SlothBoogie Podcast

For the last few years Joseph Ashworth has been crafting a unique sound within the realms of house and techno which has seen him release tracks on a few of our favourite labels. Life & Death, Disco Halal, Pets and Needwant to name just a handful! Joseph produces a sound that captures the gritty honesty of techno, but with an experimental and melodic edge that you can't help but get swept up by on...

We first had the pleasure of sharing an evening listening to S3A at the Hallo Montag closing party back in 2018... and to be honest, he stole the show. We've since enjoyed premiering a host of his tracks, and that signature sampled house sound. Although he discovered electronic music in 92 through UK hardcore with DJ as Tanith or Producer, his culture is based on a solid knowledge of house music,...

We're going from strength to strength with the mix series this year, and this week is no different. The word legend is often bandied about, recklessly and with scant regard for its true meaning... but I shit you not, in the hot seat this week we have a bonafide L.E.G.E.N.D in the form of Jovonn. A native of Brooklyn and current resident of Queens (New York), Jovonn has been active in the music sce...

The next instalment in the SlothBoogie Radioshow comes from altitude... 14 floors up in East London to be precise. Locked in with records locked and loaded from Ken this week... although having just moved home, he's been unable to locate the mic. This is either a blessing or a curse. Tracklist: Donald Dust - Haus Shannon (Real Love Video Games) [Blaq Numbers] Demuja - Between Us [Muja Records] Fir...

Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and label-owner... and good pal. JKriv has been on our radar for a number of years, if not decades. Whether it be for strutting with the bass as part of his band, Escort. Or unearthing gems on the label Deep n Disco... and more recently on his imprint Razor n Tape, Jason has an ear for a groove. It was only a matter of time then befor...

Addi Thor Ingvasen, otherwise known as Intr0beatz, first came to our attention last year when we ran a couple of premieres for the talented Icelandic house head. Needless to say they were tasty. We then had the pleasure of partying the day away at the famous Wintergarten in Berlin's best outdoor club, Sisyphos. So after a few beers, it felt only natural to invite him to unfurl 62min of quality mus...

The artist formerly known as Loz Goddard has trimmed his name to just Goddard and with this new slimline profile comes a fresh new release in the shape of his 'Signals' EP, which is out now on top label Apparel Music. With ace releases already bagged on labels like Church and Tusk Wax, we're pretty confident you'll already be up to speed on how good Goddard's music is. The busy man also presents a...
