Robot Heart

Watch the film on Robot Heart YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCDun7jhQwE For pretty much the whole year I’m either headed towards or away from Burning Man. Each year out there there’s this moment in space and time where I feel perfectly balanced between the two. It’s a moment where time stands still, just for a second. That moment is when the first ember of the day’s sun peaks over the m...

This sunset set wasn’t just a performance; it was a reflection of the deep bond we’ve built through music. Music has always been the heart of our connection, and sharing this journey with suc...

Mark Slee AVfib Live Film on Robot Heart YouTube - https://youtu.be/78fKtE8yZAQ?si=Zl0kY_7tVZA1cvLE It was an absolute treat to perform this set at the Robot Heart residency. A fantastic space with excellent sound, closely situated to Burning Man's physical roots, celebrating a broad creative spectrum of music, lighting, and physical installation art — what's not to love? It was the perfect settin...

“Greetings friends. Im very happy to recieve the amazing Robot Heart family’s choice to release my set from the burn last year. After a wild and wonderful week for dust & mud, This impromptu evening on the bus was stitched together quite suddenly by our dear Robots, who assembled all the loons left behind from the fleeing masses on Monday night. This may have been one of the best nights in terms o...

Hello everyone, last year, as Christina and I made our first journey to Burning Man, excitement would be understated with plans to deliver an electrifying set at the iconic Robot Heart Bus after Lee Burridge. However, nature had other plans — unprecedented heavy rains and flooding at the event meant that, unfortunately, my performance could not go ahead. On my recent US tour, our ever-supportive f...

I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. The wait time is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the play...

We extend heartfelt gratitude to the Robot Heart crew for inviting us to be part of the Robot Heart Residency event series. Being part of this experience was truly amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing a musical journey encompassing the tracks we cherish and have played throughout our careers. It was a privilege to witness the vibrant and loving community you've fostered. Thank you for the honor....

This was my second time playing at Robot Heart and it was just such an incredible experience, from the first second after pressing play, the energy in that audio system, the art of the bus, the love of the people who bring it to the playa and the energy of the crowd of burners who stayed til the end through the rain... all of it created this explosion in my heart, that propelled me into this dual...

My affection for Robot Heart is well-known, tracing back to my first encounter with it in the desert sands in 2008. Over the years, my musical journey has been deeply influenced and shaped by its presence. Having the opportunity to partake in Robot Heart's Residency in Oakland, California, was a true delight. The four-hour set I performed stands out as one of my favorites in recent memory, largely...

I had a magic time at Oakland for the Robot Heart Residency, the time have spent there just gave me so much good energy and I have met many interesting people along the way. My set was a mystic moment during those days, it seemed like time had stopped during those hours during before and after my set. I want to thank the Robot Heart Family for having me once again and making this adventure happen...

Jay Tripwire On the first night of my first burn this past year, I found myself in the (apparently quite rare) position of playing my first ever DJ set at Burning Man on the fabled @robotheartfoundation bus. It wasn’t until I arrived at the RH bus after completing my first deep playa bike ride that I was acutely aware of the true nature of this rolling musical monolith. The bus is a mobile sound s...

We've been playing for the crew at Robot Heart for close to a decade now and each experience we've had is always so memorable, mostly because of the love and appreciation we feel from the whole crew and their impeccable attention to detail, allowing us to do what we do best, play records. When we were invited for the inaugural season of events in Oakland, we were deeply honored. We hope you all en...

Over a decade ago I had the pleasure of playing at Black Rock City on top of Robot Heart’s bus, a lovely memory that was thankfully recorded in ways to keep the flame alive until December 2023 when stars aligned and let that same pleasure, yet again, get us together, this time at the end of a month long residency in San Francisco. Burning Man is known for its unpredictability, and this year's experience was no exception. Dust turned into mud and transformed the smallest trips outside into adventurous hikes just to get to the washroom. After being basically locked in the RV for three days and facing the prospect of a long and arduous journey back to Berlin, the news that 'The Man‘ is still going to burn came as a small redem...

Beyond the incredible venue, production, and beautiful collection of humans, there were three things that made set this extra special for me: opening the room to an empty dance floor, having the DJ booth in the center of the room, and playing the most original music I’ve played in a set. I rarely get to build a room from zero anymore, so I took great pleasure in playing records early on that are s...

Friday’s sunrise with Robot Heart, right before the storm. 🙏🏻❤️ Full of love, resilience, and profound synchronicities, I’m so grateful for this magical moment together. We all rolled out with the RH bus around 5:30am as the wind was picking up. During the ride out to the deep playa I played sections of Lucid Waves with the heartbeat in the music pulsing with the RH heart. Once Benji and Justin...

Robot Heart was certainly one of our biggest dreams, and we are thrilled that it came true. It was definitely a surprise to find a sandstorm upon arriving at the art car, but that's what makes Burning Man special. Thank you for dancing and spreading love and positivity throughout the playa. Rebolledo and I have some unforgettable moments playing together on the playa through the past 10 years and every time it was an unpredictable journey through totally different musical dimensions. This b2b set on the Robot Heart is no exception. We traveled in time exploring different corners of dance music and I love how musically raw and diverse the set was. Definitely a lot of fun DJ Tennis htt...

This recording was captured on a serene Wednesday night. Enchanting spirits gliding through the playa on bicycles and art cars, faithfully tracing the path of the bus until the final note, where we paused in the heart of the deep playa. The emotional and spiritual odysseys we undertook this year shall serve as a wellspring of inspiration for the rest of our lives. May love and light forever guide...

It was one for the books! Flooded with up’s and downs. This was the oldest man in the history of Burning Man I believe; with extra days on the Playa we all got a little wiser. It was wonderful to see people come together and weather the storms. Big thanks to my Robot Heart camp for making this after the rain party happen. Much love to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. This set is dedicat...

Robot Heart has been inspiring me for years. It's a place where one can speak truly as an artist, providing a platform to create transformative moments in time. The month before Burning Man I was incredibly inspired to create special new tracks and edits for that Robot Heart morning. Half of them didn’t even make it into the set as I prefer to follow my feelings and instincts at the moment. Robot...

Burning Man 2023 has been a real wild journey!
