Our World Our Time

When we think of great Hi Hop record labels one name that should be in everyone's top five is Sugar Hill Records. I understand that as time goes on and decades pass us by the importance of old labels that no longer exist get lost. We're talking the first label of Hip Hop though. With that comes a name that has also been forgotten in history... Sylvia Robinson. This episode is about the &qu...

I am going on the expedition to New Mexico and have some reason to fear that I may be annoyed by some individual since I am a mulatta, and it is proper to protect my rights in such an eventuality by an affidavit showing that I am a free woman, unmarried and the legitimate daughter of Hernando, a Negro, and an Indian named Magdalena . . . . I therefore request your grace to accept this affidavit, w...

It's Woman's History Month and ALL MONTH we will be talking about Black females from all over. This episode we're talking about the great Althea Gibson. Please do your own research on this woman.   Blackceezar@gmail.com

We're back and THIS isn't a Black history moment. This is about what was a bit of a controversial a few weeks, Billboards Top 50 Rappers.  Blackceezar@gmail.com

The first show of Black History Month. I know I've said many times I would never, NEVER do an easy person like Fredrick Douglas. The thing is he is the main reason why we have Black History Month. Carter G. Woodson who I mistakenly called him Charles... Stain on me for that one. But Woodson wanted to celebrate Black excellence of that time. He then chose February because it was the birth month Dou...

When you think of sugar you should think of Norbert Rillieux. I know sugar gets a bad rap, and it should but we can't blame Norbert Rillieux. Please do your own research on this man and enjoy this episode.

This was actually the last Black History Moment of 2022, I told you before I don't do this in chronological order. This is about Septimius Severus. A lot of people have no idea this is a Black man. Please do your own research and enjoy the show,

This amazing story came across my timeline on social media, it was about Elizabeth Key Grinstead. The post was more so about who she is related than the historical achievement that she should be known for. I look into the story and found out she was from what is now know as Newport news Va. Grinsyead was the first slave of African descent to be awarded her freedom.  Enjoy this and please do y...

The first episode of the new year and it is about Haiti. In 1804 they became independent. his also the 100th episode and I want to say thank you to all those who have been listening. Do your research on on the Haitian revolution and enjoy the show. email blackceezar@gmail.com

This a one of those somewhat recent moments of history that wasn't really spoken about here in America and then just overlooked by the world. Do some research on Muammar Gaddafi and this bold investment. Enjoy

When we think of the people behind video games as far as coming up with software and putting it together we don't think of Black people. Jerry Lawson was one of the first, if not the first Black dude to be there in the early stages. Do you own research and enjoy the show

Oklahoma has a rich history and an even richer Black history. This episode we talk about Oklahoma and just how former claves found it to be the promise land. Do your own and research and enjoy. The photo was taken from okhistory.org please feel free to read up on this amazing piece of history yourself and enjoy the show.

Ending the month of Native American Indian Heritage Month with something upbeat and positive. Yes, the initial reason on why Susan La Flesche Picotte wanted to become a Doctor was tragic, the outcome was remarkable. Please do your research on this woman. Thank you for listening and enjoy.

I don't post a lot of movie reviews BUT this is Wakanda forever. If you seen the movie you know how deep it really. Thanks for the support and enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Wednesday night, the night before Thanksgiving I messed up on the history moment. This episode I speak on The Wampanoag People. Please do your own research. This story is amazing and like all stories about The native people it gets dark and sad. Thank you listening and enjoy.

The episode is kind of all over the pace. It is about the Taíno people, but I went off course as always. There's talk about politics and employment as well as inflation. I also speak on Hip Hop for a brief moment. If you're familiar with history of Christopher Columbus you know the Taíno people, maybe not by name but you know how things went for them. Thanks for listening and please do your own re...

This episode may be the long one thus far. The reason is there was so much to talk about, get off my chest, that I came close to just not doing the Black History segment and was going to post it separate. From Politics to being pro Black to Ja Rule, yes that Ja Rule, there was a lot I spoke on. The story of Anthony Crawford is a sad one. Please do your own research and enjoy.

I had planned on speaking on this for awhile and never got around to it. The Dahomey people were unique for so many reasons. I can honestly say I do this piece of history no justice. You'd have to spend at the least an hour just talking about the beginning stages on what made Dahomey who they were. With that said, I want to say please go do your own research on these people.

I said it before and I'll say it again, Kanye is half attention whore and mental patient. His name and actions get views and people talking but it doesn't help anyone. This is episode is a week late as far as posting this goes, but his movements make it just as relevant now as last week. Him being Black doesn't get a pass anymore.  We need to get him help or cut him off.

Some didn't think the story of Jeffrey Dahmer should be told. The truth is it needs to be told and the way Netflix did it by including all shenanigans shows just how wild it all was. From gays to AIDS to just the lack of concern for Black people, it is all in play in this series. As of this recording I have yet to watch the last episode. get at Blackceezar@gmail.com or leave a comment somewhere.&n...

The running joke, or insult has been The M She U because of all the female characters of late getting their own shows. She Hulk has just destroyed the MCU formula as well as the last few straws of those haters of the "Woke" shows ie anything with female leads. I had to talk about it after watching the whole season. Fell free to email me blackceezar@gmail.com or leave a comment somewhere.

One of the greatest American plays of all time has to be West Side Story. The story behind the play is kind of unique. I mean the fact that it all changed because regional location is a bit different. I talk about some other stuff as well, but it is mostly about this play and how it was brought to the world.

This episode is late because at one point I felt it was too long. I also felt it may be taken the wrong way, as much I completely feel and see the way entertainment become more racists and hating women hard. Just not looking to come off wrong. With that being said I said what I said and from where I sit I said it the way I see it.  email me blackceezar@gmail.com

Some stories are so crazy that t it can't be real. Tony Mendez was part of the Canadian Caper, please look that up at some point. I also had an alternative motive to speak about Tony Mendez. That would be the film Argo where Ben Affleck portrayed Tony Mendez, a Hispanic man. I had a soapbox moment. With that being said I will do a whole different episode for a rant. As always do your own research...

This is one of those history moments that I couldn't wait to rock with. The night of the show my mic messed up so I couldn't use the clip. With that being said, this just a nice different pace while still giving that history. Thanks to everyone who listens. Get at me Blackceezar@gmail.com
