Abraham instructs his servant to find a wife for his son, Isaac. The Lord provides a wife for Isaac named Rebekah. 

Abraham buries his wife, Sarah. 

God tests Abraham's faith. 

God fulfills his promise to Sarah, giving her a son. Abraham sends Hagar and Ishmael out of the camp due. Abraham makes a covenant with Abimelech.

Abraham deceives king Abimelech, like he deceived Pharaoh. God exposes Abraham's deception. Abimelech sends Abraham on his way. 

Angels warn Lot that Sodom is about to be destroyed. Lot flees the city but his wife is turned into salt. His daughters take desperate measures to keep the family line going. 

Abraham receives a visit from three mysterious men. Sarah is promised a child. Abraham pleads for the righteous living in Sodom. 

God confirms his covenant with Abram. God changes his names and gives him the sign of circumcision. 

Sarai and Abram attempt to take God's plan into their own hands. Things do not go well, but God is a God who sees and takes care of the vulnerable. 

Abram despairs of every having a son of his own. God reassures Abram with amazing promises. Abram believes those promises and God makes a covenant with Abram. 

Lot is carried off into captivity when Sodom is raided. Abram rescues Lot and encounters two kings on his return from battle. 

The workers of Abram and his nephew, Lot, have a dispute because they're both getting too successful. Abram gives Lot the choice of where to settle, and Lot chooses to settle near Sodom. 

God calls Abram to himself and gives him amazing promises. Due to a famine, Abram takes his family to Egypt. 

The leaders in Jerusalem tell the people to stay in the city, but Ezekiel pronounces judgment upon them for their terrible advice. Even though many are in exile, God promises to bring them back to the land eventually and also promises a greater return, total renovation of the heart. 

God's glory is on the move. It eventually leaves the temple because of the people's sins. 

Ezekiel sees a vision of God's slaughtering all the people of Israel in Jerusalem. Only those who are marked out will be spared from judgment. 

Ezekiel sees four visions of increasingly worse idolatry.

Ezekiel pronounces that the end is not merely near, but here, for the people of Israel. There will no turning back God's judgment. 

God pronounces judgment on the "mountains of Israel," signifying the total corruption of the people. 

God commands Ezekiel to shave off his and beard to foretell of Jerusalem's destruction. God's anger will be unleashed against his people because of their sins. 

Ezekiel depicts the siege of Jerusalem with a model. He later has to eat defiled bread to symbolize the defilement of the people. 

God commissions Ezekiel to go to the people of Israel. Even though the people won't listen to him, God will supply Ezekiel with the words and the boldness to proclaim the messages God will give to him.
