad to worse, inspiring prophecy and fulfilling prophecy. And, the Apostle Paul ministers on Malta and in Rome.

4-116 - 2 Kings 22-23 and Acts 27 11.06.2025

An eight year old becomes king, a good king. Josiah repairs the temple, recovers the Scriptures, reads the Scriptures, removes all of the idolatry and restores worship. And, the Apostle Paul encounters an intense storm on his way to Rome.

Lies, intimidation, and the enemy, extinguished by the Lord with the truth. Hezekiah pleads for more time. God gives it. But, was that for the best? And, the Apostle Paul gives the gospel to King Agrippa.

Israel is taken captive to Assyria. Assyria resettles the land of Samaria. Hezekiah reigns in Judah. He REMOVES the high places. He receives his first test as king. And, the Apostle Paul appeals to Caesar.

Kings, kings and more kings, evil in the North, partially obedient in the South. Elisha dies. God is full of goodness and severity. And, the Apostle Paul shares the good news with the governor, Felix.

Death and destruction reign during the reign of Jehu. During the reign of Jehu in the North, a seven year old named Jehoash is crowned king in the South. Jehoash walked in the ways of the Lord, mostly. And, the Apostle Paul testifies before the Sanhedrin.

A siege ends. A severe famine ends at one word from the Lord. Lepers give the good news. God's timing is perfect. Hazael hatches an awful plan. Evil kings in the north. Wicked kings in the south. Jezebel dies in Jezreel. And, the Apostle Paul gives his testimony in Jerusalem.
