In Romans 10:1-10, Paul reminds the Church in Rome that salvation is only through Jesus Christ and salvation can never be found in following the law. God became man and acted for man to restore mankind.

In Hebrews 9:1-7, Paul reminds those Israelites who had embraced Jesus as the Messiah that the law and the temple could not accomplish their salvation, instead it is found only in Jesus Christ as the high priest and the sacrifice to cleanse them of sin.

In Romans 5:1-10, the apostle Paul explains how even though mankind did not deserve any of the good that God did for him in restoring him to eternal life, God still did. Man needs to respond in faith and love.

In Romans 2:10-16, Paul explains that all men will be judged by the law of love, not the law of the Old Covenant. He who loves God and loves his neighbor is on the path to holiness, even they who have not heard the gospel. It is love not law that defines the man.

In Hebrews 11:33-40; 12:1-2, Paul talks about those in the past who were faithful to God and looked forward to the promises he gave his people. As the people of God, before the incarnation and after, faithfulness is the calling and responsibility.

In Acts 2:1-11, we read how the Holy Spirit filled the Church and the gospel was preached to the multitude of Jews from all across the known world.

In Acts 20:16-18, 28-36, we read of Paul’s warning to the Church in Ephesus about the coming false teachers who would cause trouble for the Church. As well as his encouragement to stay faithful to the apostolic faith.

In Acts 26:1, 12-20, we read of Paul’s explanation of his faith and work as a missionary to King Agrippa. Even in the face of death, Paul is faithful and takes the opportunity to present the gospel to the king.

In Acts 11:19-30, we read a practical example of how the people of God have been redefined as the Church. The Church is not called simply to be spiritual and go to church services. Just as God created man body and soul, the Church is called to help mankind be complete, both physically and spiritually.

In the book of Acts 9:32-42, we see Paul speaking and acting with the authority given to him by Jesus Christ. He did not act of his own will but by the power of Jesus Christ. In Acts 1:1-8, the evangelist Luke gives a summary of the transition out of the Old Covenant and into the New Covenant. He tells how Jesus has prepared the apostles for their upcoming missionary work to the entire world. In Philippians 4:4-9, the apostle Paul reminds his readers not to be anxious but to instead infuse peace and gentleness into their cultures. Because Jesus Christ is Lord over all creation, the Christian has no reason to live in fear or anxiety.
