Serving Jesus Christ

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Best Trade Let me start with a question. Suppose you sat down at the kitchen table tonight and drew two columns on a sheet of paper. One says "gain." The other says "loss." What would you put where? Your job? Your savings? Your good name? Your good works? Your years of church attendance? Here's the thing. The Apostle Paul did that very exercise. He sat d...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Math of Grace Today we're opening up Matthew chapter 20, verses 1 through 16 - the parable of the workers in the vineyard. Jesus tells a story about a landowner who hires workers throughout the day, some at dawn, some just an hour before quitting time. And then, at the end of the day, he pays every single one of them the exact same wage. The guys who wor...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Practical Holiness Today we're talking about a word that makes a lot of us squirm a little: holiness. Maybe it sounds like something for monks, or missionaries, or people a whole lot more spiritual than you and me. But that's not what the Bible means by it. Peter, writing to ordinary Christians scattered across the ancient world, tells them plainly: "You sha...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: What Is Sin? Last week, I shared on the Holiness of God. When we truly see God as holy, three things happen. It humbles us. It cleanses us. And it sends us. The holiness of God is not a threat to be feared from a distance. It is a reality that, when truly seen, humbles us, cleanses us, and sends us out to serve Him. Today we're tackling a subject that, hones...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Holiness of God! Today we're wading into deep water. We're talking about the holiness of God. Now, I know that phrase can sound like something out of a dusty old textbook. Honestly, it might make you want to change the channel. But stay with me, because this is not a topic for theologians locked away in libraries. This is a topic for farmers and nurses a...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Buried To Live! Today's message is a special one. We had a baptism this morning at Our Savior's, and honestly, there is nothing quite like watching God claim a life right in front of your eyes. So I want to take this episode to walk through what baptism actually means, straight from God's Word, in Romans chapter 6, verses 1 through 5. Here's the thing. A lot...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Where Were You? Today we're opening up one of the toughest, most honest books in the whole Bible — the book of Job. And we're landing right in the middle of the storm, in Job chapter 38, where God finally speaks after Job has waited, and waited, and waited for an answer to one question: why? Here's the thing. God never actually answers that question. Not dir...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: More Than Enough Today we're stepping into one of the most familiar stories in all four Gospels — the day Jesus fed five thousand men, plus women and children, with a boy's sack lunch. We'll look at Matthew 14:13-21, and I want to tell you up front: this isn't just a story about a miracle. It's a story about what Jesus does with people who feel like they don...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: The Rope Between Us Let me ask you something before we start. Have you ever wondered if you could mess things up so badly that God would finally let you go? Honestly, most of us have wondered that at some point. Maybe it was after a failure you couldn't take back. Maybe it was in a season of doubt that lasted longer than you wanted to admit. You know what? T...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Two Kinds Of Seed Last week, we sat together in Matthew chapter thirteen and looked at the Parable of the Sower, the story Jesus told about a farmer scattering seed on four different kinds of soil. Today, we're staying right there in Matthew thirteen, but we're moving on to another parable. And this time, we get something special. We get to listen in as Jesu...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: What Kind Of Ground Are You? Today's message actually starts in a field. So if you've ever planted a garden, or watched a farmer work a field, or even just tried to grow one stubborn tomato plant on your back porch, this one's for you. Today we're opening up to Matthew 13:18-23. This is Jesus explaining His own parable — the Parable of the Sower. Now, here's...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Rest For Your Soul! Today's message is called "Rest for Your Soul," and it comes from one of the most beloved passages in all of the New Testament — Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus looks out at a crowd of people who are worn out, beaten down, and carrying loads they were never meant to carry alone, and He says something that stops everyone in their tracks: "Come to...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: NOT PEACE, BUT A SWORD! Today we are preaching from Matthew chapter ten, verses thirty-four through forty-two. And honestly? This is one of those passages that might make you sit up straight in your chair. Jesus says something that sounds shocking at first: He did not come to bring peace but a sword. He talks about division in families. He talks about crosse...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Who Does He Think He's Eating With? Today's message comes from Matthew chapter 9, verses 9 through 13. The title is "Who Does He Think He's Eating With?" — and honestly, that is the question that hangs in the air the moment Jesus sits down at a dinner table with a tax collector and a bunch of sinners. The religious leaders were scandalized. The neighbors wer...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Waiting On God With Whole Heart! Today's message comes from one of the most beloved poems ever written — Psalm 8. And I want you to hold on to that word: poem. Because that's what this is. King David didn't sit down with a theology textbook when he wrote Psalm 8. He stepped outside under the vast, star-splashed sky of the ancient Near East, and something dee...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Waiting On God With Whole Heart! Today we're opening up Psalm 25, and I want to tell you right up front — this is one of those passages that feels like it was written yesterday. David wrote this psalm at a time when he was surrounded by enemies, weighed down by his own sin, and genuinely unsure which way to turn. And yet, instead of running away from God, he...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Trust God! Today's message comes from 1 Peter 5:6–11, and we're calling it "Humble Yourself, Stand Firm, Trust God: Living in the Grip of God's Grace." This passage was written by the apostle Peter to Christians who were scattered across the ancient world, facing real suffering, real pressure, and real fear. And honestly, Peter's words feel like they were wr...

Everywhere you turn, someone is telling you what to believe, how to live, what matters most. Some voices are loud. Some are persuasive. Some even sound spiritual. But here's the question we need to ask— which voice can you trust? Today we're going to look at John 10:1-10, where J...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Cut To The Heart! Today we are looking at Acts 2:36–41. This is one of the most powerful moments in the entire New Testament. Peter is preaching at Pentecost. The Holy Spirit has come. And now something incredible happens—the people listening are cut to the heart . Let me say that again, because it matters: they are cut to the heart. And here's the thing—thi...

This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:  From Doubt To Faith! Today we are stepping into one of the most personal and relatable passages in all of Scripture—John 20:24–31.
