I have had times when God has answered my prayers, and it is such a wonderful feeling, but then there are times when his answer is no, not this way. We can't deny that God's grace is gifted to us all, we only need to receive it. However, when we receive God's gift, by FAITH, we make Him Lord of our life, and therefore, we should begin to grow in obedience to His Word. It is FAITH that is our roots, and as we abide in Christ (the vine), we will spring forth with fruits that will point the world toward Him.

James gives us great wisdom on how to use our words. We should be always listening out, hearing what people and the situations and what God is saying to us. We need to be slow to speak and be careful of how we respond. You can improve the words that come out of your mouth by continuing to fill up your heart with the Word of God!

Your status in life does not matter in terms of your relationship with God. Is our focus on the things of life that will fade and pass away? When our lives are over, do we have an eternal relationship with God, or just a lifetime of working for something we could never really reach?

Do you feel that you are sometimes stuck with a decision that you are not sure if you are doing the right thing? Did you pray for wisdom? Walking in the faith is asking God for wisdom when we need it and then not wavering or hesitating, but trusting, wholly focused on receiving wisdom from God. I hope this encourages you today.

What does it mean to consider it joyful in your trials? It means that you show off your hope and faith in the Jesus that is your anchor that holds your boat steady in the storms of life. Be encouraged today!
