The Lore You Know

What time is it? It's Lore Time. Come along with us and learn about the Land of Ooo, a place that is at the same time silly and sad, cartoonish and emotional. There's a stretchy dog. We've got all the Lore you need to get up to speed on the latest Fionna and Cake show, as well as plenty of deep lore to impress your friends, be they candy, fire, or slime based. Mathematical!

If at first you don't succeed, tri, tri again. The gang brushed off their digivices, put on their goggles, and fell back into the world of Digimon Adventure tri. It's just like the old Digimon, except this time everyone is older and now you have a mortgage and a retirement account.

I was researching the Lore, late one night When my eyes beheld an eerie sight It was Sammi and Erik who came to remind There's a music album with a story behind. It was The Monster Mash. What's scarier for the Halloween season than listening to the canon lore of a spooky dance monsters do? Maybe listening to two grown men attempt to do said dance.

The Lore is back and what better way to get up to speed than to talk about the fastest thing alive. Sonic has done a lot of things, some of them canonically. We try to make some sense of what makes this chili dog fueled vermin keep pace with the other mascots.    OCs are mentioned only a few (dozen) times, pls do not steal.

Break out the grease and Nos because it's time for the gang to go faster and with more fury than they have ever gone before. What is family? Who is family? Why is family? These questions and more will not be answered by us, but we will explain why Vin Diesel is so powerful but only while behind the wheel of a car. In the passenger seat this time around is Ethan with Lizzy at the wheel ( https://li...

Erik came in wide-eyed and crazed about a movie that was made from a book that was made about the lyrics of a song. Naturally, we had to explore this holiday themed world where the season is less than festive and the lessons learned are...up to interpretation. At the very least we keep the Christ in Christmas Shoes. On this episode are cohosts Erik and Lizzy ( https://lizardxlizard.carrd.co/ )

CJ is sick, Fran is sick, let's play games. Defying gravity? More like defying canon am I right? This week the gang dives into the deep lore The Wizard of Oz, but the original stuff so you won't even be able to impress your friends with cool Wicked lore. Unless your friends would be more impressed with lore from a hundred year old book in which case your friends will probably like the podcast too....

The finale is finally here, the final say on the finish of feltish tale. All the strings are finally coming together, the weave completed (except that the Netflix series was cancelled). Complete your knowledge of the Dark Crystal as we bid our special guest goodbye, for now.   Thanks again for Sammi and Erik's research and of course Lizzy for cohosting ( https://lizardxlizard.carrd.co/ ).

A new age dawns, and by that we mean we have another episode of dark fantasy puppets for you. The stakes are being raised, these little guys are facing horrors beyond their fuzzy minds. Perhaps if they can navigate this Labyrinth of alliances and enemies they can come out on top, or at least stay above ground. Who knows how it's going to turn out (we do). Friends Sammi and Erik return for the jour...

Halloween and is here and we are bringing the fall vibes with this classic dark fantasy starring puppets and only puppets. Learn everything there is to know about the world of the Dark Crystal. Who put the big bird men in charge? Why do they keep talking about needing to "defend" from "attackers?" Does an ancient spiritual mother-being make babies the old fashioned way? We will find out all of thi...

*Content Warning* Themes of self harm and sexual abuse. We bring you tales from the Quiet Mounds. Are we being haunted by ghosts, or is it all just politics? Either way the natives tried to warn us and we didn't listen so now we bring you the very timely horror classic. Press left and right to rotate as we take on another staple of the horror game series to discover, what is Silent Hill (it's a to...

*Content Warning* Themes of sexual assault and abuse. We're back just in time for the spooky season and we have a big one. Ever wonder what that little dancing chest-burster in Space Balls is a reference to? Isn't it curious how everyone says "Game Over Man, Game Over?" Why is the bad guy in Metroid named that? All of these easily answered questions are explored like an abandoned alien ship filled...

The girls are back in town and that town is Forks and how can they still possibly be talking about sparkling vampires? Well it has something to do with hunky werewolves and unholy cabals. It's hard to tell for sure, I got really distracted at the parts where they were talking about falling in love with babies. I'm sure it all makes sense in the end though. Of course check out our guest host Lizard...

