Marianna Conway on AllMusic says “Kendrick aint the king of rap, he aint the god of rap, he is rap itself born as a human being raised as a human being grew up to be the legend. if rap was religious, i would call u saint duckworth.” Caleb and Jim talk about Kendrick Lamar’s “magnum opus” (Caleb’s words) and whatever else comes to mind. Thomas Schroter on AllMusic says "Kendrick Lamar finally put together his sound and his style for this mixtape. Each song tells a different part of the theme of the album, and he has everything from deep tracks to radio hits. An excellent album that I go back to all the time." Caleb and Jim talk about Kendrick Lamar’s first great thematic work and whatever else comes to mind. Send us an email: los...

Sure Dynamite happened last night but we still talk about it. Including Jim's "Fantasy" bookings and Caleb not being impressed with the short term prospects for Adam Cole.

When we heard that TAPEDECK's own Bat & Spider were starting to get into the Wrestling Podcasting Biz we knew we had to strike back.

There were a bunch of matches that happened tonight. We don't really talk about them at all. Mostly we talk about Tony Khan and how we feel that AEW is in a bit of a slump. Still you'll enjoy this one.

Come along as we listen to Kendrick start to sound like Kendrick, mostly. He's dropped the K.Dot moniker but he's still trying to find his sound and you can hear it. We thought 2 mix tapes wasn't going to be a big deal but there is a lot going on here and we were just able to scratch the surface. Kendrick Lamar (2009) Overly Dedicated (2010) Some other things we talk about include: Jeapoardy!, the...

This Seattle crowd was on fire. Wow. Great performances all around this evening from the wrestling to the promos.

Join us for episode 2 of our Kendrick Lamar discography journey. No Sleep 'Til NYC features a wide cast of characters so it almost feels odd calling it a K.Dot mixtape and whatever kind of East/West theme they were going for got lost. C4 hit Caleb hard when it came out but he's able to see past the rose colored history to realize there are a lot of rough parts but some diamonds in there too. No Sl...

We weren't too jazzed about the MJF vs Ricky Starks match that is scheduled for Winter is Coming but you give those 2 microphones and they are gonna sell, sell, sell. Our bodies are ready.

2 weeks after Full Gear 2022 and AEW is still leaving us guessing. Trying to wrap our heads around what MJF is going to bring to the table. Loving every minute of what The Elite and Death Triangle are giving us. Wanting more FTR but accepting that The Acclaimed are burning bright while they have the spot light.

A young teenage Kendrick Lamar's first 2 mix tapes. "Jay-Z and Lil Wayne were so hot in like 2003-2004. This is probably every young rapper of that time just sounding like them; doing their impersonation of them." Y.H.N.I.C. The fallout from All Out, but this time there actually was some real implications from things that happened after the PPV. All in all a great show. Hard to tell exactly where the long term story telling plans started and the adhoc throw together something because half of the roster is temporarily suspended. We do get into some of the conspiracy theories but we aren't tin foil hat folks. Also if yo...

This is it. Season 2 is over. We've reached the end of the road. With the last 2 short films we've watched everything that this franchise has thrown our way. We also have our big Season 3 announcement here so if that's all your are interested in there is a chapter marker for you. Live from Caleb's car and even more raw and unedited than usual (blame Anchor not Caleb). CM PUNK. JOHN MOXLEY. KENNY OMEGA. TONY NESE. Okay I was kidding about Tony Nese but he was there. Everybody really on top of their game tonight.

Sometimes a hiatus happens but just because we aren't recording doesn't mean we aren't watching. Nobody wants to hear us recap all of AEW July so we stick to last nights matches. Does it matter when an episode of Dynamite doesn't have a special event title? Going from the 2 week Fyter Fest Shark Week and with Quake on the Lake (which is actually closer to a river, but we'll get into that later) wh...

When your little sister wants to be a guest on your podcast so you let her be on the one that seems like it'll be an oddly tangential to the core FF universe but the movie ends up being really good and you have to convince her the movie is really good. Jim tries to do the b-b-b-b-b-b-bat-and-spider sounder thing for blood and guts and it falls flat. Oh well, better luck next time. Still this was a solid evening all around. Worked on all cylinders and they gave Blood and Guts the time it needed. Caleb did a swear so this episode has been marked as explicit content.

Sometimes life throws you curve-balls. Maybe your podcast recording microphone breaks on you. Maybe you find out that your oldest brother knows your other brother is back in town doing crimes and is hiding that information from your friends. Maybe you find out that your friend who you thought died in a car crash caused by a former MI6 agent in an act of revenge that he now regrets is still alive....

What is a Road Rager? How is it different than a normal episode of Dynamite? I don’t know. They didn’t explain it. I guess that’s kind of the point? Anyway the night started with some kind of goofy gimmicks but Dax/Ospreay match was “straight fire” as the kids say. You know that a Jurassic Express/Young Bucks match was going to bring the flavor and they brought it. Overall a good night.

From the graveyards of Tijuana we are back. Double or Nothing + Dynamite. Obviously you've already read all the Tweets and you know what went down but we are still here to talk to you about what we found the most interesting or odd or challenging or whatever.

Joining Caleb and Jim to discuss Hobbs and Shaw is none other than podcastings paragon of perfection JonesyLovesBeer. Was it a bigger deal to get Jonesy on or to get Jonesy to talk about this Fast and Furious Spin-off? The Rock maximizes his screen time (as you might expect from a Seven Bucks film) but is the real gift of this movie the additional family we gain along the way? Contribute to the Go...

Some people might say that we aren't big fans of Fast & Furious because we pick them apart. But let me tell you we may not be super fans of the franchise but we are fans of getting together and talking about the films. Speaking of fans , one of our biggest fans Joe writes in so stay tuned for the letters segment. Why is every instance of every variation of fan in this description italicized? Becau...

Your favorite semi-regular AEW Dynamite Recap podcast is back on the air with our unedited live-to-tape raw talent. CM Punk proves he's still got what it takes to make a real run for the belt. MJF proves he's still comedy gold. Ricky Starks proves he's got star power. Samoa Joe proves that he's going to have to put a lot of ointment on his chest if he's going to sleep tonight.

Jim and Caleb return to the airwaves for the next hot movie in the Fast and Furious franchise. Is it just me or is this podcast becoming as formulaic as the movies we cover? Also, now that EVERY OTHER PODCAST has talked about The Batman we felt we could finally break our silence and give people what they wanted. • AEW Revolution Post-Show - 2:46 • The Batman - 10:24 • Furious 7 - 21:00 Send us an...

We were so rocked when we attended AEW Revolution we thought about hanging up the headphones because there is no way we could every hope to entertain you even a fraction of what we experienced that night. BUT, here we are giving it our best. What's going on with FTR? Why can't Jim remember anybody's name? What's the deal with the Black Pool Combat Club? Why is Jay Lethal's finisher a joke? Who are...
