Purple Mafia -Minnesota Vikings Podcast-

We're back for yet another Minnesota Vikings and NFL season in 2020, despite the ongoing this and that, which we've heard about at nauseam the entire calendar year. We go over the 53 man roster, including the cuts, of which were a few surprises. We then preview the NFL in general, and eventually come up with this year's pick of who will ultimately win the Super Bowl when all is said and done. As a...

The Minnesota Vikings compiled 15 draft picks in this 2020 NFL Draft, which filled multiple needs and filled several holes that popped up this off-season. Some interesting quarterback drama started to build with the team to the East, along with the also hated Eagles! facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow Send Audio Submissions to: paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Minnesota Vikings and the NFL have entered free agency, as a new league year has begun. Other than signing new nose tackle Michael Pierce, the Vikings free agency period gets an incomplete at best, and all we can say for now is time will tell. We also talk a bit more about the draft, before the official Draft Preview show is released! facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@...

The Kansas City Chiefs were the team of destiny this year, pulling off back-to-back-to-back comebacks over the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and ultimately the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. The Minnesota Vikings coaching staff is now set, what's next? facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Superbowl LIV will be a Sea Of Red, as the San Fransisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs both did more than enough on Championship Sunday, to move on to the biggest game of the year. The Minnesota Vikings have major job openings at offensive and defensive coordinator, but don't expect anything too surprising, as more than likely Mike Zimmer and Gary Kubiak will hire/promote from within. facebook.com/...

Despite what looked like what might become a magical playoff run, we once again appear to be much further away from paradise than we all envisioned after such an impressive performance a mere week ago. We look at the entire Divisional Round, and continue predictions forward. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings proved the masses wrong, as they went into New Orleans ready to play. Nothing about this game came easy, but it was one of the defining moments of Mike Zimmer's career, with a new perfect plan to frustrate Drew Brees. Is this the end for Brady, Brees, Belichek and Frank Gore? Time will tell. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com...

The Minnesota Vikings will play the New Orleans Saints on Wild Card Weekend, and for the fifth time in the postseason overall. Your host previews the entire postseason, and wraps things up with a brief look back at the past decade of Vikings history. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. The Minnesota Vikings had what felt like our annual big letdown on Monday night, as the Purple offense was rendered useless against a greatly improved Packers defense. All of the frustrations we've had the past few years, were back full force. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad choices. It wasn't a bad day for the Los Angeles Chargers, it was pretty much a disaster, as your host called it an "Electrical Fire". After a pretty tight first half, Phillip Rivers started turning the ball over at a reckless pace, along with Melvin Gordon III fumbling multiple times as well. A win is a win, and 12-4 is that much closer, but this game left us wondering what it all means a the end of the d...

The Minnesota Vikings' four game quest to 12-4 is now one fourth of the way there, with a not so interesting 20-7 victory over the depleted and defeated Detroit Lions. The Purple defense looked much better, as Danielle Hunter got three sacks, and a shutout was intact until the final few minutes, but this felt more like a preseason game if anything. Luckily, this one counts! facebook.com/purplemafi...

The Minnesota Vikings came out firing, and then things took a turn for the worse. Xavier Rhodes gets worse week by week, how much longer can this coaching staff put him on the field? Kirk Cousins led another unexpected comeback, but this time things just did not work out, and the officials swallowed their whistles pretty much the entire game. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinol...

In a game that looked horrendous, and reminiscent of last season's debacle versus the Buffalo Bills in US Bank Stadium, to our great surprise things changed dramatically in the second half. With all of that said, Rhodes was a bad as ever, and some of the offensive execution down the stretch was far from pretty, as the offensive line did Cousins and Dalvin Cook no favors. facebook.com/purplemafiash...

After a disappointing game last week, the Kubiak and Stefanski combo came up with a near perfect offensive game plan against a stingy and aggressive Dallas defense. The Vikings conerbacks continued to struggle, but 'Zeke Elliot was rendered nearly useless in a game that feature two great running backs. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Learn more about your ad ch...

The Minnesota Vikings remain win-less historically in Arrowhead Stadium, as yet another backup quarterback was able to make the once great Vikings' cornerbacks look as bad as ever. This loss pretty much falls on everyone, the coaching, the schemes, Cousins' inaccuracy, dumb as hell penalties, and just poor execution to sum it all up. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo...

The Minnesota Vikings won a fairly ugly game on Thursday night, and luckily came out unscathed. Adrian Peterson had his moments, but so did the ever spectacular Dalvin Cook, along with his sidekick Alexander Mattison! facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Learn more about your ad choices. The Minnesota Vikings offense picked up where they left off last week, as Kirk Cousins pitched a near perfect game against the Detroit Lions in Ford Field! Dalvin Cook was nearly impossible to tackle at times, and Stefon Diggs came up huge as well. Aden Thielen will likely miss the upcoming game against the Redskins, with a hamstring pull. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive...

Kirk Cousins answered the challenge issued by Philadelphia Linebacker Zack Brown, who called Cousins the "Weakest Link" of the Vikings offense. While Cousins still has a lot to prove against winning teams and in prime time, this game showed that he's more than capable of putting up a heck of a fight when he wants to. The Minnesota Vikings had a pretty dramatic week off the field, with weird apologies, a hold out, and "Truth To All Rumors", but at least for a few hours, those fires were calmed a bit with a solid balanced attack against the New York Giants. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877 Learn more about your ad choices. It has happened against the Chicago Bears more than any other team the Minnesota Vikings have faced over the years. Yet another "No Name" backup QB made the Vikings look silly. We dig into history yet again today, thanks to this taking place, along with some historical match-ups against next week's opponent, the New York Giants. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com...

The Minnesota Vikings wasted no time scoring on Sunday. As expected, Kirk Cousins had a rebound of a game vs one of the weaker pass defenses in the NFL. More importantly, the Vikings running game continued it's stellar play, despite the Raiders strong run defense, as we saw coach "Chucky" frustrated time and time again. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Call into...

For the second straight year, week 2 in Green Bay was a total waste of what it could and should have been... a Minnesota Vikings win. This time it was Kirk Cousins who let down the team on multiple occasions down the stretch, after the Purple defense stopped the Green Bay Packers in their tracks for three straight quarters. facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow paladinolive@yahoo.com Call...

The Minnesota Vikings offense has done a complete 180 from what John D'filippo had going for Minnesota most of last season. Kirk Cousins only attempted 10 passes, and the Minnesota offense rolled all over the Atlanta Falcons for most of the way. The Vikings defense had a heck of a day as well, with Anthony Harris bringing in two interceptions, and a total team effort nearly shutting out Atlanta's...
