The LAMBcast

Top Gun: Maverick should've been landing in our cinemas around about now, but at present it's changed course for a December arrival, but for all we know it could be circling overhead for even longer at the rate things are going. There are, however, plenty of films still out there in the world, one of which is the original Top Gun, directed by Tony Scott, so we're here today for a Tony Scott retros...

In the non-Darkest Timeline version of the world, this show would be about Pixar's latest, Soul, which may well be the greatest film they've made, we just don't know as it isn't out yet. What we do know, though, is the greatest movie that Pixar has released, and we're here today to tell it to you. Jay and Richard were joined by David, Thomas and Doug to quickly, then gradually, then suddenly very...

We're back with Bond! Jay, his dogs and Richard were joined by Simon, Meg, Nick and Jeanette to discuss the next four movies in the James Bond franchise, all of which star Pierce Brosnan amidst a cornucopia of villains and allies, improbable gadgets and ridiculous cars. 00:00 Introductions 03:36 Simon ranks the Bonds 05:29 Meg ranks the Bonds 07:23 Brosnan as Bond 20:45 The Women 39:42 The Allies...

The name's four, part four, of the Lambcast's coverage of the James Bond franchise; licence to discuss the Bond movies four films at a time. This time Jay and Richard were joined by three more Bond fans, all of different Lambcast guest calibre. Todd is a regular, familiar to all. Darren is a newcomer experiencing not just his first Lambcast but his first podcasting mission ever. And Fogs, well Fog...

No Time To Die? More importantly, do you have time to listen? It's the third instalment in the Lambcast's James Bond Franchise lookback! That's right, Jay and Richard are back, and this time are joined by Aaron, Rebecca and newcomer Terry to discuss four Roger Moore movies for your ears only. The Man With The Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker and For Your Eyes Only were all put under Q's...

James Bond is back, and so are we to talk about him and his next batch of exploits. Richard and Jay are joined by Jeanette, Heather and Sean to discuss four movies, three Bonds, three Blofelds one incredibly realistic compressed gas cannister and our most divisive Bond yet, plus breakfast "sausage" and running with geese! 4:47 Sean ranks the Jurassic Park franchise 7:16 Our histories with Bond 17:...

The name's cast, Lambcast, licence to discuss movie franchises. We're taking inspiration from ourselves, namely how we split up the Harry Potter franchise last year, and chopping up the James Bond movies into six chunks, which we'll hit at a leisurely pace over the next year. We're kicking things off with, somewhat predictably, the first four films: Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger and Th...

It's a podcast, what harm even came from listening to a podcast? It's Mother Day's in the UK this Sunday, and today is International Woman's Day, so what better time to discuss 1999's The Mummy? Jay was joined by Audrey Fox, Kristen Lopez, Zoe Rose Smith and Richard Kirkham to talk about the Stephen Sommers' action-horror reboot in all it's tomb-raiding, flesh-eating, fez-wearing glory. Also on ta...

[EDIT: There was a problem with the audio for the Remake-A-Palooza section, this version has fixed that.] So apparently the LAMB celebrated it's 10th birthday a few weeks ago (October 31st to be exact) but what with all the hubbub around other areas of life it somehow got forgotten. Worry not dear flock, for though it was not technically intended for that celebration we have decided to mark the oc...
