Warts and all...

Ben Shabobbo argues with the captain about some spicy issues.  Pure shit ensues.

The fellas wanna lay down some deeper thoughts about political correctness. Instead, while cramped for time, they venture onto a wild tangent that is juvenile and sophomoric and completely on brand. Clearly the most high brow intellectual episode to date.  (Apologies to Mama C for certain visuals she will not want)

The phone calls surrounding episode 68.  We. Are. Idiots.

The swarthy one gets a day reprieve from the confines of LOP. He does another reading for the show. It appears he has some family issues the captain can relate to. Then Bobby walks us through a more in depth look at Blaze. Bobby then pivots to talking about his lifer friend Big Rob -who seems to be a man that is not to be trifled with.  You can read more about Bobby and prison reform on the w...

This is a large portion of the after show rap sesh between Jen and the Captain. Although the original episode covers a lot of ground, this extra audio adds to Jen's fascinating story arch.

Yes, it's true. This is a must listen. The captain, probably like you, is fascinated by how this happened.  Schnertz sits down with Jen and tries to get all the interesting questions answered. There are many aspects to this and we are sure this episode will entertain. So much so that there will likely be a part two. You may wanna look for it after listening to this. This episode goes over Bobby's health, show format, gun control, scrote-talk and more! This is also Freddie's first attempt at taking over St Producer's behind the scenes production work. This episode was recorded before the storming of the capitol.  You can read more about Bobby and prison reform on our website:  notesfromthepen.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NotesFromThePen Instagram: https://...

Warning! Political talk (sorta). Bobby and the Captain publish a rare midweek episode. This is immediately after we saw the insurrection at the capitol on January 6th.

The Cpt asks Bobby a few tough 'viewer' questions, which leads to a discussion about crime and punishment. Life behind bars is full of isolation and lost connections with the outside world making New Year’s Day the least favorite holiday among inmates, which moody Bobby reminds us of. It’s also hard to remain positive when you’re constantly surrounded by negatively, failure, and hopelessness day a...

Michigan Parole Board process and more view questions.  How much time, and how long does a Michigan parole board meet with inmates during their entire sentence? You're going to be floored when you find out in this podcast. I knew the state incarceration system is messed up, I also knew that the state recidivism rate is high...so I was prepared for an absurd answer...but when I found out I was...

If you could go back in time and have have a talk with your younger self...what would you say? This episode travels backwards in time with Bobby steering the ship for a bit...turns out the Cpt had just ate a magic candy bar.  You can read more about Bobby and prison reform on our website:   notesfromthepen.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NotesFromThePen You can also find us on the following podcast platforms: Anchor Apple Podcasts Breaker Google Podcasts Radio Public Spotify Stit...

Ahhh holiday time with the family as the Cpt and Bobby talk about gatherings and all the trappings. We also learn what celebrating holidays behind bars is like, the fall out from making dildos, and how Blaze is taking November to the next level. At one point Bobby recalls how, shortly after getting off LOP, he was able to steal a few minutes of solitude and become one with the grass.  You can...

Bobby shares his love for a certain, degenerate saint who lives in Bisbee AZ. Nutrition in prisons are notoriously bad and Bobby has enough sodium in his system to salt the entire state of Michigan during the winter months. Growing up as 1/2 asian has Bobby reflecting on the stereotypes, and his drunken search for his biological father. If you liked this episode please visit Notes From The Pen on...

More of the LOP Chronicles. The guys have avoided talking about politics on the podcasts...but that's about to change with this episode. The Cpt misses a Commie meeting in order to get this one out, and Bobby manages to pick apart political arguments - on both sides.  You can read more about Bobby and prison reform on our website:  notesfromthepen.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NotesFromThePen Y...

Bonus beginning clip on this episode, and we also have another guest appearance from GR Joe...aka GR Juice...aka Herpes-Herpes-Herpes!  The guys talk about criminal intent as used in the justice system, Joe learns a new word as he walks off time while sleeping, and they talk about getting old behind bars.  You can read more about Bobby and prison reform on our website:  notesfromthepen.com Twitter...

Oh boy...this one will have you leaning in on every word when Bobby re-tells one of Marshall's fights in prison. Truly a frightening image for sure when we hear how Marshall is nearly killed for standing up against a sexual predator. In between stories from  Marshall - aka Kelly Bundy - and Bobby you'll find a bit of humor, some tales that will leave the hair on the back of your neck stand up...
