“THIS Album…” with William Hann

Matthew Crosby is a comedian, writer, podcaster and Radio X DJ. His Sunday morning Radio X show with Ed Gamble has been part of my weekend routine for over 5 years now and I couldn't have been more excited to have him on the show...... until I found out which album we were covering.... We deep dive the bonkers Hyper Pop duo 100 Gecs and their second album, 10,00 Gecs. We also talk about kids tv, r...

Is it Ironic? Do You think? And does it even matter? In today's episode I'm joined by Jess from Wonder 45 and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. I was lucky enough to spend time over Zoom with Jess where we get to deep dive one of the biggest albums of the 90's. However, the technology failed us towards the end, but it actually added a bit of fun chaos to the show. We also touch on Glastonbury, s...

Hold your Ipod mini in the air and light a cigarette indoors, because for episode 4 we are discussing the best thing to come out of East Riding of Yorkshire since Emmerdale and bad weather. It's The Paddingtons! I'm joined by a man that is more then equipped to deep dive the scuzzy icons. Harry is the host of the 22 Grand Pod where he'll discuss all things indie with an array of landfill avoiding...

For episode 3 of "THIS Album..." I am in the hands of a real broadcasting expert. Sophie is the voice of weekend mornings on Radio X and gave me an education on the piano virtuoso and mushroom enthusiast, Tori Amos and her debut album, Little Earthquakes. We discuss Pen Pal boyfriends, miming to No Doubt and attempt to answer the big question "what's so amazing about really deep thoughts."

Welcome to episode 2 of "THIS Album..." Woah, what a mad week it's been! For a couple of days there, little old William Hann was at number 1 in Spotify's Music Podcast chart! Truly mental. Thanks so much for listening, sharing, and for the 5 star reviews (a pox on the houses of the one miserable git that gave a 1 star!) But we're just getting started, on to the next one. Episode 2 we are joined by...

Episode 1, this is it, this is happening! You find us launching the podcast with one of “THE” albums from a niche little upcoming group called The Beatles. Maybe you’ve heard of them? This episodes guest was beyond a delight, he’s a Glastonbury legend that is more than qualified to discuss the Fab Four. Listening back, we sound like we’ve known each other for years, but it’s the first time Chris a...

This is it, this is happening and this is what you can expect from THIS Album....
