Mushing Alaska

Sean's back from his trip floating the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Sean gives an overview of his trip and then we get into all things Iditarod. We discuss some of the non-mushing events leading up to the Iditarod, some of the behind-the-scenes aspects of the race that might get overlooked, and then break down some of the route, mushers and more - we hope you enjoy!

Eddie Burke Jr is our guest on this episode. He is a rookie in the 2023 Iditarod, has won two 200 mile races, placed 3rd in Kobuk 440 and finished a handful of other races. Eddie has only been mushing for about 4 years and can credit his rapid success to his world class sled dogs and mentorship from veteran mushers Aaron Burmeister and Tony Browning.