It's Galentine's day, and what better way to celebrate than to bring in the ladies to talk about everyone's favorite brooding vampire couple. No, not Angel and Buffy the other one. The coven of Lizzy, Sammi, Sayali, and Fran chronicle what happens when a Mormon invents vampire lore that inadvertently changes the landscape of literature for all time. Hang in there as the girls TwiHard not to cringe...

This is a big one folks, so remember your training because we are going to sync some levels with you. What happens when you mix the Bible with anime? No, not the manga version of the Bible, though we are not too far off. Loremaster Mischka has descended from his high place of existence to deliver unto us that forbidden fruit of knowledge. Be warned, for the price of knowledge (lore about giant rob...

Listen you're gonna want to get in on the ground floor on this one. It's a sure shot, we bought a bunch of little plastic men and then we glued them together and painted them. We bought a lot of them. Then we do a podcast about the lore of the little world these little men live in, get all invested and such. Easy right? Now you buy these little men from us and as a bonus you can sell the little me...

We found this weird DVD stashed in the back of our dad's old El Camino, and unlike everything else we find back there this is something we can show you. Join us now as we travel to a world that only a bunch of 80's Canadians could dream up as we guide you through the weird and totally cohesive world of the cult rock musical Rock & Rule. Does it have an actual script? No, but neither do we so w...

If we all could afford to make a movie about our favorite OC then the world would be a better place. In the real world only Vin Diesel gets to take a stab at it. We are covering the Riddickulous series that spans one of the worst movies to one of the best video games.   Goggle up and get ready to outrun the sun cause we have a need for heehees.

Long live the King, a literal titan of media that has been stomping around for a lifetime is bound to have some missteps. The problem is when you are as big as a building, a misstep destroys an office building. Generally, if your monster movie is boring then something has gone wrong. We smash our way through the long line of successors to the most iconic Kaiju there ever was — the Good, the Bad, a...

We are just trying to Kombat our own Mortality, but now we had to dig in to this mess of a series. Usually reboots are supposed to make the lore simple, but they forgot to get rid of the old stuff and now we need to go 3 full rounds of punishing story. The Moral of this Kontent is never dive too deep into fighting game lore.   LizardxLizard once again guest hosts, check out her stuff here: https:/...

It's time to finish the fight...I mean rip and tear until it is done. There's a lot of unanswered questions, and we were OK with that, but they decided to answer those questions anyway. Our final dive into the lore of the latest DOOM installments is a road to madness, but fortunately special guest Colin stays long enough to be our shining knight against the horde of silly fantasy names.

Hello listener, you've never appreciated having a silent 2 hours during a spooky Halloween night. In this Halloween Special episode you will find guest hosts Sammi and Erik who have devised a way to convey the Saw lore into one handy episode. You must decide if this lore makes sense or if it is goofy silly time. Choose wisely, for if you answer incorrectly we will release all the spiders that we h...

One of the most iconic video game series to have ever existed began with just some random guy in a green suit killing waves of enemies with laser guns. And before Halo there was DOOM. In this one, the gang recruits the help of Colin, Loremaster of angels and demons, to cover the full DOOM story from early days with the Doomguy to being played in a movie by...*checks notes* Judge Dredd from the 201...

We are getting some spooky season appropriate episodes ready, so in the mean time enjoy the scariest thing we could think of, UNRELEASED CONTENT. But in all honesty we have some funny goofs and gaffs that we didn't really have any use for, but now we have finally have a full episode's worth. Enjoy some outtakes, bonus lore, and silly non sequiturs. Starring some lovely clips by none other than the...

There can be only 5 movies, two animated series, a live action TV series, several graphic novels, and an upcoming reboot. Learn the essentials of the saga everyone knows a little bit about but no one knows all of, as that knowledge is The Prize. There's only so much we can do in 2 hours but we can Quicken your knowledge of everyone's favorite Scotsman(?) and Spaniard(?).   Sean Connery resurrects...
