We are happy to present to you the summary of 2020 in Reggae! Just like in Dancehall, there was a lot happening and lots of it was really good! The last year was also very interesting when it comes to the culture music but for different reasons than in the case of Dancehall - not only we got lots of good releases from the young rising stars, but we witnessed (or actually heard) a number of great r...

2020 was a terrible year beyond any doubt. Music business was one of the areas that suffer the most from the pandemic - there were no live shows, no parties and, thus, much less money running. But was it a bad year musically? One thing that can surely be said is that many new trends have become more visible due to the changes of the reality. Most notably, it looks like such a very Jamaican thing l...

Look what this Covid thing has done to us! We've just released Love is Contagious #2 and Soca Dimensions and we're ready to present yet another mixtape for your listening pleasure. This time it's not about one genre only, more of a freestyle (100% live mix) on what Matys has been listening to in 2020. But no worries, there are a lot of Jamaican-inspired sounds here too! And luckily, apart from all...

Soca Dimensions #1 is the first Soca mixtape in Poland since 2004 when Dreadsquad released their "WySOCA Temperatura" mixtape. Until Zilla joined Splendid, we weren't really into anything but Reggae and Dancehall from the Caribbean overlooking everything else that was released there. However, for the last 2 years we've been featuring more and more Soca in our sets promoting it locally. In the mean...

So no long talking as there's a lot to listen to. Press play and run Love is Contaigous #2, prepare some good food for the dinner and... have a nice ti...

"Love is Contagious" is our response to the isolation we are going through at the moment. On one hand, we had to find occupation for oursleves in the times of no live shows; on the other hand, we didn't want to go live from our living rooms every couple of days to play random selection.
