The word SIN doesn't mean the same thing everywhere in scripture. You must be careful when you read English scripture, because they don't mean the same thing in Hebrew or Greek. SIN can be divided into two: (1) Hamartia (sin as nature) and Hamartano (sin as actions). In most cases, this condition of conscience exists primarily in the believer, however, it may also exist to some extent in the unsaved individuals who choose to live a life of forgiveness. A conscience is considered godly or healthy, when it is described as: Good conscience, Purged conscience, Pure conscience, Perfect conscience, Convicted conscience, and Conscience void of offence.

Every man owns a conscience, even though the condition of that conscience will vary widely from person to person, saved to unsaved, nation to nation and generation to generation. A conscience is considered ungodly when it is described as: conscience affected by dead religious work, weak conscience, wounded conscience, defiled conscience, evil conscience, and seared conscience.

There are three vital elements concealed in the spirit of man: conscience, perception and compassion. There are two kinds of overcomers in the world or in the kingdom of God: overcomers by faith and overcomers by works. However, the dream of God for the believer is to become overcomers by works. One is born again because he believes in his heart and confesses with his mouth that Jesus resurrected from DEATH. The death of Jesus doesn't get anyone born again. The cross was merely a means to an end, it was not the end itself. Jesus did not only die, but he also resurrected, begetting the new man. Therefore, Joint resurrection with Jesus is what gets a person born again in Christ.

It must be understood that the death of Jesus Christ has never and will never get anybody born again. If you believe that you are born again because Jesus Christ died for your sins, you are sadly mistaken and not born again.

Poreumai denotes a traverse with a profoundly negative connotation. It speaks of a departure from life to death. Poreumai is the walk of a backslider or one on the road of apostasy.

Orthopodeo denotes an upright walk or measuring up to the established standard. In Orthopodeo, you become the reference point; the ultimate of everything that everybody would want to measure up to and attain.

Emperipateo walk means to be occupied among persons, to perambulate in a place or to conduct oneself. Where the proof of God becomes your natural estate, so when you speak, it is the unleashing of divine power and creative force from within. Stoicheo walk means to match in military rank; to arrange in a regular line or to conform to virtue and piety. Stoicheo is the introduction to the rules and regulations of the Spirit. The point in your life where whatever you do is governed and regulated by the Holy Spirit, he decides for you.

In peripateo walk, the believer is to show proof of his or her divinity and ability after the Godly sort. So, you express the divine life of God deposited in your spirit: power, authority and dominion. Peripateo is the walk of faith.

The overcomer is the ultimate desire and dream of God for every believer. However, we must press on towards becoming overcomers by works. Many believers live in the Spirit but only a few walk in the Spirit.
