The Lost Drive-In

There are bad spaceship crews and then there is the crew of the Maginot . Is it a coincidence that it is named after the failed French defensive line from World War II? I think not! Congrats to Jesse E for winning the Imperator Quarterly! This discussion is about a lot of computer faces hopping around and riding glowing motorcycles. It's a very neon picture, and we ponder the question: does it live up to the original? 28 days begets 28 weeks begets 28 years... and this time it's different! We got zombie dongs, infidelity, dance fighting (I shit you not), and some cool archery. It's time for a little song, a little dance, Batman's head on a lance! Jack Nicholson gorges himself on all the scenery, Michael Keaton gets nuts, and goes full Bettlejuice, and Kim Basinger fights off the creepy Robert Wuhl, and his annoying dialogue. Holy eff'n shit it's a dinosaur and it is going to snatch the evil lawyer type right off the toiler bowl. Oh, I get it, vampirism is a stand-in for racist evil KKK dudes in the South? Not really, but it is an interesting romp into the power of music, and what mystical (and often dangerous) forces you may conjure up with your soulful melodies. After covering the second, and final seasons of Andor, we dive back into Rogue One to see if the context of the show hurts or helps the movie. The shocking discovery (or maybe the reminder) is that Rogue One is way more Jyn Erso's movie than it is Andor's - and that's a huge problem. Episodes 10-12 of Andor Season 2 serve as the intense, emotionally charged series finale, bridging directly into Rogue One: A New Hope. In Episode 10 ("Make It Stop"), Luthen learns devastating intel from Lonni Jung about the Empire’s secret superweapon project (the Death Star), involving Krennic, kyber crystals from Jedha, and Galen Erso; Dedra Meero finally confronts him at his shop, leading to...

Episodes 7-9 of Andor Season 2 form a powerful three-episode arc centered on the Ghorman Massacre and its galaxy-shaking fallout. In Episode 7 ("Messenger"), a recovering Cassian on the growing Yavin IV rebel base receives a mission from Luthen to assassinate Dedra Meero on Ghorman, while tensions simmer between rebel factions and personal relationships strain. Episode 8 ("Who Are You?") delivers...

Episodes 4-6 of Andor Season 2 jump forward one year (to 3 BBY) and center on the escalating crisis on Ghorman, as Luthen sends agents to assess and support a local rebel cell. In Episode 4 ("Ever Been to Ghorman?"), Cassian and Bix adjust to life running missions from a Coruscant safehouse while Bix battles severe PTSD; Wilmon trains with Saw Gerrera, and Cassian heads to Ghorman undercover as fa...

Episodes 1-3 of Andor Season 2 form the gripping three-episode premiere, jumping forward one year (to 4 BBY) and reintroducing key characters across multiple planets as the Rebellion struggles to take shape. In Episode 1 ("One Year Later"), Cassian boldly steals a prototype TIE Avenger from an Imperial facility but crash-lands on a jungle moon (near Yavin 4), where he’s captured by a fractured, st...

This movie really "sticks out" despite the 80s being "full" of fantasy pictures. The music will "throb" in your ears, and you'll have a blast watching David Bowie play with his crystal balls. After talking about this movie for years, but never really giving it a full episode, the gang sits down to watch the Stephen King classic, Thinner! What happens when you plow into a pedestrian with your car while getting head...? Well, you get cursed of course! Who needs a fat shot when you can just run over gypsies? That's basically what the movie is saying...! Links Support Our Work - https://ls...

Imagine a world in which the stories you write are real? Well that seems to be happening to Sutter Cane and fresh off his dinosaur work, Sam Neil (playing John Trent) has to track down the reclusive author to see what's up. It's classic John Carpenter and it's great!

Nothing is more prestigious than the LSG Media Awards show except maybe Adrienne Brody's not douchey at all acceptance speech! Remember: when bad people do bad things it's.... Well, bad!
