Purrcast

This has been Purrcast number 29 featuring Fatty. Back when Purrcast first started Creative Commons was starting to become popular and it was pretty standard to announce your license type in the podcast. Creative Commons Attribution Noncommercial Share Alike 3.0 Unported Licence or even CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 US was a handful to say each week. Purrcast is […]

This has been purrcast number twenty six, a mini episode featuring the outsized kitten purrs of rupert. Rupert was a purrcast foster from the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter BARCS that has found his furever home with a friend of ours. Recording kittens is difficult, not because they aren’t full of purr but because […]

Purrcast 25 featuring Momcat Lady Jean Grey Kranz. Momcat is very vocal with chirps and growls, today she sat down for a few moments to show her tender side with a few minutes of purring. She does tricks which you can see on our patreon page patreon.com/purrcast. Thank you for listening to purrcast.

This has been purrcast number 24 showcasing the purring of Pig. Purrcast would like to say hi to some friends. First up is the Amazing Acro-Cats, the trained cat show and rock band. Purrcast human producer Justin did sound for them in Baltimore and introduced to the high reward @tunathecat to specialty cooked chicken livers […]

This is Fatty’s morning feed me breakfast purr. The latest school of thought is that there is no canonical lexicon of cat meows, every cat has their own language with their owner that they both made up. It’s like a mutual training or an idioglossia, the language made up by twins. Fatty’s brother spoke with […]

Another episode where in addition to catsitting I record Carrietta for your enjoyment. Purrcast is supported with donations through patreon.com. Check there and our YouTube channel for additional content. If you want to see our cats do a trick just for you then our patreon page has you covered. Thank you for listening.

This is the first audio feature with Momcat Lady Jean Grey Kranz. She came to purrcast with kittens as a foster named Marine which was shortened to just Momcat. Her kittens were easily adopted. We kept her for a little while longer to try and socialize her because we feared her very vocal growling and […]

This is a special edition of Purrcast. Fatty back in February was diagnosed with a reoccurrence of Feline Vaccine Associated Sarcoma (an aggressive, cancerous tumor) 2 years after having surgically remove the tumor. With gofundme and your help we easily raised money for a second surgery to amputate the affected leg to prevent the tumor […]

Cappy and @alyssumpohl are big fans of Purrcast, especially Fatty so I set out to record Fatty for this weeks episode. Wilma and Fatty were snuggling together (they are poor weather friends who use each other for heat) so I pulled out a second microphone and went for a twofer. If you listen carefully Pig […]

Purrcast Episode 18 starring Wilma. Purrcast made our first Patreon Milestone goal of $15 per Podcast! The aim of the goal was to donate 1/3 of the money raised after basic production costs are met. To celebrate reaching this goal so quickly we are donating all the January pledges to Underground Railroad Rescued Kitty Network. […]

Purrcast Episode 17 ft Pig. Listening studiously to so many different cats purring you begin to develop an ear for different purring qualities. Having found Pig on the street as a kitten he always has had stuffy sinuses. You can really hear every breath through his nose, sometimes giving a little whistle. One of the […]

Purrcast Episode 16 featuring Wilma. Wilma has the nickname of Wee-Ma even though she is neither. If you enjoy Purrcast and want to help you can donate to us through http://patreon.com/purrcast. This recording is from our foster cat Twinkle’s first night with us. She was a street cat that has a rakish clipped ear from a tag and release program. She had a bad case of mites which had spread to the rest of her head which was scabby and awful looking. As you can hear […]

Purrcast 14 featuring special guest purrformer Carrietta. I am cat sitting Carrietta this weekend for my friend and Fluid Movement  summer 2014 production: “Jeff Goldblum the Water Ballet” co producer Barbara Wilgus. The featured music for this episode I recorded on instruments found in her living room with my phone. Purrcast now has a Patreon page at http://www.patreon.com/purrcast . […]

Purrcast 13 with Fatty was hiding in the toe of the stocking.

Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

This is the contented nursing purr from our newest foster cat Ollie Mollie and some smackey sounds from her kittens. Sadly, Ollie Mollie was sick through her pregnancy and the kittens failed to thrive and didn’t make it. We are very sad and want to honor them with the relaunch of the podcast. Olly Molly is recuperating […]
